Chapter 517e
Philip and Gabi sat at a table in a cafe down the corridor from the Exhibit Hall. “How’s Parker?” Gabi asked, just to make conversation.
“He’s the most amazing kid on the planet.” Philip tapped his phone and brought up a picture of Parker and Orion.
“Aw. Look at him with his little doggie,” Gabi gushed. “Parker’s so adorable.”
“He’s also so smart and intuitive. I sometimes have to remind myself that he’s only six.”
“Sounds like you two have a special relationship,” Gabi observed. “He’s lucky to have you for a dad.”
“Nah. It’s the other way around,” Philip rectified. “I’m lucky to have him in my life.”
“That’s so beautiful. I hope one day—” Her words trailed off.
“You hope what,” Philip pressed.
“I hope I get that lucky one day.”
“You and JJ?”
Gabi blushed. “Maybe. I mean, things are going really well. Not sure if I told you this. We moved in together.”
“So, have you talked about marriage and kids yet?”
“Not in so many words. I guess we should though.”
“Sounds like you’re ready to take the next step.”
Gabi nodded. “You know, when I first met JJ, I immediately decided he wasn’t the right guy for me. I had this skewed image of who I was and what I wanted out of life. But fate has an ironic sense of humor, because now I think JJ’s exactly the right guy for me.”
Philip smiled warmly. “I hope things work out for you two.”
“Thanks. Me too.” Gabi glanced at the time on her phone. “What time is your meeting with Nvidia? I don’t want you to be late.”
“We’re good. It’s not until one this afternoon, but I probably should check into the hotel and catch a little shut-eye and a shower before the meeting. I’m having lunch with Jensen Huang, the Nvidia CEO, and if things go the way I hope they will, K3 will become a household name in no time.”

Interesting that Gabi’s starting to think about having kids. Hope Philip’s meeting goes well.

Wow. Gabi sure has moved quick into the thinking about kids and marriage category while her and JJ are working on things.
I'm glad to see Philip focusing and stepping up to the plate like he is to get K3 off and running. It means he's finally focusing on him and his future and not the past.

Chapter 517f
Alex kissed Stephanie’s bare back from behind. She stirred in bed and rolled her shoulders as the cobwebs cleared from her brain. Her brow knit at she glanced over her shoulder. “Alex?”
“I gotta tell you. I was so surprised when you came onto me last night,” he admitted. “I figured I’d be the last person you’d want to spend the night with after I had to fire you.”
Stephanie pressed a palm to her forehead. “Oh god.”
“And you weren’t even drunk.”
“I was a little drunk,” she told him as she sat up in bed. She reached for her blouse and slipped it on over her bare body. She fastened the buttons and got up.
“What are you doing?”
“Getting dressed,” she said matter of factly.
He reached for her hand. “Don’t. Let’s go for Round Two.”
“I seem to remember we already did.” She gently pulled her hand out of his. “I gotta go.”
“Why?”
“Well, my parents tend to worry about me when I don’t come home all night, or at least give them a call.”
“You still live at home?”
“I moved back into my parents place when I came back from Seattle. And now that I’m unemployed, I can’t afford a place of my own.”
“You can stay with me until you get on your feet.”
Stephanie looked at Alex for a long moment trying to decide if he was sincere. “That’s a sweet offer, but I’ll pass.”
Alex jumped out of bed naked and approached Stephanie. “Even if you don’t move in with me, we need to do this again.”
“Do what? Have sex?”
“That, and go out. Do stuff.”
She took a step back. “Alex, last night was just a one-time thing.”
“Why?”
“Because, I was really down and depressed and I needed something to make me feel better.”
He squinted at her. “Are you saying you were just using me?”
“Are you saying you never used a woman for sex?”
“Well, yeah, sure I have. I’m just not used to be on the receiving end.”
“I’m sorry but I'm guessing it wasn't the worst thing that ever happened to you.” Stephanie stepped into her skirt and zipped it up at the waist. “If it makes any difference, you did make me feel better.”
“Well, I’m the one who made you feel like crap in the first place.”
“You weren’t the only one.” Stephanie eased her feet into her heels. She picked up her purse and moved closer to Alex. She rested her hand on his chest and kissed his cheek. “Take care Alex.” She smiled before turning around and leaving the hotel room.

Usually saying it’s a one time thing ends up being the famous last words
Alex is a bit dbagish but he seems to really have eyes for her which could be a could change for her
She also might help him act like a human being
He’ll be getting the boot soon too from Titan

Chapter 517g
When Stephanie returned to her parents’ apartment, Steve was at the kitchen table reading the back of a cereal box. “Little Sweetness! I was about to call out the National Guard.”
Stephanie plopped into a kitchen chair. “I’ve had the worst couple days.”
Steve reached for Stephanie’s hand. “Tell your papa what happened.”
“I got fired and I got dumped.”
“Huh?”
“I got fired from my job and I found out Nathan has been seeing Melanie at the same time he was seeing me.”
“And he dumped you?”
“Well, technically, I guess I dumped him. I won’t put up with being cheated on.”
“I won’t put up with that little pipsqueak cheating on you either.”
She clasped his hand between both of hers. “Papa. Please. Promise me you won’t do anything.”
Steve shook his head from side to side. He got off his chair and walked to the counter, gripping it hard.
“Pour me some coffee?” Stephanie asked.
Steve picked up the coffee pot and filled a cup. He walked it over to Stephanie. “I just hate to see you so down.”
“You know what would perk me up? You getting back with Mama.”
“If it was up to me, we’d be back together now.”
Stephanie took a sip of her coffee. “But she’s got that dyed-in-the-Shetland-wool Irish stubbornness.”
“She does indeed. Except Shetland is Scottish, not Irish.”
“Irish. Scottish. Whatever. I’ll talk to her again,” Stephanie promised.

Hi friends. Thanks for tuning in and commenting all week. I figured out it's taken 11 months in real time to go 2 months in story time. I'm worse than the actual show! LOL. Thanks for bearing with me!
Here's a sneak peek of the coming week.
-After the California trip, Philip returns home to Parker; Gabi returns to JJ.
-Philip finally gives Nicole a response to her proposal. What will he say?
-As Chloe continues to mull a return to Salem, Mary gives her some good news. What do you think that news might be?
-Finally, Jennifer tells her kids she’s dating Rafe. How will they react?
