Chapter 4
In the clearing near the bench near the Square, toward nightfall
Clyde: Did too.
Jordan: Did not.
Clyde: Did too.
Clyde: Poplar, Popular, either one it doesn’t matter. Believe you me, I’m not goin’ back to the Ozarks any time soon, Tammy Sue. Now that the Dimeras have been overthrown, I’m taking over their territory. Here’s to the next 30 years!
Jordan: You mean….
Clyde: Yes I do.
That Night, Outside Hope’s House
Hope and Aiden are locked in a kiss under the porch light.
Hope: Thanks for dinner, Aiden.
Aiden: How about inviting me in for dessert?
Hope: Um. Next time.
Aiden: That’s what you said last time.
Hope: I need to pay the babysitter and drive her home.
Aiden: I thought you said Ciara is at Caroline’s.
Hope: Did I?
Aiden: Look, Hope, I know how you feel. It’s been a long time for me too, but … I won’t lie. I want you.
Hope: I feel the same. I mean, it’s scary. I haven’t been with anyone but Bo my whole life. Well, except for John. And maybe Stefano. And Patrick Lockhart. And who knows who knows who else while I was Nighttime Hope. But, I want you too.
Aiden smiles and takes Hope’s hand — the hand holding her house keys. She slips the keys into his palm and he unlocks the door.
The Square
Abigail is walking through the square when she gets a call on her cell. She smiles when she sees the display.
Abigail: Hi handsome.
Ben: Hey Abby. Wanna come by for breakfast in the morning?
Abigail: It’s Abigail, not Abby. And I can’t. I have to pick up some guy in a red hat from the airport.
Ben: Cool. Maybe you can come by for breakfast before you leave for the airport.
Abigail: Okay. Where do you want to meet?
Ben: The picnic bench. Like usual.
Abigail: But it’s winter and it’s freezing.
Ben: I’ve got my love to keep me warm.
Abigail: Aw. Well, when you put it that way … okay.
Ben: Listen, I’m kind of short on cash. Can you pick up breakfast for us?
Abigail: Oh. Um. Sure, I just cashed my unemployment check. I’ll stop by McDonald’s.
Ben: Perfect. Get me three supersize bacon egg and cheese biscuits, three orders of giant hash browns and a biggie strawberry shake.
Abigail: That’s a lot of food.
Ben: You can have a bite.

The next morning, still in the clearing near the bench near the Square
Jordan: You mean…
Clyde: Yes I do. I’m planning to rule Salem for the next 30 years now that Stefano is gone.
Jordan: Oh God.
Clyde: Well, that’s very sweet darlin’ but you don’t have to call me God. You can just call me Daddy.
FroYo Parlor in Horton Square
At a table, Lucas and Allie are enjoying some of Salem’s finest frozen yogurt.
Lucas: I was afraid you’d never want to come back here after seeing Nick Fallon murdered.
Allie (giving Lucas a look): Thanks for reminding me!
Lucas: How’s therapy going?
Allie: It’s fine. But there’s still that one question that nobody can answer, not even the therapist.
Lucas: Allie, I thought we settled that.
Allie: Yeah, something about eggs and bacon.
Lucas: Sperm. Eggs and sperm, not bacon.
Allie: But I still don’t understand how my twin brother can have a different father than me.
Lucas (sighing): Ask your mother.
Allie: She told me to ask you.
Abigail’s car, after picking up the man in the red hat at the airport
The man in the passenger seat is wearing a Red Sox baseball cap, a leather bomber jacket, aviator sunglasses, and a beard.
Abigail: Are you sure I don’t know you?
Man:
Abigail: So you’re not gonna say anything for the whole ride?
Man:
Abigail: Okay fine. I don’t care. I’m perfectly happy just to listen to the sound of my own voice.
Man:
Abigail: I’ll just tell you the story of my life to kill some time. Or maybe you already read it in TruVista.
Man:
Abigail: Then you must be the only person in the Western Hemisphere who doesn’t know I slept with EJ Dimera.
Man: You slept with Junior???
Abigail: Bo? Bo Brady! Is that you???

YEAH Bo is back. Love how he is the ONLY one that calls EJ Junior!!! Can't wait to see what happens when Hope sees 'Brady' for the first time!!!

Awww crap! 30 years of "did not!!!", "Did too!!" ? UGH!! Please tell me you aren't gonna torture us THAT long Kpatch!! Poor Lucas. He's in a no win situation. He could try to explain it to Allie, but anything he says would sound hateful coming from him. Hmmm. Bo's back. Hate that Abigail is the first one to see him. I know this won't be a secret long at all. Oh the fallout that's gonna happen when he learns about Hope & Aiden. |
