Chapter 7 SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL MELANIE: What's going on out here? STEPHANIE: Oh, nothing. Victor and I were just having a normal discussion... VICTOR: Stephanie here has just admitted that she is the one responsible for Philip being in the state he's in. MELANIE: Really? Well, that is interesting. STEPHANIE: No, I didn't. I made an off the cuff remark about it and Victor assumed it meant something. VICTOR: Oh, I don't assume. I know. MELANIE: Look, guys, i gotta get back in there. I'll deal with this later. Melanie walked into the room. VICTOR: Enjoy your last few days as a free woman, Stephanie. Because once Everyone finds out what you did, your life will be a living hell. PIER KATE: Vivian, what are you doing here? VIVIAN: Well, you see, I just had to come. When I heard about what had happened to my poor Philip, I knew that the 20 floral arrangements I sent just wouldn't be enough. I had to come and see him. KATE: All those were from you? VIVIAN: Why of course. Philip is my son afterall. KATE: Vivian, we've been over this before, you are not Philip's mother. You stole my eggs and had them implanted in you. That does not make you his mother. VIVIAN: I'm no less his mother than you are. KATE: Biology and genetics would put up a strong arguement against that, I think. VIVIAN: Whatever. All that matters is that I'm back and I'm here to get Philip better and take down the woman who did this to him. KATE: Or man. We don't know who it was. VIVIAN: Oh, I do. I have informants ll over the world, one who follows Philip on a regular basis and tells me everything he's been doing. I know exactly who did this to Philip. SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL Melanie walked into the room. PHILIP: You and I got engaged. We were a little younger back then, but we got engaged. MELANIE: You remember that? PHILIP: It's the only thing I do remember. I need to ask you something. MELANIE: Okay. PHILIP: I trust you. I trust you more than anyone else right now. Maybe it's because you're the first person I saw, or because the first memory I got was of us. I don't know why, but I feel this pull towards you, like you can help me get my memory back. MELANIE: I will. I'll do anything for you. PHILIP: Thank you. I need to ask you a question. Stephanie was saying some weird things earlier today. Things that don't quite add up. Are we...are Stephanie and I married? |

Chapter 8 PIER KATE: Well, this should be good. Tell me, Vivian, who is it that you think did this to Philip? VIVIAN: Oh, I don't just think, I know who it was. It was Stephanie Johnson. KATE: How... VIVIAN: Again, informants. My guy traced Philip to Salem Inn, where Stephanie is staying. Apparently the two were having a disagreement. Next thing he knows, there's a crash and Philip is taken to the hospital. KATE: This is perfect. But, wait, why are you telling me all this? VIVIAN: Because now you owe me a favor. You're going to help me get rid of Stephanie. It's been a while since I bought a coffin. KATE: Again with the coffins, Vivian? VIVIAN: Hey, if it ain't broke... KATE: Oh, Vivian, get in line. When word of this gets out, a lot of people will want revenge on Stephanie. You, me, Melanie, Victor. Ooh, just wait until Victor finds out he was right! SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL Melanie chuckled slightly. MELANIE: What? PHILIP: Are Stephanie and I married? MELANIE: No, you definitely aren't. Why? Who told you that? PHILIP: Stephanie did. She didn't want to go into details and was evasive when I asked where our rings were. So, are you and I married? MELANIE: We were. But things didn't go as planned. You slept with a girl named Chloe one night. PHILIP: That was horrible of me! I can't believe I did that! MELANIE: That's okay. I'm not innocent either. I started having feelings for this guy named Nathan. Then Chloe had a baby that was yours, but she hid it from you and pretended it was my dad's, because she was married to my dad at the time. We kinda fell apart and then you left Salem when you found out the baby was yours. PHILIP: So, I'm a jerk is what you're saying. MELANIE: No, I'm not saying that at all. You've hust made some mistakes. But then, who hasn't? You're amazing, by the way. The most amazing man in the world! PHILIP: So, how did I end up back in Salem? MELANIE: Well, a little after you left, I left to be with my mother, who was having some issues. You and I met up one night in Chicago. We talked over everything that happened. And, it took a while, but we decided to try and make things work. Then, we moved back to Salem together and here we are. So, to answer your earlier question, no, we're not married. Yet. Melanie showed Philip her hand, which has a ring on it. MELANIE: But we are engaged. |

LOL at the floral arrangements and the coffin. Gotta love Vivian.
I wonder if Philip will believe Melanie. At least she has a ring to prove it. Loved the synopsis of the last two years, Andre.

Chapter 9 SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL PHILIP: That's the ring I bought you? MELANIE: It certainly is. PHILIP: It's beautiful. MELANIE: And this... Melanie went over to the closet by the door. She opened it and pulled out a small Ziploc bag. Opening the bag, she pulled out a silver band. MELANIE: This is your ring. PHILIP: Wow. So, the memory that I got earlier, was that this engagement or the first one? MELANIE: Do you remember where we were? PHILIP: Some kind of hotel, or maybe it was a cabin. And I had you blindfolded at first. MELANIE: First time, then. PHILIP: Oh. Just then, it happened. Another memory. This time, however, it was a little fuzzy: PHILIP: I just remembered something else. MELANIE: What? PHILIP: A hospital room. My father, he's younger than he is now. And my mother as well. And there's another woman, one with curly hair who's giving birth to a baby. MELANIE: Where are you in all this? PHILIP: I don't know. I think I'm the baby. But the woman who gave birth in this memory does not look like my mother. MELANIE: Oh, right. Nobody told you about Vivian yet. PHILIP: Who's Vivian? The door opens and Vivian walks in. VIVIAN: Oh hello, my darling! It is so good to see you again! Vivian plants a kiss on Philip's cheek. MELANIE: Philip, this is Vivian. |
