So glad that Chloe finally realizes how she's been acting! I hope Philip forgives her, and that she accepts it.

Well, that's definitely a start, but it sounds like she's headed the pity party route for being someone that he couldn't count on. All of this is very high level of how she's behaved. I want to see her really dig down deep and tell him everything the way she did with Mary. I also need Philip to get serious about this discussion. Them having sex and then having this discussion and Philip being giddy doesn't make the conversation seem as eye opening and serious as what it needs to be. I understand he's over the moon over the night's events, but with the history of these two, if this conversation isn't taken to heart, then they are doomed to repeat everything when the next tragedy rears it's ugly head.

I hope Chloe realizes she can't do this to Philip each time he may possibly upset her. She really needs to get over herself right now!

Chapter 41b
“Why do you even put up with me,” Chloe asked. “And I swear I’m not fishing for a compliment. It’s just, well, the reason people have a life partner is to have that one person you can always count on, and I’ve proven time and time again I’m not that person.”
He took her hand and wouldn’t let her pull away this time. “Okay, yes, I agree that you weren’t there for me when I needed you, and you wouldn’t let me be there for you either. That wasn’t good. It was hard on both of us. And yes, I do tend to make excuses for you, knowing you’ve struggled with mental health issues. So yeah, it would be better for all of us if you could have more self-awareness in the moment, not just after the fact.” Chloe nodded and swiped a tear away. “But Chloe, why I put up with you is because you’re more than just my life partner and the woman I’ve loved half my life. You’re my best friend. You’ve been my best friend even when we weren’t a couple. You’ve been there for me through so many of my own struggles and you’re one of the few people who never judges me.”
“Except for the Monica thing.”
“Yeah, well, other than that,” he said with a half smile. “I’m an amputee and you never make me feel like I’m anything less than whole. You have no idea how big a deal that is for me. Don’t think I don’t notice all those little things you do to make my life easier, like making sure to put the rubber mat in the stall before I take a shower, and organizing things around the condo so I have to do a minimal amount of bending and reaching. And a million other things. Those actions are filled with love.” He squeezed her hand. “Look, we’re in this together, Chloe. The ordeal was tough enough without—.”
“Without me making it worse by blaming you, especially when you were just as much a victim as Parker was.”
He nodded. “You’re right, and I can’t do it alone, and live life as if I don’t have a … a you. We have to be a unit. Can you do that?”
Chloe looked upward. “Oh god. I’m sure gonna try.” She looked at Philip. “I know second chances are finite. By definition there should only be one second chance and I know you've been infinitely generous with me. I want this to work, Philip, more than anything, and I know just wanting isn't enough. It takes work and the burden is on me because Lord knows you've done your share, and then some. So I'll see Mary every day if that’s what it takes. I'll listen to self-help podcasts instead of music, but mostly I'll talk to you and I'll just keep talking and listening and learning to be the partner you deserve. I don’t want to lose you Philip. I know there’s no one better than you.”
“Hey, I’m not perfect.”
“Yes you are. You’re perfect for me. I don’t want to screw up next time.”
“I don’t ever want there to even be a next time,” he said, “but yeah, you have to turn to me, babe, not turn against me and not away from me.”
She looked into his eyes. “That should be the easiest thing in the world considering how I feel about you.”
He held her shoulder and said, “Then let’s make a promise to each other, okay?”
Chloe caressed his cheek. “I promise to always be there for you from this day forward, in good times and bad.”
“Til death do us part?”
Chloe smiled broadly. “No, not us. We always find our way back to each other. Even death can’t part us.”

PHilip really has rose colored glasses on if he thinks Chloe never judges him. That's all she's been doing for months.
This conversation was a good first step. I hope there's some follow through and not the same old pattern.

I'm glad Chloe said all that. And that Philip admitted he's not perfect either. They both have a LOT of work to do if they really want to get this right.

I think that Chloe should continue counselling for all her issues and perhaps the two of them together from time to time. Love sometimes isn't enough, but this is a start!

This is a good first start. I don't like how they kept interrupting each other. I understand that they feel they are soul mates but you can't listen if you are cutting each other off. And it's easy to say the words. Chloe has said the words over and over and over...it's her follow through that needs some serious help. She needs to turn to Philip the way that she turns to Mary. I'm so glad that Philip acknowledged where/when he needed Chloe and she wasn't there for him. Chloe needs to hear that....she needs to completely see that this isn't just about her and her feelings and that for everything that Philip does for her emotionally he needs that in return. I especially loved the comment about her having more self-awareness in the moment, not just after.

It was a good start, I still think Philip is blind to who Chloe is, I don't think she will turn to him she always turns on him A lot of her issues are just that she's a diva, yes she's apologising but always after she made things 100 times worse than they needed to be I don't know if Mary can actually help diva but I'm sure she will keep trying for the right price

I'm glad that Chloe and Philip are discussing these issues. I think that Parker will get over his ordeal faster now that his parents are getting along. The tension wasn't helping any of them.

Forgot to ask yesterday, boss, but will you be giving us previews this weekend?

Thanks for asking melly. Hmm. Not much going on this week. Let's see. Philip and Chloe get interrupted. Parker unwittingly acts as Philip's ambassador. A phone call rattles Philip.

My money is on the phone call giving us a clue about Parker's kidnapping. I still haven't bought in to the idea that Monica was the only person behind it....
Thanks, boss!
