I agree with melly. I have always doubted Monica was alone in this plan.

Chapter 42a
Chloe caressed Philip’s cheek. “I promise to always be there for you from this day forward, in good times and bad.”
“Til death do us part?”
Chloe smiled broadly. “No, not us. We always find our way back to each other. Even death can’t part us. We always said that, remember?”
Philip touched her chin. One look at those beautiful blue eyes of hers caused a tingling in another part of his body and he immediately captured her lips. She rolled on top of him.
“Daddy, have you seen Mommy?”
Philip and Chloe’s eyes widened at the sight of Parker standing next to the bed. Chloe rolled off Philip and covered herself with the sheet.
“Oh, you’re in here. I was wond’ring where you was, Mommy.”
“Hey big guy. Good morning.” Philip reached down and picked up Chloe’s nightgown from the floor next to the bed. He tossed it over to her before lifting Parker onto the now-crowded bed. He set Parker on his thighs atop the covers.
Chloe scooted under the covers to put her nightgown on. “Why you hiding, Mommy? Why’s Mommy hiding?” Parker asked.
“Um, she’s just putting on her nightgown,” Philip explained.
“I saw you kissing. Does that mean you’re getting married?” Parker asked.
Chloe popped her head out from under the covers and looked at Philip, who said, “Well, Miss Lane? Your son’s waiting for an answer.”
Chloe smiled and touched Parker’s face. “Yes, angel. Very soon.”
Parker raised his arms like a football official confirming a touchdown. “Yay.” Philip let out a hearty laugh. A second later, he said, “Can I have a turtle?”
“A turtle?” Philip hesitated. “Turtles are a little big to keep in a condo.”
“I think he’s talking about the kind of turtle you keep in a fishtank,” Chloe explained, “not a Galapagos sea turtle.”
“Yeah!” Parker blurted out. “A little one, like Derek has.”
“Oh Derek.” Philip rolled his eyes. “Well of course Derek has one. Why didn’t I think of that?” Philip glanced at Chloe. “What do you think?”
“You'd have to promise to help take care of it, Parker,” she said.
“I will. I will. I promise!”
“We’ll think about it,” Chloe said.
“Yes!” Parker climbed off the bed.
“Hey big guy, where are you going,” Philip asked.
“Kitchen. I’m hungry.” Parker walked backwards out of the room. “We going to the office today,” he asked.
“It’s Saturday, angel,” Chloe said. “I’ll be out in a minute to make you breakfast.”

It's cute that Parker wants a pet turtle. I had a cousin who had a turtle once. They take a lot of work to keep clean, so I hope Philip, Chloe and Parker are up for it.

Parker seemed ok with the idea of going to the office today, so maybe he's adjusting after the kidnapping.
I'm a smidge concerned that there seems to be a wedding in the works again. I'm not convinced that these two are ready for that yet.

I'm glad that Parker seems to be ok with going back to the office.
Too funny about jumping from a wedding to wanting a turtle. Those things can really stink tho if not kept clean. The boys kept a turtle outside and even then it still stunk if not cleaned on a timely basis. One night tho, something knocked the tub over he was in and he got out and I guess went back to the pond by our house (and no, that something was not me!). The boys had lost interest in him so while they were upset, that didn't last more than an hour. LOL
Chloe and Philip DO NOT need to be rushing into a wedding.

I wasn't aware that Parker knew Chloe ended things with Philip Maybe he's just more perceptive that they realise and if that's the case they ought not to be talking about marriage until they repair the rest of their lives first

That's a kid for you jumping from one topic to a completely different one.
I'm glad to see Parker feeling better and actually asking about going to the office. I'm sure that knowing his parents are together and happy will make him feel safer.

Chapter 42b
“Hey big guy, where are you going,” Philip asked.
“Kitchen. I’m hungry.” Parker walked backwards out of the room. “We going to the office today,” he asked.
“It’s Saturday, angel,” Chloe said. “I’ll be out in a minute to make you breakfast.”
As soon as Parker was gone, Philip brushed Chloe’s hair away from her face and held her cheek. “Who would have thought that my son would be my best spokesman?”
“What does that mean,” Chloe asked with a chuckle.
“He asked the love of my life if she wanted to marry me. And she gave him the answer I longed to hear.”
Chloe looked down for a moment. “We got married on the yacht.” She looked up and locked eyes with Philip. “Now all we have to do is make legal.”
“Lucky for us, we still have a date and venue set for next month.” Philip leaned closer and kissed her lips.
“Mommmmmy.”
Chloe leaned her forehead against Philip’s and laughed. “Your spokesman calls. Coming angel,” she shouted. Looking at Philip, she said, “Our son seems like himself today. Everything feels normal again.”
“I was thinking the same thing,” he told her. “It’s like a miracle.”
“It is! I want to save today in a bottle.” Chloe sighed wistfully before rolling off the bed. Pulling her hair out of her nightgown, she looked back at Philip. “You coming?”
“In a minute,” Philip said as he tossed off the covers. “There’s something I need to do first.” He reached for his phone on the nightstand and looked up at Chloe. “I need to call my father and thank him for sending Hope and Rafe to help find Parker.”
“So early?”
“You know Victor. Early to bed, early to rise,” Philip said. “He’s like a bat. The man never sleeps.”
“I should call my parents too. But I guarantee you that Nancy’s not awake at 7 a.m. on a weekend. I texted her when Parker came home but I guess I should call too. Later.”
When Chloe left the guest room, Philip hit a key on his phone and waited for his father to answer. “Dad, it’s Philip. Listen, I wanted to call and say thank you for what you did—”
“Save your thanks,” Victor’s gruff voice came through the phone. “Maggie and I will be in Chicago on Monday. There are some things we need to talk over.”
“Oh.” Philip was surprised. He knew Chloe wouldn’t be thrilled with having company, especially when that company was Victor Kiriakis. “Okay. I’m sure you both want to see with your own eyes that Parker’s fine.”
“Tell your girl — what’s her name, Trixie?”
Philip’s brow knit. “You mean Tracy?”
“Tell Tracy to have my office space ready for me.”
Philip’s lips parted as the realization hit. “You’re coming to the office,” he stated flatly.
“This won’t be a social call, Philip. It’s business.”
The end

Oh my soul--we're going to see Victor and Maggie? I love them....though I admit neither of them are at their best in dealing with Philip. I am VERY curious about what is up....

Victor is on the warpath about something. Hope Chloe doesn't get crazy over it and blame Philip for the next problem.

Interesting ending to the story. Wonder what Victor's issue is. And I hope it doesn't lead Chloe to blame Philip for it again. Thanks for the story, Kpatch.
