Aww that was a cute scene with Philip and Parker.
Someone please go put Alex in his place now, though.

Chapter 461b
“Am I gonna learn it in school too?” Parker asked his father.
“I’m not sure, but even if you don’t, I can teach you. And if you do, you’ll have a head start.” All at once Philip remembered a book his father gave him when he was a small boy, younger even than Parker. The book depicted all the major figures in Greek mythology along with their history.
He may have learned about the constellations in school, but he learned Greek mythology from that book. As a young boy and even into his early teens, he became fascinated with the subject and spent hours in the library researching all the Greek heroes and heroines. He read that original book many times over, letting his imagination take him to ancient Greece. When he was little, he often wished his father would have sat him on his knee and read the book to him, but that never happened. He was left to read it on his own. But he knew he had no room to criticize his father anymore, not when he’d neglected Parker for nearly two whole months at a time when Parker needed him most.
He pointed to the sky again. “Those top two points of light represent Orion’s fingertips. The bottom two are the tips of his toes. See that?”
“Uh huh.”
“Now you can focus on trying to see the rest of Orion. Off to the right, he’s holding a bow and arrow. And about halfway between his fingers and toes, you can see a string of stars going across. That’s known as Orion’s belt.”
Parker’s mouth formed into a big “O” and Philip smiled. “You see, it now, don’t you.”
“Wowee zowee!”
“Orion was a hunter in Greek mythology,” Philip continued. “We can look him up on your tablet tomorrow and learn all about him, and I can tell you about the other constellations too.” The ones he remembered, anyway.
Parker clasped Philip’s hand and snuggled against his father’s arm. “This is fun. Daddy? Do you think you’re ever gonna remarry?”
That question seemed to come out of nowhere and took Philip by surprise. “Um. Why do you ask?”
“Cuz I want you to be happy.”
Philip smiled slightly at that innocent statement. He knew all too well that marriage was not an automatic ticket to happiness. “Thank you, Parker. To be honest, I haven’t given any thought to remarrying.” Besides which, he was still legally married to Parker’s mother. “I’m perfectly happy being with you.”
Parker looked up at his father’s face and smiled a toothy grin. “Me too!”
Philip pulled Parker into his arms and breathed in the moment.

Well I’m glad Philip wants to do for Parker what his dad wouldn’t do with him I hope when this trip is over they both have a new outlook on everything and are able to stick together It seems the bonding period is great for them And no Philip doesn’t need to think about remarrying just yet

Sweet moments. Interesting that Parker wants Philip to be happy and remarry. I wonder if he reunites with Chloe, he will reject and push her away. I can't say that I blame him. She's put him through a lot. (And note: no, I'm not cutting her any slack LOL)
I'm glad they're looking at the stars together. Constellations was a thing for my family, too. Plus, I liked the nod to Philip both wanting to be a better dad, and that he has a lot of work to make up for two months of hell he put Parker through. At least he is trying to be a good parent to Parker.

Oh wow. I'm loving this father/son time but that question really did come out of nowhere. I think Philip handled it perfectly. It's so sweet that Parker just wants Philip to be happy. I think in some way, he's hoping for a full family again - even if it's not with Chloe.

Chapter 462a
Brady was sitting on a bench in the corridor outside a classroom at Lakewood Church waiting for the addiction support group to begin, along with other men and women who were milling about nearby. His eyes bugged out when he spotted Chloe walking through the hallway holding a notepad. He called out to her without thinking. “Chloe!”
Chloe did a double take and stopped in her tracks. “Brady? What are you doing here?”
“Waiting for my support group class.”
“I didn’t know you were in Chicago,” she said.
“Yeah. I’m in rehab. At Betty Ford down the street. The first part was court ordered. Then I reupped. I guess I’m not ready to face life on the outside yet. I still…I still can’t get past what I did to you.”
Chloe nodded but said nothing.
“I didn’t know you were in Chicago either,” Brady commented. “I had no idea you and Philip moved back to Chicago but I guess it makes sense since he needed someone to run Media and it wasn’t gonna be me.”
Chloe was surprised Brady didn’t know about the turmoil at Titan, but she herself didn’t know about it until Xander told her. Right now, she didn’t feel like prolonging the conversation, so she didn’t mention it. All she said was, “Philip’s not in Chicago. I came alone.”
“You split up?” He couldn’t hide his surprise. “Chloe, why?”
“I’d better get back to work.”
She started to get up but Brady grabbed her arm. “You work here?”
“Yes.”
“Wait. Answer me, Chloe. Why’d you and Philip split up? Did he throw you out?”
She glanced at Brady’s fingers around her arm and pulled out of his grip. “I don’t want to talk about it.”

To be honest Chloe isn’t my favourite person right now but I am fully expecting her to unleash a lot of fury on Brady He deserves it and she shouldn’t let him off the hook as easily as melany did

Brady doesn't know a lot of things... he's so smug and arrogant to think that Chloe would want to reveal any personal details after what transpired. I hope she tells him about the miscarriage and I hope he understands his impact.
I'm going to say it: Brady's at fault in my eyes. I get the other factors (Kayla approving overtime, Daniel not wanting to sleep at the hospital, Nicole wanting Daniel home sooner, Chloe not calling someone else for Brady), but ultimately, Brady is the primary person responsible for this tragedy and he seems to have gotten away with any sort of repercussions. He's destroyed everyone around him.
Also, I hope Chloe finds out about the free pass he got and starts to put the pieces together of the trauma she put Philip through. If he were in his right mind, he never would have agreed to Brady getting cushy counseling.
I hope she blasts him.

Chapter 462b
“Answer me, Chloe,” Brady insisted. “Why’d you and Philip split up? Did he throw you out?”
She glanced at Brady’s fingers around her arm and pulled out of his grip. “I don’t want to talk about it.”
“Did you know Philip came to visit me in rehab,” Brady asked
Chloe sat down on the bench and set her notepad beside her. “When?”
“A while ago. November I think. He reamed me out something fierce. Can’t blame him after everything I did. I’m pretty sure he wanted to kill me.”
“Then he should kill me too. I’m just as much to blame as you.”
“No you’re not. I’m the one who was high and had my foot on the accelerator and wouldn’t let you steer. That’s on me.”
She looked at him for a long minute. “I heard about that but I don’t really remember. All I know is that I made some really bad choices and I need to pay for my mistakes.”
“Pay? How?”
“By losing my family. I don’t deserve to be Philip’s wife and Parker’s mother. I proved that already. I can’t risk harming them more than I already have.”
“Chloe, it wasn’t your fault.”
“Yes it was. I tried to help you, to cover for you, instead of leaving it to people who were more qualified. More than that, I should have told Philip what was going on.”
“I asked you not to,” he said quietly.
“I didn’t have to listen though, did I?”
“You shouldn’t be here, Chloe. You should go home. To Salem,” Brady advised. “To Philip and Parker. You may think you’re only punishing yourself, but you’re punishing them too.”
Chloe rose to her feet and picked up the notepad. “I have to get back to work. I hope Betty Ford can help you more than I did.”
~~~
Pastor Joel Osteen had been in the classroom talking to the substance abuse support counselor. All their counselors were members of the church who had personal or professional experience and volunteered to lead one of Lakewood’s support groups. As he started to exit the classroom, he inadvertently overheard the tail-end of Brady and Chloe’s conversation. Joel first met Chloe soon after she began working for the church. He knew her situation and he and Victoria often talked about ways to help her, knowing how much emotional pain was in. Hearing the conversation gave him an idea.
The counselor emerged from the room. “Okay everyone, come on in and let’s get started.”
I’m interested in what the idea is Chloe isn’t helping anyone and she should have made what Philip said to Brady seem pleasant in comparison He hasn’t really suffered any real consequences Philip washing his hands of him has no real impact as they’re not and never were on good terms Brady never will hit rock bottom at this rate and Chloe still needs a serious slap to snap out of this
Chloe’s clearly only interested in playing martyr, not listening to what anyone is actually saying.
Wonder what the idea is.
