Ugh Chloe stop with the pity party already. It's a sad day when Brady is the voice of reason.

Curious what the idea he had is...
Brady got off easy once again.

I wish Chloe would think about Brady's words. Abandoning her family isn't helping anyone.
I wonder what Pastor Joel's idea will be.

Chapter 463
Back in his room after returning from the church support group, Brady lay in his bed at the rehab facility holding a phone and staring up at the ceiling. Knowing that Chloe and Philip were no longer together gave him one more thing to feel guilty about. Contrary to popular belief, he didn’t want Chloe back anymore. That ship sailed long ago, especially since he played a huge role in causing the car crash. It pained him to even think about Chloe, probably similar to the way Chloe felt when she thought about Philip.
Did Philip even know where Chloe was, he wondered. Should Brady call and tell him? That last interaction Brady had with Philip was gut-wrenching. Philip was very clear about never wanting to hear from Brady again. But this was different. This would be Brady helping Philip, not hurting him.
He stared at the phone he was holding in his hand. It was a Tracfone the facility gave to residents, but only if they earned phone privileges. This phone was able to track who Brady called and when. Brady had to tell the administrators the name, phone number and relationship of anyone he wanted to speak with. If they got clearance, the tech team would unblock that number, and only that number. Brady sighed and pressed some keys on the phone. He held it to his ear and waited for an answer.
“Hello?”
“Hey Mel, it’s me.”
“Oh Brady, I’m so happy to hear your voice. These calls are always the highlight of my day,” Melanie said. “Tell me how you are.”
“I’m okay. I just got back from a support group.”
“Is it helping?”
“I guess.” Brady grew quiet. “You coming up this week?”
“Yes, but why do I feel like there’s something you wanna tell me.”
“I don’t know.”
“What are you hiding?” she asked.
“Nothing.”
“Liar.”
“It’s just some gossip I heard,” Brady stated, giving a half-truth.
“You’re not usually gossipy. What’s going on, Brady?”
“Why don’t I wait and tell you when you come visit.”
“I can hardly wait.”
“Me either.”

Interesting that Brady’s first thought was to call Melanie.

Brady is clearly debating having Mel be the messenger However she won’t lift a finger to help as she still acts blameless for her own actions This is likely going to backfire and likely lead to Mel breaking up with him for his concern for Chloe plus her weird obsession with Nathan

I guess Brady feels he has to use Melanie as a go-between but I don't think it's a good idea.

Great...just what Philip needs: Melanie to get involved.
I'm glad Brady is showing a little remorse. I hope he's sober.

I'm glad that Brady is feeling badly. It will likely cause more problems if he tries to involve Melanie. If Brady wants someone to contact Philip he could reach out to Maggie or John.

I'm glad to see that Brady is remorseful about what he did and his part in all of the events that took place. I don't think that getting Melanie involved in it would be wise tho.
I'm tired of Chloe's pity party and running away.
I wonder what Joel's idea is.

Thanks for reading and commenting my friends.
Before we go too far afield, have no fear. Melanie will not be in the middle of anything. As a reminder, even though Brady may not know it, Philip already knows where Chloe is. Xander told him right away.
I too was hoping Chloe would let Brady have it. But it hasn’t been that long since her baby died and she woke up from the coma. Chloe hasn't fully processed the whole thing. Chloe lost a child due in part to her own actions. I know from experience that losing a child is hard enough all by itself. I believe that blaming herself is a defense mechanism, exchanging anger for grief and pain she’s afraid to give into. Abandoning Parker was unconscionable but she has convinced herself that she is saving him from a dangerous mother. Hopefully we can get her head screwed on right some time soon.
Here’s a taste of what’s coming up next week.
-Belle pleads with Hope. -Kayla makes a decision. -Mary drops in on Chloe at the condo and is surprised to learn she’s living with a man.

Wonder what Kayla’s decision is, and how Mary reacts to Chloe’s living situation. Glad to see Belle!
Thanks for the previews!
