Chapter 1 The snow was beginning to thaw. It was that time of year again: Spring. NORSKE NOOK - OSSEO, WISCONSIN Ciara and Claire were sitting in a restaurant, both eating a piece of pie. Ciara's was chocolate while Claire's was banana cream. CLAIRE: I still can't believe you you can get pie for desert after breakfast at this place. CIARA: I know! It's awesome! I was reading through the menu here, and some of these pies have won awards. CLAIRE: Well, I can see why. They're super good! The girls continued eating their pie. After they'd finished, a waitress came and took the dishes away. CIARA: So, where to next? CLAIRE: Well, I've always wanted to see northern Wisconsin. I say we go north, up to the U.P. and then head west. CIARA: Sounds great to me. The two girls put some money on the table. They then stood up and went back to their car. SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL Over the last few years, Melanie had gone to medical school and become a doctor. She was, currently, performing an ultrasound on Chelsea. Max was standing nearby. The monitor was turned so only Melanie could see. MELANIE: Well, everything looks okay. Though, I do suggest making another appointment with your doctor. I wasn't quite expecting this when we started. CHELSEA: You weren't expecting what? MELANIE: Um...well...gee... CHELSEA: Is there something wrong with my baby? Melanie turned the monitor so Chelsea and Max could see. MAX: I don't believe it! CHELSEA: How did this happen? MELANIE: There's nothing wrong with the baby. There's just more than one. It's babies. And there are five of them. |

So the girls are in Wisconsin and then are gonna go to the UP and back track west? What in the world would they want to see in da Up eh? Lol. I lived there, there are pretty things to see but most people would find it boring.

Quintuplets??? Did Chelsea have fertility treatments? Max went to med school too, right? Even so, I can't blame him for asking how that happened. LOL. Hope they can afford all those little mouths. Now you have me craving pie.  Great start, Andre! |

Wow. Five babies. That is a very high risk pregnancy. I wonder if the doctor will suggest fetal reduction. What a hard choice to have to make. I feel sorry for Max and Chelsea. Looking forward to reading more. The girls sound like they are having fun.

Chapter 2 SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL CHELSEA: Five babies? Are you sure that there's five. MELANIE: Yup. That's five. See all of the embryos? CHELSEA: How did this happen? MAX: Well, you see, when a boy and girl love each other very much... CHELSEA: I get that, smart guy. I mean, how did I end up getting pregnant with quintuplets? MAX: Well, we have been trying to get pregnant for a while now. It was probably the fertility medications you were taking. CHELSEA: Possibly. Is there any way that this could happen naturally? MELANIE: There's a chance, but it's slim. MAX: Very slim. CHELSEA: I want them. I don't care if it's high risk. I don't care if we have to change a few things. I want all of them. MAX: So do I, Chels. I want as many babies as you want. And, we'll work out all of this. Together. CHELSEA: Together. Max and Chelsea kissed. SALEM HIGH - PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE Nick was in the middle of doing the announcements. Normally, Max did them. But, as Max took the day off, Nick was doing them, which he didn't mind at all. NICK: ...and those should be finished by the end of the week. Next week is Spring Break, and I hope you all find it enjoyable. This Saturday is Turnabout, where girls ask guys. If you haven't yet, please purchase your tickets for the dance soon. Well, that's all the announcements I have for today. I'll be seeing you all in the hallways. Study hard and do well on your midterms. This is Principal Fallon, have a good day. CAFETERIA Ceri walked in. Sydney was already sitting there. When she noticed Ceri, she stood up. CERI: Hey. SYDNEY: Hey. Sydney and Ceri kissed. SYDNEY: So, I have a question for you. CERI: Okay. What's up? SYDNEY: Will you, um... Sydney started playing with a lock of her hair. SYDNEY: Will you go to Turnabout with me? CERI: Sweetie, I'd love to. Of course I'll go with you. SYDNEY: Great. Sydney and Ceri hugged. |
