Tuesday - 11/19 ALAMAIN INDUSTRIES Nicholas looked up as Philip and Shane walked in. Ivan was already there, sitting across the desk from Nicholas. NICHOLAS: Philip. PHILIP: Nicholas. NICHOLAS: And…I believe it’s Shane Donovan, yes? SHANE: That’s right. Philip here tells me there’s something you’ve found out that would be of interest to the ISA. As I’m their director, and in town for a period, I figured I would come along. NICHOLAS: Very well. Anyway, it’s not me who has the information. Ivan stood. IVAN: That would be me. Shane raised an eyebrow. SHANE: Ivan Marais, we meet again. IVAN: Indeed. Only this time, I am trying to help you. SHANE: I should certainly hope that that’s the truth. PHILIP: Can we cut to the chase here? What did you find out about Melanie? IVAN: Take a seat, please. Nicholas gestured to two chairs that he had had Ivan bring in when he arrived earlier. Ivan, Philip and Shane sat down. IVAN: I got the full story from Megan Hathaway herself. SHANE: Megan Hathaway. PHILIP: That crazy lady who held my brother Bo hostage for years and made us think he was dead? IVAN: That is correct. SHANE: How did you obtain this information? I very much doubt our friend Miss Hathaway divulged it willingly. IVAN: Oh, she was very willing, but she did not know that it was me that she was telling. She believed that it was André DiMera’s minion, Bart Beiderbecke, that she was confiding in. PHILIP: No offense, Ivan, but you’re a little too tall to believably pose as Bart. Ivan chuckled. IVAN: I had no need to play dress up… PARK - FLASHBACK
Earlier that day, Bart was making his way back to the DiMera Mansion. Someone (Ivan) brushed up against him.
BART: Hey, pal, watch where you’re going!
Bart turned to confront Ivan, but was surprised to find that he was gone.
BART: Huh, weird. I wonder where that guy disappeared to. Oh, well. Speaking of disappearances, I gotta ask the Bossman about what happened when he made Melanie Kiriakis temporarily disappear.
Bart walked on. Ivan, meanwhile, had merely turned the corner, and pulled out his phone. ALAMAIN INDUSTRIES IVAN: I implanted a high-tech, untraceable listening device on Mr. Beiderbecke when I bumped up against him. The technology was developed by Madame’s scientist, Dr. Vincent Belman. From the moment I bumped into him, I was able to hear every conversation he had. PHILIP: Along with a lot of useless babbling, I’m sure. SHANE: And what did his conversations reveal? Ivan pulled out his phone, opened an app, and pressed play. DIMERA MANSION - FLASHBACK
Bart knelt down and kissed Megan’s hand.
BART: Miss Hathaway.
André rolled his eyes.
ANDRE: Get off of the floor, Bart.
Bart stood up.
BART: So…ma’am, what did you do to Melanie Kiriakis?
ANDRE: Yes, I’d be interested to know that, as well, dear Megan.
Megan smiled darkly.
MEGAN: Well actually, it was one of your ideas, dear André, that inspired me.
ANDRE: Is that so?
MEGAN: Indeed. You see, I have been reading through some of Dr. Rolf’s old files, as I know you have, and it got me thinking. I thought to myself, what would be the best way to get revenge on Philip for getting Elvis sent out of the country and put behind bars? Then I came across the file on Melanie Kiriakis. I read how you, André, once kidnapped Melanie and brainwashed her into believing that she was your daughter.
ANDRE: Indeed I did.
MEGAN: Unfortunately, she was found out and “rescued” by Philip before she could carry out much of the plan. But I figured, what if we could get her back, and have revenge on Philip for our brother? That anonymous message you got, Bart, instructing you to kidnap Melanie and bring her to the mansion, that was from me.
BART: Wowzers. Ma’am, if I may, that was a brilliant idea.
MEGAN: Thank you, it rather was, wasn’t it? Anyway, once Bart here dropped her off in the lab, I had Dr. Rolf examine her. He determined that the alternate personality that you had created, the one who believed she was your daughter, dear André, had the possibility of being brought back. Rolf was able to do just that, and then it was time to return her. Of course, I couldn’t return her entirely in one piece, so I had Rolf stab her three times, but make sure that it wouldn’t be anything lethal. Then, I had him hide Melanie in Stephanie Johnson’s closet.
BART: Brilliant, ma’am! Brilliant! Just one teeny-tiny little question.
MEGAN: What’s that?
BART: Why Stephanie Johnson? |

Why set up Stephanie? Megan doesn't even know Stephanie but she does know Steve because of Bo and Stephanie I'm sure is just a means to an end...but Megan probably found out about Melanie & Stephanie's history and how it all ties back to Philip and used it against Stephanie but also against Melanie & Philip here with this stabbing and brainwashing
But even though they know it was the DiMeras who kidnapped Melanie and brainwashed her, what can the ISA do about it?
Besides can't the ISA always lock up Andre again and put him back in that super max prison he was in? Hell they can lock up Megan too
