Thanks for reading and commenting, everyone! That reveal at the end of yesterday will have some interesting repercussions. Next week... David makes an announcement. DAVID: Mother, I have something to tell you. JULIE: Thank god! You've finally come to your senses! So do Sami and Lucas. SAMI: We're engaged. But could the DiMeras interfere with their plans? ROLF: The moment is approaching. All this and more next week on THE MELASWEN PARADOX!

Chapter 232 PARK Scotty and David were walking through the park. David is now using crutches, instead of a wheelchair. They stopped at a bench to take a break. SCOTTY: So, how's it feel not to be in that chair anymore? DAVID: Fantastic. It'll be even better when I can finally walk properly again. Scotty nodded. Julie walked up. JULIE: There you two are! I've been looking for you everywhere. When you said you wanted to meet at the Park, I wish you would have been a bit more specific. Do you know how big this park is? DAVID: I've very quickly discovered it, yes. JULIE: So, how is your first day on crutches? DAVID: So far, so good. JULIE: Excellent. I knew you would get better more quickly if you were out here. DAVID: Well, that's actually why I wanted to talk to you. JULIE: David, please, don't tell me that you've decided to go back to Michigan already. DAVID: No, mother. Please, let me finish. I have something to tell you. JULIE: All right, out with it. DAVID: After much consideration, I've decided, I'm going to be making my stay in Salem more permanent. JULIE: Oh thank god! You've finally come to your senses! Julie hugged David. DIMERA MANSION ROLF: I realize that it's taken nearly two and a half years, but his progress these last few weeks has been fairly remarkable. ANDRE: Well, we'll just have to ensure that it stays that way. ROLF: I assure you, André, he is quite stable. The moment is fast approaching. Upstairs, there was a ring at the front door. Harold opened the door. Thomas was on the other side. HAROLD: Can I help you? THOMAS: I need to speak with your master. HAROLD: Who may I ask are you? THOMAS: Just tell him I'm an old friend. HAROLD: One moment, please. In the den, Tony was reading a newspaper when Harold walked in. HAROLD: You have a visitor, sir. TONY: Who is it? HAROLD: I do not know, sir. The man says that he is an old friend. TONY: I don't like the sound of this. Probably somebody thinking they're going to get André instead of me. HAROLD: Shall I send him away, sir? TONY: No, let him in. I'll handle this. HAROLD: Very well, sir. Moments later, Harold returned, followed by Thomas. TONY: That'll do, Harold. Harold bowed, and left the room. Tony looked up from his paper. TONY: So, who do I have the pleasure of addressing today? THOMAS: Thomas Banks. I believe you may know of my sister, Susan. TONY: I know of her, yes. What is this all about? THOMAS: You are Count Antony DiMera, son of Stefano DiMera? TONY: Yes. THOMAS: Then you're exactly who I'm looking for. You will, of course, know of Elvis DiMera, and his untimely death. TONY: I had heard of that, yes. THOMAS: Well, here's the thing, he isn't dead. He is very much alive, and I have a feeling that you may know where he is.

I loved the scene with Julie and David and especially the mention of the park being so large because everyone always says let's meet at the park. Um, where in the park.
I don't think Tony has any idea about EJ being alive, but this could get interesting.

Julie and David cracked me up. I also liked the mention of the park being big. I'm very curious to see where the conversation between Tony and Thomas goes. LOL at Tony assuming Thomas was looking for Andre. Great chapter André DiMera.

You captured Julie's interruptions perfectly. And I'm soooo glad that someone finally mentioned being more specific on what part of the park. It drives me nuts that everyone always knows exactly where to go even tho it's never said.
I have a feeling that Tony will soon learn of Andre's shenanigans. Can't wait to see how this plays out!

Chapter 233 DIMERA MANSION TONY: I'm sorry, but I do believe that you are mistaken. I haven't seen Elvis since the afternoon of my accident on the Salem Pier, which was now nearly eight years ago. THOMAS: Why don't I believe you? TONY: You can believe whatever you want. The fact is, I have no idea where Elvis is. I didn't even know he was alive until you brought it up to me. THOMAS: Why did you visit my sister a few years ago, then? TONY: Excuse me? THOMAS: A few years ago, my sister, Susan, paid me a visit. She said that she had had a visit from a Count Antony DiMera who had told her her son, who had recently died, was alive. TONY: I was on a deserted island at that time. Even if I knew anything about Elvis, I couldn't have contacted anybody. THOMAS: Susan was certain that it was you. The description matches perfectly. TONY: Susan is wrong! The only way she could have the perfect description of me around that time would be if... Tony thought for a moment. THOMAS: Would be if what? TONY: André. THOMAS: Who's André. TONY: My identical cousin, or brother, it depends on the day. Years ago, Stefano had André get plastic surgery so that he could look exactly like me and steal my life, which he has done successfully many times over the last thirty plus years. THOMAS: If that were true, then how do I know that I'm not talking to this André character right now. TONY: Because if you were, you'd be dead. Or at the very least, kidnapped and brainwashed. André will do anything to keep his plans secret. He's a complete psychopath. THOMAS: And if I were to go looking for this André, where would I find him? TONY: That's an excellent question, as I'm looking for him, also. He and I have unfinished business. THOMAS: What do you say we come to an arrangement, then? TONY: What sort of arrangement were you thinking? THOMAS: I'll find this André person for you and bring him to you. TONY: And in exchange? THOMAS: You find Elvis for me, and give him to be so I can take him to Susan. TONY: All right. Tony and Thomas shook hands. THOMAS: You'll be hearing from me. Thomas turned and left. Anna, who had been in the other room, walked in. ANNA: Tony, darling, please tell me I did not just hear what I think I did. TONY: You did. ANNA: Why would you do that? Why would you go looking for E.J. again after all this time? And do you honestly trust this Thomas Banks character? TONY: Of course I don't. I've dealt with his type in business before. Everything you saw there was stricly a farce. As much as I do care about Elvis, him being one of the few halfway decent members of my family, I don't even believe that he's alive. But, when the time comes, I will deal with Thomas Banks.

LOL at "cousin or brother, depends on the day." I'm glad Tony is shrewd enough to put on a good show for Thomas. I wonder what his plan for Thomas is and how he will react when he discovers EJ IS alive. I also am not convinced Thomas doesn't know exactly who Andre is and wasn't testing to see which one he was talking to. Great chapter André DiMera.

Chapter 234 RENDEZVOUS HOTEL MELBOURNE – AUSTRALIA Ciara, Claire and Trix were sharing a room. Claire and Trix were sitting in there. Ciara walked in. CIARA: Hey. TRIX: Hey. CLAIRE: How's Theo? CIARA: He's good. Here you go. Ciara and Claire had agreed to go in together on an international phone to cut down on roaming charges. They'd each pay half of the money when the bill came. Ciara handed the phone to Claire. CLAIRE: Thanks. Claire went outside. TRIX: So, you talk to this Theo a lot. CIARA: I suppose I do, yeah. TRIX: I don't mean to sound forward, but is he... CIARA: Is he what? TRIX: You know. Are you guys dating? CIARA: Me and Theo? No. No, we're just good friends. TRIX: Oh, okay. CIARA: We've known each other since before we could walk or talk. I mean, yeah, Theo's my best guy friend, but I don't think about him that way. TRIX: Gotcha. CIARA: So what about you? Any guys in your life? TRIX: No, I'm not into that. Plus, I'm way too busy trying to keep track of my mum. Maybe somebody will come along now that I'm staying in Salem, though. CIARA: Yeah, maybe. SAMI & LUCAS' APARTMENT Allie and Sydney were getting ready for the day in their room. SYDNEY: So, when was it? ALLIE: It was the other night, when you were staying with grandma at the Penthouse. SYDNEY: And you didn't think to tell me this until now? ALLIE: Believe me, I wanted to. But I wanted to see the look on your face when you found out. SYDNEY: I'm kinda glad you did, honestly. I'm so excited! I love your dad. I mean, he's practically like my own dad, really. ALLIE: I figured you'd be happy. SYDNEY: Yeah. The only one who's not gonna be is Johnny. ALLIE: Grandma Kate, too. But, who cares. As long as mom and dad are happy, and we're all still a family, that's what counts. SYDNEY: Good point. Allie and Sydney got their shoes on and went out into the living room. ALLIE: Mom, is it okay if Sydney and I go to Salem Place? SAMI: Sure, honey. Just be home by 3:30. We're going to dinner with your grandma and John tonight. ALLIE: Are you gonna tell them tonight? SAMI: That's the plan. ALLIE: Awesome! Allie and Sami hugged, then Sami hugged Sydney. SAMI: Have fun. SYDNEY: Thanks. ALLIE: Bye, mom. SAMI: Bye, girls. DIMERA MANSION ANNA: Well, I'm glad to hear that you aren't actually falling for this. TONY: Of course not, my dear. But I do wish to find out exactly what Thomas Banks is up to. A lot of what he says doesn't sit right with me. Even if Elvis were alive, why wouldn't he have shown himself sooner? Meanwhile, in the basement, Rolf and André were still working. A machine beeped. ROLF: It is finished. ANDRE: So, he's ready, then? Rolf nodded. ROLF: Ready and waiting. ANDRE: Well, then, let's wake him up.

I am so curious about Trix. There's more to her than she's letting on. I'm sure of it. Loved Allie and Sydney! I'm glad everyone is excited about the remarriage. Ooh... Wonder what will happen once EJ is resurrected. Great chapter André DiMera.

Chapter 235 AYERS ROCK/ULURU – AUSTRALIA A day later, the group had made it to their next port of call, Uluru, which was in the southern parts of an Australian state known as the Northern Territory. They were in the heart of the Outback. Though Uluru was the name of the general area, it was also the name of a large sandstone rock formation. JOEY: So, why exactly are we here, again? Mr. Canning had taken the group to see the rock formation. CANNING: You signed up for a hike, mate. This is it. The group were walking around the sandstone formation. CANNING: You see those cuttings in the sandstone? There's loads of Aboriginal legends about how those rocks came to be. Most of them have to do with Aboriginal gods. As the group went on, they got back to the bus that would take them back to the hotel. CANNING: Right, so now it's time for you all to make a decision. I plan to stay and watch the sunset off the Rock. I gotta say, it is one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen. If you want to, you're welcome to. If not, the bus'll take you back to the hotel. CIARA: You're staying, right? CLAIRE: Totally! CHASE: Yeah, I wanna see what this looks like. CLAIRE: If it's half as beautiful as Mr. Canning makes it out to be, it'll be beautiful. TRIX: My mum says she's seen it. I never got to, though. I've heard it's gorgeous, so I'm definitely staying. NOELLE: As am I. Ciara rolled her eyes. CIARA: Great. BRADY PUB Sami, Lucas, Will, Sonny, Johnny, Allie and Sydney were all sitting at a table with John, Marlena and Roman. They had gotten three tables and put them together. WILL: So, you said you had some kind of announcement to make, mom? SAMI: I do, yes. A few of you already know what it is. Sami looked at Allie. ALLIE: Hey, I can't help that it happened just as I was coming out of my room. SAMI: No, I know, honey. Actually, I'm glad you know. And I want the rest of you to know, because this affects all of us. ROMAN: What's going on, Sami? SAMI: I'm not in any trouble, if that's what you mean. ROMAN: The thought hadn't crossed my mind. MARLENA: I believe your father was just wondering what this big announcement you had was. SAMI: Right, of course. Well, actually, this announcement is from both myself and Lucas. Sami and Lucas took each other's hand. SAMI: We're engaged. MARLENA: Honey, that is wonderful! SONNY: Congratulations! ALLIE: This is so cool! WILL: Awesome! JOHNNY: What? JOHN: Congrats you two. ROMAN: Well, that is the best news I've hard all week. JOHNNY: Seriously? SAMI: Thank you. LUCAS: We're both really excited. SYDNEY: So, when was this? LUCAS: It happened a few days ago. As the commotion died down, they heard clapping from behind. They turned to see André standing at the door. ANDRE: Well, it seems congratulations are in order.
