Slow down Brady. Chloe hasn't committed to this yet.
And before she goes any further, she needs to tell Philip. He needs to be on board with keeping Parker at night (which I'm sure it won't be a problem - but to make the decision for him is just wrong).

GOOD GRIEF.
Where is Nicole? Is she coming to live in this town while Brady is developing and running this new business? And why isn’t Chloe asking these questions? And if Parker needs you so much, why are you planning to be away from him every night after he’s in school all day?
Clearly, Chloe is not in possession of the shared Salem Brain.

Chapter 8a
As soon as Chloe walked through the door, Philip handed her a business card.
“What’s this,” Chloe asked, reading the card. Her eyes widened. “Gwen McMullen, LCP, family therapist.” She looked back at Philip.
“Gwen is the Coast Guard reservist I told you about,” he explained. “LCP means she’s a licensed clinical psychologist. I spoke to her about Parker and she said she’d be happy to take him as a patient. She doesn’t specialize specifically in child psychiatry, but she’s worked with children before.”
“Philip, this is wonderful. How well do you know her? Do you trust her?”
“I see her every week at the meeting and I have a good impression of her. She seems really smart. She even said she’d extend us a military discount as a courtesy.”
Clutching the card, she smiled. “That’s nice of her, but Philip, Parker is my responsibility. I’ll accept the military discount courtesy, but I’m paying. I don’t want you to think you need to—”
“Chloe, we’re a team. Parker’s like a son to me. Hell, he was my son once, and now I consider him my son again. Besides, you don’t have money.”
“Well, actually, I do. Well I don’t yet, but I will. Um. I have news,” Chloe told Philip, nervously twisting her hands together. She knew this was going to be a tough sell, but she had to get it out there. “I got a job.”
His eyes widened. “A job? I didn’t know you were looking.”
“Well I wasn’t, but it sort of just fell in my lap.”
“Where? At Parker’s school?”
“No. It’s a singing job.”
“Seriously?" His lips curved into a smile. "That’s incredible, sweetheart. I didn’t think there were any singing jobs around here. Where's the job?”
“Well, it’s at a brand new club." She opened her purse and took out her phone to show him a photo she took. "Actually, um the place hasn’t opened yet. It’ll be a while before I start.”
He looked at the picture, then handed back the phone. “Uh. I’m confused.” This was starting to sound a little fishy. What was Chloe getting herself into, he wondered. “If you weren’t looking and the place isn’t open yet, how did you get the job?”
“It’s um an old bar restaurant and it’s vacant. I’d love to show it to you in person. Maybe we can take a drive over there later.” She took a deep breath of courage, even though she could predict Philip’s reaction. “Actually, Brady’s buying the property.”

I’m pleasantly surprised that Chloe actually told Philip the truth about where this job is coming from. I’m sure he’s not gonna be thrilled, but hopefully they can talk this out like mature adults.

Holy cow! Chloe actually said something to Philip before he found out another way! Color me shocked!
This won't sit well with Philip tho. I see him going out and trying to either buy out from under Brady or opening up a competing bar and getting Chloe over there.

“Brady??” He cringed. “Geez. I should have guessed.”
“Philip, I know what you’re thinking but it’s nothing nefarious," she said quickly. “I swear. Brady just wants to be involved in a business that has nothing to do with Titan.”
“I know that feeling,” he mumbled.
“Yes, you do. And the opportunity just presented itself. Really. He’s going to turn the storefront into a night club and I’ll be performing there.”
He squinted at her. “The opportunity just presented itself, huh. Why a night club?”
“Pardon?”
“Why not a deli? Or a souvenir shop. Or a book store? And why here out of all the places in this whole wide world. Why Marathon, Florida?”
“Because he wanted—”
Brady’s entire scheme was finally becoming clear. Before she could answer, he interrupted. “I know what he wanted,” Philip said angrily. “He wanted you.”
“Philip, we’ve been over this before. Brady’s in a relationship with Nicole. He doesn’t want me. And even if he did, he can’t have me. I’m with you.”
“For how long,” Philip mumbled under his breath. Then louder, he stated, “I have to tell you, Chloe, I’m not happy about this.”
“I know, and I’m sorry. But, Philip, Brady’s just the financier. He’s going back home before long. He’ll hire a manager to run the place, and we’ll hardly ever see him. Philip?”
“Yeah.”
“Please don’t make more of this than it is. I need this.”
His brow knit. “What do you mean ‘you need this’?”
“I mean I’ve been at loose ends for a long while now. All I do is take Parker to school and pick him up. Help with his homework. There’s not much for me to do on the Key. Or even in town. I know I should be satisfied being a stay-at-home mom, and being with you, but I need something more. I need something that gives me a sense of accomplishment. You know?”
He stared at her for a moment before asking, “Why didn’t you ever tell me that before?”
She shrugged. I don’t know. Sometimes you’re really sensitive and I didn’t want you to take it wrong, to think that just because I don’t love it here means I don’t love you.”
“Okay, I get that. I know I have a tendency to overreact sometimes. But it sounds like you talked to Brady about it. So why were you able to talk to him and not me?”

No surprise at Philip's reaction, but it is still a very good question. Their relationship won't last if they are walking around on eggshells all the time with the other one. It's not fair to anyone to be in that position. If you can't be yourself and honest with the person you are with, then you aren't with the right person.

Maybe I’m alone here but Philip asked the right questions, why a night club and why there of all places and the statement about brady wanting her I dunno was that out of line there is definitely a motive behind Brady’s sneakiness and asking why she can talk to brady and not him it’s a fair question
Really he said and asked the same things most of us were thinking
For me I prefer the truth than for him to pretend to be happy about it when brady won’t fess up about why he’s really there

Good on Philip for recognizing that he overreacts.....and for starting a much needed conversation. And I still think Brady is up to something super sketchy. I want to know about Nicole—he’s hardly talked about her at all!
