Chapter 1

SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
There had not been much progress in the intervening weeks since we last saw Philip, Melanie, and Stephanie. Philip was still in a coma. Melanie would sit by his bedside and refused to go anywhere. Stephanie would drop in from time to time, to see how things were going. Though Melanie didn't have any proof, she was sure that Stephanie was the reason Philip was in a coma. Meanwhile, Stephanie was feeling horrible. It really was her fault that Philip was in a coma.

SALEM INN - FLASHBACK
Stephanie was pacing around her hotel room. She went into her purse, took out a handful of pills and swallowed them. There was a knock at the door. Stephanie opened the door and Philip burst in.
PHILIP: Why did you do that?
STEPHANIE: Why did I do what?
PHILIP: Why did you call a male stripper and tell him that I ordered him?
STEPHANIE: You really wanna know why?
PHILIP: Yeah, I really do.
STEPHANIE: Because I love you. I did it because I hoped Melanie would answer the door, fall in love with the stripper on sight, and leave you free to be with me. I'm the woman you really deserve, Philip. I want you. I need you.
PHILIP: Steph, I'm sorry. What we had was nice. But, I'm with Melanie now. It's time to move on.
STEPHANIE: Oh, I understand. But just know, if I can't have you...
Stephanie grabbed a nearby lamp and hit Philip over the head with it, knocking him out.
STEPHANIE: Then neither should she.

SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
But, she couldn't let Melanie find that out. If she did, well, what would happen then? Inside the room, Melanie was holding Philip's hand. Slowly, A machine began to beep and Philip's eyes opened.
MELANIE: Philip! You're awake!
PHILIP (confused): Philip? That's my name, right?
MELANIE: Of course it is. What are you talking about?
PHILIP (confused): Where am I? What is this place? Who are you?

Chapter 2

SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
PHILIP (confused): Where am I? What is this place? Who are you?
MELANIE: You're in the hospital. You got hit on the head, we don't know how or by who. But, the doctors did say that you suffered some brain damage.
PHILIP: Who are you?
MELANIE: Philip, it's me. It's Melanie.
PHILIP: Melanie?
Philip looked confused.
PHILIP: I'm sorry, but I don't remember you.
MELANIE: You don't?
PHILIP: No.
MELANIE: Um...well...gee...do you remember anything?
PHILIP: No. Nothing at all. You say my name is Philip, but I don't remember that, either. You seem nice, though, so I believe you.
MELANIE: I'm just glad you made it. You lost a lot of blood.
PHILIP: Well, I'm glad I made it, too. Melanie, was I someone special to you?
MELANIE: Yes. Someone very special...
Stephanie walked in.
STEPHANIE: Hey, I came to see how Philip was and...oh my gosh! Philip! You're awake!
PHILIP: I guess I am, yeah. Who are you?
STEPHANIE: Philip, what are you talking about? You know who I am.
MELANIE: Actually he does't, Steph. Philip, this is Stephanie.
PHILIP: Hi.
STEPHANIE: Hi. Um, why doesn't he remember me?
MELANIE: He has amnesia. He doesn't remember us or this hospital or even his own name.
STEPHANIE (to herself): Amnesia? Oh, god, what have I done?

Why do I have a feeling Stephanie is going to use this to her advantage.

Chapter 3

SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
STEPHANIE (to herself): Amnesia? Oh god, what have I done?
MELANIE: What was that, Steph?
STEPHANIE: What?
MELANIE: You said something just now. What did you say?
STEPHANIE: I said "amnesia? Oh god, how horrible".
MELANIE: Hm.
STEPHANIE: Does anyone else know that he's awake?
MELANIE: I called a nurse just before you got here. I should go see what's taking them so long.
Melanie walked out.
PHILIP: So, Melanie said that she's someone special to me. Who is she?
Stephanie thought for a moment. She had a clear choice between right or wrong. Which do you think she chose?
STEPHANIE: Well, actually, she should have used the past tense. She was someone special to you.
PHILIP: I'll ask again, who is she?
STEPHANIE: An old girlfriend. You dated her for a few years, but she dumped you and left Salem.
PHILIP: If she dumped me, why was she the first person I saw when I woke up?
STEPHANIE: She came back to Salem and tried to win you back. Thankfully, she hasn't succeeded.
PHILIP: So, am I with anyone currently?
STEPHANIE: Yep.
PHILIP: Who am I with?
STEPHANIE: You, my dear Philip, are with me.
PHILIP: So, you're my girlfriend now?
STEPHANIE: You really don't remember at all, do you?
PHILIP: Nope, sorry.
STEPHANIE: Philip, I'm your wife.

Shame on you Stephanie! Couldn't at least said girlfriend? I sure hope you have a wedding picture and a ring to help prove your point. Wait until Melanie finds out what you told Philip!

I am not surprised that Stephanie would pull something like this. Just wait until Philip tells Melanie that he's into Steph. Mel is going to put 2 + 2 together pretty quickly.
