Chapter 1

In the weeks after Hope's capture by Princess Gina and subsequent release, thanks mostly to Bo and Shawn-D, things had gone back to normal. Well, as normal as can be in Salem.

BO & HOPE'S HOUSE
However, Hope was still worried about a few things.
HOPE: We're not safe here, Brady.
BO: Not safe? What do you mean "not safe"?
HOPE: I mean unsafe. As in the opposite of safe. Which is what we are. No one is safe in Salem with Princess Gina still around.
BO: Well, we'll just have to find her, then. Won't we?
HOPE: Easier said than done.
BO: Hey, Shawn and I were able to find you.
HOPE: Yes, but I doubt it'll be so easy this time. Gina's probably going yo be hiding in one of the last places we'd expect.

MAISON BLANCHE
The newly rebuilt Maison Blanche. Stefano is tied down to a chair. His captor, Princess Gina enters the room.
STEFANO: Do you know, this really does look like a perfect replica of Maison Blanche.
GINA: As you well know, Stefano, it is the same in every detail. It has even been built on the rubble of the original.
STEFANO: Impressive. You've done exquisite work, Gina.
GINA: Flattery will get you nowhere. This whole mess is your fault. And you shall pay. All of you shall pay. This time, I shall have my revenge.

I love the way this story sounds. Great premise, André DiMera. Looking forward to it.

Chapter 2

PARK
Mia sat on a park bench, thinking. It had been at least a week since she had received the news. The truly bizarre news.

TONY & ANNA'S HOUSE - FLASHBACK
MIA: You said you needed to see me and that it was important. So, what's going on?
TONY: We have some things to discuss. You never knew your father, did you?
MIA: No. He ran out on my mother before I was born.
TONY: And, who told you that?
MIA: My mother. Why? Does it matter?
Tony sighs.
TONY: Well, I suppose that that's better than telling you that he was dead when he wasn't.
MIA: You know my father?
TONY: Intimately.
MIA: How do you know him?
TONY: Because he's me.
Mia was stunned.
MIA: You...what?
TONY: It happened a long time ago. I was being held captive on an island by my father, Stefano. For a few months, a woman was on the island with me. Because she was the first human company I had had for several years, we grew intimate quickly. But, after a few months, she was taken away. I never knew until John, Marlena, and Anna saved me that I had even had a daughter. That's why I was so interested in you last time you were in Salem.
Mia stood up.
MIA: I...um...I don't know what to say.
TONY: I can imagine that it's quite a bit of a shock. It was a shock for me, too, when I found out.
Mia got her coat and walked towards the door.
MIA: I need to go for a walk. I need some time to process all of this.
TONY: I understand. And, when you're ready, if you're ready, I'll be here.
Mia walked out.

PARK
Mia stood up. She wasn't sure that it could be true. If it was, it meant that she was heir to the DiMera Empire. And, in her previous dealings with that family, that wasn't quite what Mia had been hoping for. She had to sort out once and for all if this was real, or even possible.

I bet it was a huge shock to Mia, but I hope she realizes Tony is not evil like Stefano. Tony probably will make a wonderful father.

Poor girl. That is a lot to swallow.

Better to find out Tony is your father than Stefano. Very interesting start to the story. Looking forward to seeing what twists and turns you have in store for us.

Chapter 3

KIRIAKIS MANSION
Philip and Melanie were lying in bed.
MELANIE: Things have been crazy lately.
PHILIP: I know. I'm so glad that that whole Cynthia business is over with.
MELANIE: Me too. If she hadn't left, I would have clawed her eyes out.
PHILIP: Well, thankfully, she left, eyes still in tact.
Philip and Melanie laughed.
MELANIE: I love you.
PHILIP: I love you.
Philip and Melanie kissed.
PHILIP: Well, now that all that's over, everything should get back to normal.
Suddenly, they heard a struggle going on downstairs.
MELANIE: What's going on down there?
PHILIP: I have no idea.
Philip got out of bed and put some boxers on.
PHILIP: But I intend to find out.
Then, there was a. knock at the door. Several knocks in very quick succession, actually.
PHILIP: All right! I'm coming!
Philip opened the door.
PHILIP: What the hell are you doing here?

I wonder who it could be at the door late at night?

Who could that be??

Chapter 4

POLICE STATION
Hope was typing on the computer, as was Bo who was one desk away.
HOPE: Find anything yet?
BO: Nope. You?
HOPE: Well, I did find this one story about a mansion in New Orleans being restored. But, I doubt that has anything to do with the case.
Hope's cell phone rang.
HOPE: I'll be right back.
Hope got up and went into another room. She answered her phone.
HOPE: Hello?
Pause.
HOPE: Yes.
Pause.
HOPE: Of course.
Pause.
HOPE: Soon. Very soon.
Pause.
HOPE: Keep me updated on the state of things.
Pause.
HOPE: Thank you.

KIRIAKIS MANSION
Philip opened his bedroom door.
PHILIP: What the hell are you doing here?
Stephanie walked in.
STEPHANIE: You always answer the door in your boxers or is this a special treat because you're excited to see me?
Philip grabbed his robe and put it on.
PHILIP: Answer the question, Steph. What the hell are you doing here?
STEPHANIE: I came to talk to you. We have a lot to discuss. Hey Melanie.
MELANIE: Yeah, I'm here. Have been since you walked in.
STEPHANIE: Anyway, I'm back. And a lot's happened since I left.

"The Princess and the Policewoman" will be broadcast Monday through Thursday and will be taking a 1-week hiatus. See you on the 17th.
