Hi everyone. Sins of the Fathers will begin tomorrow. It's a serio-comic ensemble story. The chapters will be short and done in script style. There's a special introduction by Molly and Dorkay. If you don't know Molly and Dorkay, cllck here for an explanation of who they are. Meanwhile, here's an excerpt from tomorrow's prologue to whet your appetite. ~~~~~~~ PROLOGUE NBC OfficesDorkay: Hmmm. Fathers of Salem. What kind of story is that? Molly: Well, Dick, I think the title is self-explanatory. It’s about the fathers of Salem and their children. Dorkay: No no no. That’s boring. Molly: Oh but it’s not! It’s super-interesting, plus it’s fun. There’s a lot of humor in it. Dorkay: I hate humor. Molly: I know you do, Dick. But humor is just part of it. It has some really serious themes. Dorkay: Like what?

Dorkay: Hmmm. Fathers of Salem. What kind of story is that? Molly: Well, Dick, I think the title is self-explanatory. It’s about the fathers of Salem and their children. Dorkay: No no no. It has some really serious themes. Dorkay: Like what? Molly: Well, we’ll give Teresa a backstory. She’ll share scenes with Shane. Dorkay: Shane! I always liked Shane. Molly: And Bo. He’ll be back to deal with Ciara and Hope. Dorkay: Bo? Really? Molly: Yes. And we’ll have Hope and her father, and a cameo of Sami and her father. We have tons of other cameos and surprises, but the best part is we’ll unravel Clyde and Jordan’s secrets. Dorkay: That’s the best part??? No no no. That’s just wrong, Molly girl. I want to milk that for another four years. Molly: Well, I suppose we could drag it out for just a little while longer, but not for four years. Dorkay: Why not? Molly: Um. Because you never know what will happen in four years. We might have a new president by then. Dorkay: President of the United States? Molly: Yes, and president of NBC too. Dorkay: Hmmm. What about Daniel? Molly: What do you mean what about Daniel? Don't tell me he's running for President! Dorkay: You didn’t mention his part in the story. Molly: Oh. That’s because he’s not in this story. Dorkay: WHAT??? Molly: Um. He's not in this story. Dorkay: But but but … he’s a father! Molly: True, but not every story has to include Daniel. Dorkay folds his arms and stares Molly down. Molly: Okay okay okay, we’ll throw him in. Just a little. So, what do you think? Dorkay: Fine fine fine. But I have one small change. Molly: What is it? Dorkay: The title. I don’t like the title. Molly: That’s not a small change, Dick. Dorkay: “Fathers of Salem” is not dramatic enough. Change it to “Sins of the Fathers” and we have a deal. Molly: Yay!______________________________________ Copyright ©2014 kpatch. All rights reserved.

Have I mentioned before that I LOVE Molly and Dorkay? They are hilarious together! I really can't wait for this story, especially to see what kind of backstory you give Theresa! I, too, loved Molly's comment that Dr. Dan doesn't have to be in every story! This is gonna be awesome! Great job so far, Kpatch!

The story is off to a fun start. I like Dorkay's annoyance at Daniel not being in the story.

Chapter 1
Salem Personnel Agency
Abigail signs in at the front desk, picks up a clipboard with an application and finds a seat in the waiting room. The waiting room is filled with lots of applicants, which disheartens Abigail, but she quickly tells herself that she’s better than anyone else in the room, and turns her attention to the application form.
Within a minute, another young woman takes a seat beside her. Abigail looks up.
Abigail: Oh no, not you. What are you doing here? Teresa: Same as you, Abs, only better. Abigail: What the hell does that mean? Teresa: It means save your ink. You’re woefully under-qualified. Abigail: For what? You don’t even know which job I’m applying for. Teresa: You’re unqualified for all of them. Let me ask you this, Abs, you know, as a friend. How are you explaining being fired from the hospital for screwing a board member? Is there a check-box on the application for that? Abigail: Wow, great question, Ters. And here I’m wondering how YOU explain being fired on account of slashing your lover’s father with a fireplace poker. Bet that limits your job options by oh, let’s see, a hundred percent. Teresa: Nice comeback Abs. I’m impressed. Say, maybe you’ll be lucky and the recruiter will be a married guy ‘cause of how much you like married men. You can spread your … ahem … cheer all over him. Abigail: Speaking of cheer, Ters, Christmas is coming. I hear they’re looking for some Santa’s helpers at Ballistix. You’d look real cute as an elf. Teresa: Thanks bitch, but I’m not looking for a temporary job. Unlike you, who has a short attention span, I’m looking for a career. Abigail: A career! Ha! So bitch, tell me, what name do you put on your job application? Teresa or Jeannie or Bitch or some other alias?
In the clearing near the bench near the Square
Clyde: Well well well. How are you Tammy Sue. Jordan (squints at Clyde): Why don’t you go back in that hole you climbed out of. Or better yet, go back to Popular Bluffs. Clyde: You mean Poplar. Jordan: That’s what I said. Clyde: No, you said Popular. Jordan: Did not. Clyde: Did too. Jordan: Did not. Clyde: Did too. Jordan: Did not. Clyde: Did too.
