I have to dig out the Christmas stuff. I had it in a nice place in the garage, but hubby had decided to put a bunch of junk all in front of it..Guess who is going to move that junk? Nope, not me!!! GGGRRR.
Then the table where the tree goes has new stuff on it and I need to find alternative spots for it.. Looks like since the weather is predicted to be rainy & cold this weekend, sounds like the perfect time to get this all done.

I'm going to try to post pics of my "bubble" tree. I put it up in my office every year. It's one of my faves.

We put up our tree on Saturday. The girls had a great time decorating it. Pictures are in the family album thread.

We still have to go get a tree. It is just so darn cold that I don't even want to think about it. Maybe on Sunday we will go get one.

All fully decorated, tree up and most presents are bought. I am leaving work early today to finish the shopping. Then I need to box up some of these & send off in the mail..I am finally feeling the holidays!!

Maybe I will feel more in the spirit once we get a tree. It just doesn't feel like Christmas to me right now. I haven't done our Christmas pictures that I normally do for our Christmas cards or anything. I don't even think I am sending out Christmas cards cause it is just too late to do it.

Maybe you should just decorate your treadmill in place of the tree.  I don't think it's too late to send cards out. Someone told me this morning the 16th is the busiest mail day so that must be when most people send them. |

Pretty tree rockfordfosgate. MrsM - one year I sent out cards as I received them. A few per day. I've only received one card so far. So I don't think it's too late. |

No too late at all.. I just have to buy a gift certificate then I am done! I am waiting on a few things in the mail though.
The grandkids stuff is packed and ready to go. They already got some stuff from Amazon but this is Grandma's way of spoiling them from a distance.

Love the tree rockfordfosgate. I usually make our cards. I usually do cute pictures of the kids and then turn them into cards and send those out. I don't think I have time to do that this year. |

Enjoying looking at the pictures of everyone's trees! They are all so beautiful! MrsM & fluffysmom, I share your sentiments about not being able to feel the yuletide joy just yet. Christmas has always been my favourite time of year, but this year it is been a struggle to even decorate. Finally forced myself to get our tree up last weekend for my daughter's sake, but I decided to forego the big Christmas village display of porcelain houses and such. It's just seems like too much work this year. All is not lost yet though, still have 2 more weeks to get some baking done, Christmas movies in and wrapping done, as that always seems to do the trick! Curious to find out about everyone's shopping? Is there that special something that someone you know wants and you've been able to buy or are still hunting for? I love seeing the excitement on the faces of others when they've received that one special gift! |
