Since so many people in the other thread said they like to watch this show over the summer I thought I'd create a thread for it.
What do you think of this season's contestants? Any favorites or least favorites yet?
For me, I'm still not sure of all the names but my favorite concept is the Meat on the Side girl because that's pretty much the way I eat. I'm not a vegetarian but I've never been a big meat eater. I think I'd definitely check out that show.

I like the show. I can't stand Alton Brown. I find him arrogant and he's the least interesting Food Network star of all. I also don't like Giada. But I love Bobby.

It's funny that you say that Kpatch b/c I never like Alton Brown until I saw Food Network Star. I kind of felt the same way about him but on this show he actually comes off to me as someone who really tries to help the contestants be their best and he does know a lot about food. I like Bobby Flay too. Giada doesn't bother me but I'm not into her style of cooking at all. My favorite person on Food Network right now is the Pioneer Woman.

I really like this program, Bobby is by far the best! It depends on the day with Giada and Alton! I do like Alton better on here than his show.

I wanted to see Danushka go home. Can't stand her. I also don't like Damaris.

I think Danusha got by b/c her food was better than the other two. She is horrible though. She has this, "You bore me," quality when she talks. It's very off-putting.
Damaris is kind of annoying. Giggling and being goofy will only get you so far.
I'm glad my fave survived. I'm starting to like that guy Viet (I think that's his name) too.

Darn, I knew I shouldn't have gone into this thread..Now I know who went home, but I wanted her to go last week too. I love Alton Brown. He was especially wonderful last year.

A lot of the contestants this year have already appeared on the Food Network. One was runner up of the great Food Truck thing, one beat Bobby Flay on Iron Chef, another was on Restaurant Impossible...
