Chapter 5
SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Theresa had left Marlena's office. Marlena was now staring at the two pictures.
MARLENA: What is going on in all these people's dreams?
She looked again at the pictures. They were both similar. Something strange was going on.
MARLENA: I need to call someone about this.
She got out her phone and dialed a number.
MARLENA: Yes, is Dr. Cooney in her office this afternoon?
In another part of the hospital, Theresa was getting ready to leave.
THERESA: I'm out.
JENNIFER: Excuse me?
THERESA: I've got some important stuff to do, so I'm leaving for the day.
JENNIFER: I don't think so, missy. You've still got work to do.
THERESA: Whatever. I'll do it tomorrow. See ya. Gotta go.
Just as she was about to leave, she bumped into somebody.
THERESA: Hey, watch where you're...
She looked ip and saw that it was her father, Shane Donovan
THERESA: ...going.
SHANE: Speaking of going, I don't think you'll be going anywhere at the moment.
JACK & JENNIFER'S HOUSE
J.J. walked in the door. Jack, in his wheelchair, was in the middle of the living room.
J.J.: Hey, pops.
JACK: Son, where have you been?
J.J.: I told you this morning, I had a final.
JACK: Your final let out well over two hours ago.
J.J.: Oh, yeah. I was...I was hangin' with Bev. I called Mom to make sure it was okay.
JACK: Right.
J.J.: You okay there, pops?
JACK: Actually, no. To be honest, I'm a little confused.
J.J.: About what?
JACK: Well, when you didn't come home the first hour or so after your final should be over, naturally I was concerned. So, I called your mother and asked if she had heard from you, but she hadn't heard from you since she left for work. Also, I was doing laundry today, and found this.
Jack pulled out a large bag of cocaine.
JACK: You wanna explain this to me, son?
