For varying reasons in my personal life, today's chapter has been preempted. However, here is a small section of dialogue from next week.

STEPHANIE: Philip, I have no idea hat you're talking about!
PHILIP: What, did someone hit you over the head with a lamp, too?
STEPHANIE: What do you mean?
PHILIP: I'm back, Stephanie. I remember everything.

Oh I loved that clip. I don't remember seeing Philip's birth before. It was fantastic! Ivan was hilarious fainting, and then lying on the bed with Madam after she gave birth. Victor's reaction to seeing his son for the first time, just wonderful. Thanks for that interlude Andre.

Can't wait until Philip lets Stephanie have it!

Because of the lack of a Friday chapter last week, I've decided to post Monday's chapter a day early. Enjoy!

Chapter 10

SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Vivian kissed Philip on the forehead.
VIVIAN: Hello, darling. How are you feeling?
PHILIP: Okay. Still a lot of gaps, but we're working on that.
VIVIAN: Excellent.
PHILIP: Melanie here's been a big help to me.
VIVIAN: Oh. How...lovely.
PHILIP: I'm just a little confused on something: why do I remember having two mothers?
VIVIAN: Oh, details, details. You needn't worry your pretty little head about that right now, darling.
MELANIE: Aw, come on, Vivian. I'm sure Philip would love it if you told him your history of stealing Kate's eggs and implanting them in you.
VIVIAN: Oh, Maleficent, my dear girl. Forgive me for not saying hello earlier, but I was just so distraught over what happened to my dear son Philip that I didn't even see you hiding in that corner.
MELANIE: Well, I've been here the whole time.
Vivian's phone buzzed.
VIVIAN: Oh, do excuse me, darlings. I left Ivan in charge for a day and you know how he worries so.
Vivian left the room.
PHILIP: So, that's why I have two mothers.
MELANIE: Yep.
PHILIP: Hey, can we try something?
MELANIE: Sure. What do you wanna try?
PHILIP: I want you to kiss me. Since we're engaged, maybe feeling the touch of your lips will jog a memory or two.
Melanie laughed.
MELANIE: Okay.
Melanie leaned in, and they kissed. It was as if a switch was turned on. A flood of memories came back to Philip. High school, the army, Chloe, Belle, Morgan, Stephanie, Melanie. Philip sat bolt upright.
PHILIP: I remember.
MELANIE: What? What is it? What do you remember?
PHILIP: Everything. I remember everything.

Glad Philip remembers everything.

LOL at Vivian calling Melanie Maleficent...the witch/dragon in Sleeping Beauty.

Chapter 11

KIRIAKIS MANSION
Soon after Philip's memory returned, he was allowed to go home.
VICTOR: It's good to have you back, son.
PHILIP: Good to be back, dad.
Philip and Victor hugged.
PHILIP: There's just one problem left.
MELANIE: What's the problem?
PHILIP: Stephanie. I need to speak with her.
VICTOR: Well, you'll be able to once she's behind bars. Now that we know the truth, she'll be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
PHILIP: No. Before that. It needs to be before that happens.
Vivian came running downstairs.
VIVIAN: Oh, Philip, when I heard the news that you came home, I was overjoyed! I only wish I could have come to help Merrion and Victor move your stuff.
Philip turned to Victor.
PHILIP: What is she doing here?
VIVIAN: I came to see you, darling. You are my son, after all.
PHILIP: Oh, Vivian! How many times? Look, I have my memory back.
VIVIAN: Why, this is excellent news! Now all we have to do is get rid of that rat, Stephanie.
PHILIP: You knew? You both new it was Stephanie?
VIVIAN: Well, we suspected.
VICTOR: I knew.
PHILIP: Henderson!
Henderson walked into the room.
HENDERSON: Yes, master Philip?
PHILIP: Call Stephanie Johnson, please. Tell her to come as soon as possible.
HENDERSON: Right away, sir. By the way, it's good to have you back.
PHILIP: Good to be back, Henderson. Good to be back.

I hope Philip beckoning Stephanie isn't a mistake.

Why does Philip want to talk to her? What possible good will that do?

Can't wait for the confrontation between Stephanie and Philip's family. This should be good.

André DiMera, you've got Vivian's dialogue downpat. Love it!

Very curious as to why Philip wants to talk to Stephanie before she is prosecuted. I can't help but think there's another twist ahead.

Chapter 12

KIRIAKIS MANSION
Philip was pacing the living room of the mansion. Finally, Stephanie entered the room.
STEPHANIE: I got a call from Henderson. He said I needed to come as soon as possible.
Philip walked up to Stephanie.
STEPHANIE: Philip, you're home.
PHILIP: Certainly looks that way, yes. I've been gone for a while, but now I'm finally back.
STEPHANIE: Well, I'm glad that the doctors decided to release you. So, II assume this is why I was called here by Henderson? Who made he cll? It certainly wasn't Victor.
PHILIP: No, not my father.
STEPHANIE: Then who?
PHILIP: Me. I asked Henderson to call you over here. You see, there's some things that I still find a little strange.
STEPHANIE: Such as?
PHILIP: Well, for one, our living situations.
STEPHANIE: Meaning?
PHILIP: You told me that we were married. And yet, Melanie lives here and you have a room at the Salem Inn.
STEPHANIE: Oh.
PHILIP: Why would you lie to me, Stephanie?
STEPHANIE: I...I don't know what you're talking about.
PHILIP: Oh, come on, Steph! Did someone go crazy and hit you over the head with a lamp, too?
STEPHANIE: What?
PHILIP: Oh, yeah. You didn't think I knew about that, did you? Well, you see, a little while before I was released from the hospital, I got a jolt in my brain. Long story short, I'm back, Steph. I remember everything.

This is great. I love the way Philip is toying with Stephanie. I can visualize the whole interaction. Loving the buildup too!
