Chapter 8 DIMERA MANSION ROLF: Susan, please, I have no idea what you are talking about. SUSAN: Oh, yes you do. When I left the room for two seconds to make a phone call to my dear Edmund, you musta hidden him someplace. ROLF: I did not hide him anywhere. I don't know where he's gone. Now, you'd better be going. Stefano will be home any moment now. SUSAN: No. I'm stayin' right here. I'm gonna find out what you and Stefano did to my baby Elvis. BUCKINGHAM PALACE The Queen chuckled slightly and clapped her hands. Confused, but wanting to look like they knew what they were doing, Melchett and Darling clapped their hands, as well. QUEEN: Very good. Very good indeed, Edmund. That was a wonderful jest. BLACKADDER: Jest, madam? QUEEN: Your wisecrack, your prank. Your gag. BLACKADDER: Yes, I know what a jest is, ma'am. However, I think you'll find that I am not jesting. QUEEN: Oh? BLACKADDER: Oh indeed, Majesty. DARLING: You'd better have a might good explanation for this, Blackadder. BLACKADDER: Of course I do, Darling. Darling's eye twitched. DARLING: That's Brother Darling to you. BLACKADDER: You're no brother of mine, thankfully. DARLING: I'm talking about the title I carry as a monk in training. BLACKADDER: Sorry, Darling, but only monks call other monks brother. In which case, i can indeed call you Darling. MELCHETT: Blackadder has a point, Darling. E.J.: Excuse me! All eyes turned to E.J. E.J.: I'm sorry to interrupt this...whatever this is. But, I was knocked unconscious at my home in Salem. When I woke up, I was here. Now, Your Majesty, it truly is an honor to be in your presence. This is something I've dreamed of since my days at Eton. However, I would like to know exactly what it is that I'm doing here and why this...man, for lack of a better term, is claiming that you are my mother and he is my father. QUEEN: Very well. Edmund, begin your explanation. BLACKADDER: Certainly, Your Majesty. |

Chapter 9 DIMERA MANSION Stefano walked in the door and was greeted by Susan. SUSAN: You...you mean, mean, mean man! STEFANO: Susan, my dear. What are you doing here? SUSAN: Oh, you know what I'm doing here, Stefano! What have you done with little Elvis? STEFANO: Elvis? What about him? SUSAN: You stole him, didn't you? You found out from that creepy doctor o' yers that I was here to see him, so you had someone kidnap him! STEFANO: Susan, this is insane! Why would I kidnap Elvis? SUSAN: Because yer tryin' to keep him away from me! That's why you had that Blackadder man kidnap him. STEFANO: Who? SUSAN: Edmund Blackadder. STEFANO: Blackadder was here? SUSAN: Oh, he sure was! And he took little Elvis from me! STEFANO: So, that's why he came back to Salem. BUCKINGHAM PALACE BLACKADDER: It began many years ago. And, I am most sorry, Your Majesty, but I must tell them the whole story. QUEEN: What are you talking about, Edmund? BLACKADDER: I am talking about the affair that we had. MELCHETT: Now, stop right there, Blackadder! Her Majesty has never had an affair with anybody, least of all you. Why, the very idea is preposterous! Baa! BLACKADDER: You wanted the whole story, Melchy, and I'm giving it to you. As I was saying, we had an affair. However, this affair produced a child. Knowing that the royal family would be disgraced if word of the illigitimate son got out, I took Her Majesty's eggs to America. There, I found Susan Banks and impregnated her with Her Majesty's eggs. I did not tell her this, of course, so she probably still believes she actually is your mother. Stefano, on the other hand, knows better. He and I had a chat long ago about your living situation, and he nearly had me killed. E.J.: I might well do that myself. BLACKADDER: So, there you have it, Your Majesty. You have a son. Or, rather, another son. QUEEN: We do not believe it. |

Chapter 10 BUCKINGHAM PALACE BLACKADDER: What's not to believe, Majesty? QUEEN: Edmund, the whole idea of us having a child with you is preposterous. And even if we were to do it, we would, of course, have remembered, wouldn't we? BLACKADDER: Not necessarily. You see, this was the bit I was getting to telling you about before I was interrupted. You were pregnant. And I stole your eggs and gave them to this woman named Susan Banks. However, I didn't tell you that I stole your eggs, and you still believed you were pregnant. Therefore, the only way I saw fit was to wipe your memory of the entire affair. So, I hired a hypnotist. Naturally, I thought it was a bunch of garbage when he told me he was a hypnotist, but it actually worked. QUEEN: And this hypnotist's name? BLACKADDER: Lord Flashheart. Known for being the most hypnotically handsome man in the world. QUEEN: Bring us this Lord Flashheart. DIMERA MANSION SUSAN: What are you talkin' about? STEFANO: That man, Edmund Blackadder, he should never have come to Salem. SUSAN: Why? STEFANO: He and I made a deal many years ago. SUSAN: What kinda deal? STEFANO: A deal that involves Elvis. And he has not kept up his end of the bargain. Now, I must go and find him. Rolf! Rolf appears next to Stefano. ROLF: Yes, Stefano? STEFANO: Pack my bags. Make sure you put in the nicest clothes I have. I'm off to visit the queen. |

Chapter 11 DIMERA ENTERPRISES JET Rolf and Stefano are on the DiMera Enterprises jet. ROLF: Stefano, are you sure about this? STEFANO: Of course I am, Rolf. We must go and find Blackadder and see what he's doing to my son. Knowing him, he's probably snuck his way into the Queen's service. That is why we're going to Buckingham Palace. ROLF: But, what if the Queen really did wish to see Elvis? STEFANO: I had thought of that, Rolf, but then I remembered one thing. ROLF: And what did you remember? STEFANO: If the Queen wished to see Elvis, surely she would have sent an actual messenger ahead, not slime like Blackadder. ROLF: Don't call me Shirley. STEFANO: Also, you have to remember, I have had dealings with Blackadder before. And nothing is ever quite as it seems when Edmund Blackadder is involved. BUCKINGHAM PALACE E.J. is kneeling before the Queen. E.J.: Your Majesty? QUEEN: Yes? E.J.: What shall I do whilst that Blackadder fellow is finding Lord Flashheart? QUEEN: Hmm, a good question. Well, it looks as though you may be here for at least a few days. And, even if we are not family, we shall be good hosts. Melchett? MELCHETT: Yes, ma'am? QUEEN: Show Mr. DiMera to a room. Charles' old one should do. We do hope it has been cleaned up since last we had him and that...woman here. MELCHETT: Indeed, Majesty. E.J.: Thank you, Your Majesty. MELCHETT: Darling, you stay here and entertain Her Majesty. DARLING: Yes, Father. MELCHETT: Come along, Mr. DiMera. Baa! Melchett and E.J. left, bowing as they walked out the door. |
