DIMERA MANSION FRONT DOOR
Harold opens the front door.
Visitor: Is Kate Roberts here?
Harold: Who shall I say is calling on her?
Visitor: Her son.
Harold: Very good sir. Please wait in the foyay while I let Mrs. DiMera know you’re here.
A few minutes later, Kate appears.
Visitor: Hi Mom.
Kate: Lucas! I am so happy to see you, sweetie. She gives him a big hug. Thank you for coming so quickly.
Lucas: Well you said on the phone that it’s important. What’s up?
Kate: It’s your sister.
Lucas: Billie?
Kate: No.
Lucas: Cassie?
Kate: No.
Lucas: Jennifer?
Kate: She’s dating Daniel.
Lucas: What???
JENNIFER’S OFFICE
Abigail: Hi Mom.
Jennifer: Abigail. Don’t you have school?
Abigail: Professor didn’t show up so I have a free period.
Jennifer: What time did you get home last night? I didn’t hear you come in.
Abigail: I guess I lost track of time. I was studying with a friend.
Jennifer: Oh? Was this friend male, 6 foot 6, and cute?
Abigail: Yes. But that’s not why I stayed out so late. I figured you’d want to be alone with Dr. Hottie.
Jennifer: We were anything but alone.
Abigail: What do you mean?
Jennifer: Your grandfather decided to surprise me.
Abigail: Uh oh. What happened?
Jennifer: He behaved like a jerk.
Abigail: Who? Grampa or Daniel?
Jennifer: Your grandfather.
SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Melanie: Hi Dad.
Daniel: Hi kitten. Say, what time do you get off work today?
Melanie: Who knows. I’m covering for Maxine. It’s her day off. Why? Did you want to have dinner or something?
Daniel: Actually, I have a date tonight and I was wondering if you could make yourself scarce.
Melanie: A hot date, huh? With Miss Jennifer?
Daniel: Yes.
Melanie: I’ll tell you what. I’ll make alternate arrangements for tonight, but you have to be prepared to return the favor some time in the future.
Daniel: Hmm, that might be tough. I’m your father, and fathers don’t like to make it easy for guys to ... um ... date their daughters.
Melanie: I wonder what Jennifer’s father thinks about that. Oh! Speaking of Jennifer’s father, have you met him? He’s the new chief of staff. And he’s a real fox.

I love that Melanie thinks Bill is a fox. That girl has great taste (Dimbulb being the exception).

Wow Lucas is back. Oh boy my favorites are retuning. Bill and now Lucas. LOL at Lucas guessing which sister was in trouble. Will be great to see Bill and Lucas together to try and get Jen away from Daniel. Thanks for the chapter. Glad you are posting on the holiday Monday.

^^Had to check my calendar on that one, but yes, Monday is a Holiday for Canada - Victoria Day. Our holiday in the US is the next Monday. Whew!! Thought I had missed a week in there when I read that  Great story jkjpatch!!!! |

I love the fox reference. And, am intrigued that Kate would bring Lucas back. Would it be for revenge on Daniel? Or has Jennifer done something we don't know about. Or did she just want some excuse to see Bill again.  And, I couldn't help thinking if in the scene with Jenn/Abby, we were going to get another Midol commercial, LOL |
