Chapter 31 PENTHOUSE Sydney, John, and Ceri had moved their conversation to the Penthouse. JOHN: So, let me get this straight, E.J. isn't dead. SYDNEY: That's right. Though, I'm not quite sure how. He was shot five time directly in the heart. It should have killed him. JOHN: Yeah, but he's a DiMera. The DiMera family never really dies. SYDNEY: So, what now? JOHN: Well, now we should tell your mother and Lucas. SYDNEY: No! Please, don't tell my mom! You can tell Lucas, but not my mom. JOHN: Don't you think she should know? SYDNEY: No! JOHN: Sydney, why don't you want me to tell your mother. SYDNEY: Because, if you do, she'll leave Lucas and go back to him and he'll hurt her again. She always switches between Lucas and daddy. JOHN: Syd, that's not gonna happen. SYDNEY: Yes, it is! The minute she knows that daddy's back, she's gonna start scheming to try and get him back just like he always does. Maybe not at first, but soon enough, she will. JOHN: Sweetheart, I understand what you're saying. But, I don't think that's what's gonna happen. SYDNEY: Why not? JOHN: Because of everything E.J. did to her and you kids. Not only did he hurt Sami, but he hurt you. Sami spent five years in prison for what looked like his murder. I promise, she won't go back to him. She's too angry to. Plus, she loves you so much, and she knows that seeing them together would hurt you. And she would never try to hurt you. So, trust me, sweetie, your mother's never going back to E.J. SYDNEY: You sure? JOHN: Positive. John and Sydney hugged. SYDNEY: Okay. Thanks, Grandpa. I guess we should go tell them. POLICE OFFICE BO: How long do you think it'll take? TONY: I'd say give it another week or so, and E.J.'s downfall should be complete. I'll keep feeding him false information. BO: You told him that the big man was still alive? TONY: That was one of the first things I told him. And he believed it. He actually believed that Stefano was alive again. |

I like Bo and Tony working together to bring down EJ. I'm glad Sydney told John that EJ is alive.

Chapter 32 SAMI & LUCAS' APARTMENT Sydney, Ceri, and John had gone to the apartment to tell Sami and Lucas about what had happened. SAMI: How did five rounds to the chest not kill him? SYDNEY: No idea. LUCAS: He's a DiMera. Even though we're surprised, we probably shouldn't be, given all the times Stefano has come back to life. SAMI: I'll kill him. SYDNEY: Mom, no. JOHN: Just hold on for a minute, Sami... SAMI: No. I'm tired of him hurting my family, especially you, Sydney. That monster needs to be taken out! LUCAS: Sami, you've already spent five years in prison for E.J. Do you wanna add another life sentence? SAMI: If it keeps my children safe. LUCAS: Well, your children need you. You can't go back to jail again, Sami. Your family needs you, especially now. SAMI: Well, what do you suggest we do? JOHN: I'll make some calls, see if I can get anyone from the ISA on this case. SYDNEY: And Ceri and I talked to Uncle Bo. He said he's looking into it. UNDISCLOSED LOCATION E.J. was standing in an undisclosed location. He looked at his watch. E.J.: Come on. Where is he? Tony walked up. TONY: Stefano is very angry with you, Elvis. E.J.: Why would he be angry with me? TONY: He feels that you have abandoned him. Five years on the run and you never once stopped at any of the DiMera safe spots all across the globe. E.J.: Well, I hardly could, could I, André? Not with people thinking I was dead. I had to lie low. TONY: You could have laid low at any number of locations, and enjoyed Stefano's company while there. E.J.: Well, I'll just have to explain to him. Where is he? TONY: You'll see him soon enough. And I hope you catch him in a good mood. If you don't, well, who knows what he might do? |

Chapter 33 UNDISCLOSED LOCATION E.J.: He's that mad? TONY: Oh, it goes beyond that. E.J.: Oh god... TONY: Elvis, what do you expect? You have, effectively betrayed him. Not even once while you were on the run did you ever try to make contact with him. E.J.: I thought he was dead. I'll just have to go and explain it to him. Where is he? TONY: Oh, you'll see him. In a few days. E.J.: When? TONY: Friday. The Pier. 10:30. You better be there sharp...or else my knife and Stefano's anger will be when we find you. Tony left. POLICE DEPARTMENT Bo, Chelsea, John, Sami, Lucas, and Sydney were sitting in Bo's office. BO: So, we're all here because of the same person: E.J. DiMera. SAMI: Uncle Bo, what are we gonna do about him? BO: Well, I've got some of my best men working on it. JOHN: I made. call to the ISA. They told me three agents had already been assigned here. CHELSEA: Well, I wan't supposed to tell anybody, but dad already knows. I'm one of the agents. BO: The other two should be meeting us soon. There was. knock on the door. BO: Come in. Shane and Jeannie walked in. SHANE: Afternoon, everybody. John stood up. JOHN: Shane Donovan. SHANE: Hello, John. Good to see you. JOHN: And you must be Jeannie. I remember when you were just a kid. JEANNIE: Yep, that's me. Hi, Uncle John. BO: Shane, Jeannie, and Chelsea are our agents. We've also got a contact working from the inside, convincing E.J. to trust him, but he'll give him to us at the last moment. Another knock came to the door. BO: Looks like I've go good timing. Come in. The door opened and Tony came in. TONY: Sorry I'm late. My meeting with E.J. at the location we discussed went over time. Sami stood up. SAMI: What the hell is he doing here??!!! |

Chapter 34 POLICE STATION Tony walked into Bo's office. TONY: Sorry I'm late, my meeting with E.J. at he location we discussed ran over time. Sami stood up. SAMI: What the hell is he doing here??!! TONY: Yes, it's good to see you, as well, Sami. SAMI: Why are you here?! BO: I invited him. SAMI: What?! Uncle Bo, are you insane? Do you realize how much this psycho has done to our family? TONY: Well, I realized that when I came back it would be hard to convince some people that I'm me. SAMI: What is that supposed to mean? BO: Sami, sit down! JOHN: I know what this looks like, but this isn't André, it's Tony. SAMI: How do you know? JOHN: I checked. SHANE: Sami, you've got three ISA agents and a cop in the room. If it was André, we'd have found out by now. He's given us undeniable proof that he's Tony. Proof that nobody old fake. Sami sat down. SHANE: Now, there's a reason we've called you all here tonight. Jeannie, Chelsea, Bo, Tony, and I have been working on a plan to bring down E.J. DiMera. And we're gonna need your help. SAMI: What do you need me to do? Whatever it is, I'll do it. DIMERA MANSION E.J. looked at his watch. E.J.: It's nearly time. I should get ready. He walked to the door. E.J.: I will regain your favor, father. |
