Chapter 4 SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL PHILIP: My wife? STEPHANIE: Yes, Philip. I'm your wife. PHILIP: When did we get married? STEPHANIE: A few months ago. You got tired of Melanie always hanging around. You married me to try and discourage her. But, Melanie sure is persistent. PHILIP: But, Melanie seems nice. STEPHANIE: Oh, she is. At first. But she gets annoying really quick. And then, after a while, you start to see what type of girl she really is. And she's nothing but trouble. She'd probably even use a situation like this to gain an advantage by claiming that you and her are dating. PHILIP: Wow. That's crazy. STEPHANIE: Yeah, it is. But I would never do that to you, Philip. You can trust me. I love you. And I'd never do anything to hurt you. Stephanie and Philip kissed. PHILIP: Wait, I'm still confused about something. Well, a lot of things, actually. But, there's one major thing I'm confused about. STEPHANIE: Okay. What's up? PHILIP: The ceiling, but that's not important right now. What is important is the question I want to ask you. STEPHANIE: Okay. What question do you want to ask? PHILIP: If we're married, how come you're not wearing a ring? STEPHANIE: Well, your ring they took off when you were rushed to the hospital. As for my ring, I took it off because... Victor walked in. VICTOR: How are you, son? Philip stared at Victor. STEPHANIE: He means you. Philip, this is your father, Victor Kiriakis. PHILIP: Hi. VICTOR: Why are you having to explain this to him? PHILIP: I have amnesia. Or, at least, I think I do. I can't really remember. Victor turned to Stephanie. VICTOR: I need to speak with you outside for a moment. Victor and Stephanie went into the hallway. VICTOR: What the hell have you done to my son? |

It was less obvious that Bill Clinton slept with Monica Lewinsky than it is that you did this to Philip. STEPHANIE: Victor, I swear, I had nothing to do with what happened to Philip! VICTOR: It's always the face that gives it away. STEPHANIE: What? VICTOR: The mouth can say whatever it wants to, but the face never lies. And your face, Stephanie, is making you look guilty as sin. It's rather funny that all of this happened while Philip was with you. In your hotel room. But you did nothing to help, nothing to try and stop it. That is why I am sure that you did it. SALEM INN - FLASHBACK
STEPHANIE: If I can't have you...
Stephanie hits Philip over the head with a lamp.
STEPHANIE: ...then neither should she.SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL VICTOR: Rest assured Stephanie, if I do find out you've had anything to do with this, I'll kill you. STEPHANIE: You'll have to stand in line, then. Melanie says she will, too. VICTOR: Ha! Even better. She won't do a proper job, so I'll be able to finish what she started. It'll be like tag team. Victor turned away, but then turned back. VICTOR: Wait a moment, was that an admission of guilt I heard? PIER Kate was standing on the Pier, talking on her cell phone. KATE: Yes. Pause. KATE: Yes, that is exactly what I want. You are going to find out who did this to my son and that person will be brought to justice. |

Chapter 6 SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL VICTOR: It was, wasn't it? You just admitted to it. You just admitted to putting Philip into the coma the led him to waking up in this state. STEPHANIE: No, I didn't! VICTOR: You certainly did. STEPHANIE: No, you misunderstood me. What I said was that if I did do this to Philip, which I'm not saying I did, then you would have to wait in line to kill me, because Melanie will want to as well. I never said I did this to Philip. VICTOR: But you did. I can tell. I can tell by the look in your eyes that the guilty party is you. Melanie walked up. MELANIE: What's going on here? In his hospital bed, Philip was thinking. He was thinking about Melanie and what Stephanie had said earlier. Then, like a flash of light, it hit him. His first real memory. (watch from 2:12 to end to see what it is: ) Philip sat up. PHILIP: Whoa! What the heck was that? Philip looked around the room. He saw that the door was closed and nobody else was there with him at the moment. But he needed to talk to both Melanie and Stephanie as soon as he could. PHILIP: I proposed to Melanie. But when? And why would I remember that first if I married Steph more recently? THE PIER Kate was still talking on her cell phone. KATE: No, I don't care how you find it. Pause. KATE: Look, all I want to know is who did this to my son. Pause. KATE: Yes, by any means necessary. Pause. KATE: Thank you. Kate hung up. She was then tapped on the shoulder and turned around to see Vivian Alamain. KATE: What the...? VIVIAN: Surprise! |
