I'm thinking Gwen has too much of a soft spot for Philip. I'm glad he didn't open up to her, but he does need to talk to someone. He can't keep on like this.

Run, Philip, run!
I’m not sure how I feel about this woman seeing Parker at this point, much as I know he needs to be getting some therapy. I definitely don’t want her talking to Philip about his problems—I think she might use that to attempt something sneaky with Philip and Chloe for her own benefit.
Where are Mary and George when we need them?

I think she was a bit too pushy on the subject as well And honestly as if Parker was coming without his mom Obviously Chloe would want to be there That alone makes me think she wants something from him Or perhaps she’s secretly on victors payroll and she’s trying to cause a rift?

I’m not sure what to make of Gwen just yet. She seemed like she was really pushy towards Philip.

So far I do not like Gwen. She seems unprofessional and too interested in Philip

My poor baby Philip losing Chloe was probably the hardest thing he ever went through. Even harder than losing his leg I hope he talks to someone about those horrible dreams he keeps having. Brady should go back to wherever the hell Nicole is and help her with her career. I don’t see why he keeps showing up to help Chloe. Great chapter keep em coming.

I'm glad that Philip didn't tell Gwen much. He needs to find someone to talk to who he doesn't know personally.

Chapter 10c
He forced a smile at Gwen, then turned to his other colleague. “Hey Bill, got a minute? I have a question for you.”
“Sure.” Bill said.
Philip put his arm around Bill’s shoulder and walked him to another area of the boat they were on. “You’re a realtor in your real life, right? Can you find out for me how much a property was purchased for?”
“Sure, that’s easy.” He pulled out his phone. “And you don’t need a realtor’s license to find that out. Here.” He opened a website on his phone. “What’s the address?”
“Sixteen Mango Lane, here in Marathon,” Philip told him. It was the address of the club Brady bought.
The man keyed in the address. After a moment, he turned the phone so Philip could see the display. Philip’s eyes widened. “Wow. That much?”
“That’s actually not a bad price for a property in that district.” He looked at the screen. “Ten thousand square feet. Corner property. Decent size parking lot in back. Looks like it needs some work, but I’d say the buyer got a good deal. Why are you asking?”
Philip licked his lips. “I was thinking about buying that property myself but I couldn’t get near that price right now.”
“If you want to look for something comparable, just tell me your price range, and I’ll do a search.”
“Nah, I think I’ll give it a rest for now. But thanks for your help.”
“Any time.” Bill started to walk away. “Say, Philip, if you qualify for a mortgage, you’d only need to put a percentage down. That’s what this buyer did.”
Philip’s lips parted. Of course!, he thought to himself. For years, he’d watched his father build an empire without ever buying anything outright, whether it was real estate or a new company he was acquiring. He cleared his throat. “Does it say how much money the buyer of that property put down?”
Bill scrolled down a little. “Ten percent. Pretty standard if you don’t mind high payments.”
“No kidding. Just ten percent?” The wheels started turning. “That’s much more doable. Thanks Bill.”

Uh oh. I don't think this will end up working in Philip's favor......and given Chloe's "aha" moment, I wonder if she's the one that put the down payment on it.

I’m not so sure it’s gonna be as easy as Philip thinks it is.

God I wonder what Philip is up to. I can’t wait to read the next chapter?

This is a bad idea. Philip really needs to talk to Chloe rather than get in a bidding war with Brady or whatever it is he's doing.

I smell Victor at work...wouldn’t be a surprise at all to find out that he’s behind this, either to mess with Chloe or persuade Philip to rejoin the family business...or both. Philip needs to play his cards carefully here.
