Chapter 11
Roman, Kate, Cassie, and Rex arrive home.
They all go in and Roman and Kate show Rex and Cassie their rooms.
“Now we will get your rooms fixed up the way you want soon.”
“Ok”
“Rex, Cassie, we will let you get settled in you rooms and then once you both have gotten settled in your rooms, will you both please come into the kitchen so we all can talk?” Roman says.
“Yeah, sure” Rex and Cassie both say.
“Ok, we will be in the kitchen.” Kate says.
Kate and Roman go into the kitchen and talk.
Rex and Cassie get settled in their rooms.
Roman and Kate go into the kitchen.
Katie do you want any coffee?”
“Yes, please”
Kate just keeps looking at the picture of the twins when they were four to five years old.
Roman fixes the coffee.
“Here you go”
“Thanks”
“Look at their little outfits; Cassie is wearing her little summer dress and Rex is wearing his little khakis shorts and little plaid shirt.” Kate says.
“We made beautiful kids Roman.”
Roman takes the picture from Kate and looks at some more.
“Yes we did Katie.”
“I just can’t believe the time we’ve lost with them.” Kate says.
“I know it breaks my heart; if only we could’ve found them sooner; if only we had never taken them upstairs at the pub for the nap on their first birthday.”
“I know Roman; I’ve told myself that everyday since they where kidnapped.”
“How was Stefano able to leave Salem with the twins and no one notices? Roman says.
“I don’t know; but you did everything in your power to find them.”
“Yeah but it still wasn’t enough to bring them home.
Kate and Roman keep talking about Rex and Cassie.
Rex comes in Cassie’s room and sees Cassie using her inhaler.
“Are you ok Cass; are you having trouble breathing?”
“I’m fine Rex.”
“Cass you shouldn’t wait tomorrow after the party to tell mom and dad about your asthma; you need to them tonight.”
“I will tomorrow after the party.”
“NO Cassie I’m telling them now.”
“No I don’t want to ruin the party tomorrow.”
“Telling them is not going to ruin the party; plus your health is my important then a party Cass.”
“The party is to celebrate with our family and I just don’t want them to be worrying about my asthma.”
“I don’t care what you want, you have asthma and I’m telling mom and dad right now.”
Rex runs down stairs and into the kitchen.
Cassie runs after him.
“Rex wait.”
“Mom, Dad, we’ve got to talk.”
“Rex what’s wrong?” Kate and Roman say apprehensively.
“Cassie you tell them right now or I will.”
“Ok Rex I will tell them now.”
“Tell us what?”
“Cassie what is it sweetheart.” Kate and Roman ask.
Cassie and Rex sit down at the table.
“I was going to wait to after the party tomorrow to tell you this, but Rex won’t let me wait to then, so I will tell you now; I’ve got asthma.”
Kate and Roman are devastated when they here the news.
“Cassie, why haven’t you told us yet?”
“Because I was going to tell you tomorrow after the party and I don’t want to ruin the party with you worrying about my asthma.”
“Cassie your health is more important then a party; I’m glad Rex made you tell us because we need to know everything about your asthma sweetie.” Kate says.
“I’m sorry; Rex was right.”
“It’s ok honey.” Roman says.
“Now Cassie we need to know everything about your asthma; how bad is it?” Kate says.
“Well I have mild persistent asthma; which means my symptoms occur more than twice a week but less than once a day, and flare-ups may affect some of my activities, nighttime flare-ups occur more often than twice a month but less than once a week and my lung function is 80% of normal or greater.”
“How old were you when your where diagnosed with asthma?” Kate asks.
“I was four years old when I started having symptoms of asthma and I was sent to Children's Hospital of Denver and that’s where they diagnosed me with mild persistent asthma.”
“Oh Cassie I’m so sorry that you have had to go through this?” Kate says.
“It’s not your fault.”
“I wish we could’ve been then for you.”
“Yeah me too”
“We need to know everything there is to know about your asthma Cassie.” Roman and Kate say.
Cassie tells Roman and Cassie everything they need to know about her mild asthma.
Rex and Cassie start getting tired after their big day.
“I can see you both are getting tired; it’s already 11:30 so why don’t you both go to bed and we will see you both in the morning.”
“Ok”
Rex and Cassie get up and hug Kate and Roman.
“Night” Rex and Cassie both say.
“Night and we love you both so much.” Kate and Roman tell their twins.
“We love you too.”
“Cassie if you have any trouble breathing or anything you let us know ok”
“I will.”
“Are you fine right now?” Roman asks.
“Yes”
Rex and Cassie go upstairs and get ready for bed.
Kate and Roman sit at the table a little while longer talking.
“Oh my God Roman; I just can’t believe Cassie has mild asthma.”
“I know Katie; but like she said thank God she doesn’t have moderate or severe asthma; like Cassie said that would be a lot worse.”
“The Jensen’s and Stefano are going to pay for what they have done to our family.” Kate says.
“Yes they will.”
“Where the hell could that bastard Stefano been hiding at all these years?”
“I don’t know Katie; but we will get him.”
“He hasn’t been seen since we confronted him about Rex and Cassie’s kidnapping; do you think he would return all these years later?”
“I don’t know Kate; I just don’t know.”
“I’m tired; are you ready for bed?” Kate asks Roman.
“Yes I’m ready for bed.”
Kate and Roman get up and go to bed.
Meanwhile Stefano DiMera has returned to Salem.

I'm working on Chatper 12 and a flashback chapter and it's coming along good.
I'm working on the first chapter on another Days fan fiction I'm working on and need help with title ideas.
I don't want to give anything way so here is a little info to help me with title ideas.
It's about a character who is married to someone she doesn’t love and she is deeply in love with another man who is also deeply in love with her and they have been together for a while and they are serious about each and she will end up pregnant.
Oh by the way can you see my avi? When I first added it I could see now I can't.
All I can see now is a rectangle shape with an x in a box and beside it says disneysparkleavitar.

Chapter 12
It’s a bright and beautiful summer morning.
It’s 9:00
Kate and Roman are in the kitchen drinking their coffee.
The phone rings and Roman gets up to answer it.
“Hello”
“Hey pop”
“Hey son; we have closed the pub today for the joyous celebration.”
“I called everyone and told them to be here no later then 12:00 for a wonderful surprise.”
“Yeah we will be over there around 11:30”
“Now you haven’t told anyone else have you?”
“No son; no one else knows besides Bo, Hope, your mother and me.”
“Ok good; because we want it to be a surprise.”
“Ok we will see you in a little while pop.”
“See you in a little bit Roman.”
“Bye Pop”
“Pop says that the pub is closed for today and that everyone should be there by 12:00; I said we would be there around 11:30.”
“Ok that’s great.”
“I can’t wait for Sami, Lucas, and Philip to see that their younger siblings for the first time in fourteen years.” Roman says.
“Me too; of course Philip did meet them yesterday at Dot Com; but of course he didn’t know that was his younger siblings either.”
“That’s true.”
“Roman do you think we should call Austin, Billie, Carrie, and Eric now or later at the party and tell them the great news?”
“I think we should do it now.”
“I’m going to call Eric.”
“Ok”
Roman calls Eric.
“Hello”
“Eric its Roman”
“Hey dad how is it going; is everything ok?”
“Son everything is great; I’ve got wonderful news to tell you.”
“Oh yeah what is it?”
“Son, Chase and Kaitlyn have been found”
“Oh my God dad this is the greatest news ever.”
“I know son; but you need to know that their names where changed to Rex and Cassie and that’s the names they grew up with and were not going to make it harder on them so them by having their first names changed back and well I will explain everything to you later.”
‘Yeah that’s true; dad I’m going to catch a flight to Salem and be in Salem this afternoon dad.”
“That’s great son; we will see you this afternoon at the pub.”
“Ok dad”
“Eric one more thing Kate and I are telling everyone about the news so don’t call anyone with the news.”
“Yeah of course.”
“Ok see you this afternoon son and be careful.”
“Bye”
“Love you son.”
“Love you to dad.”
Roman hangs up the phone.
Roman comes back into the kitchen.
“Eric is coming to Salem this afternoon.”
“That’s great Roman.”
“Yeah as soon as I said Rex and Cassie had been found he said he was catching a flight to Salem.”
“I need to call Austin.”
“Yeah it’s still too early in Israel to call Carrie.”
“Yeah and it’s still too early in London to call Billie.”
Kate gets up and calls Austin.”
“Hello”
“Austin honey its mom.”
“Hey mom is everything ok?”
“Everything is wonderful; I’ve got the greatest news to tell you.”
“What is it mom?”
“Chase and Kaitlyn have been found.”
“Oh my God mom this is the greatest news ever.”
“It is Austin and you also need to that their names were changed to Rex and Cassie after they were kidnapped and since that’s the name they grew up with were not going to make it any harder on them by having their first names changed back.”
“Yeah that’s very true.”
“Mom I will get a flight home to Salem as soon as possible.”
“That would be great Austin.”
“One more thing.”
“What is it mom?”
“Roman and I are telling everyone about the news so don’t call anyone with the news.”
“Oh of course I understand.”
“Ok I talk to you later.”
“Love you.”
“Love you to mom.”
Kate hangs up the phone.
Kate goes back into the kitchen.
“Austin said that he would get a flight to Salem as soon as possible”
“That’s great.”
It’s now 9:30
Rex and Cassie come down stairs and go into the kitchen.”
“Morning.” Kate and Roman say.
“Morning.”
“So, did you both sleep fine last night?” Roman asks.
‘Yeah”
“Cassie how are you feeling sweetie?” Kate asks.
“I’m feeling great mom.”
“That’s wonderful and your grandpa Shawn called earlier about the party and we said we would be there around 11:30.”
“That’s great.”
Roman says I’ve also got some more great news for you both.”
Oh yeah what is it?”
I called your brother Eric in Colorado Springs and he is going to be in Salem this afternoon.”
“Oh that’s great news.” Rex says.
“I know; I can’t wait to see everyone.” Cassie adds.
“I called your brother Austin in NYC and he said he would be here as soon as he can.”
“That is awesome.”
Rex and Cassie eat breakfast.
“Can I ask you something? Cassie asks.
“Of course sweetie; you can asks us anything.” Kate says.
“Were you ever close to finding us; I mean was there any leads that came close to finding us?”
“Yes, there was one lead that we thought we had found you; it was when three years after your kidnapped and you would’ve been four years old.” Roman tells them.
“Well you please tell us?” Rex says.
Kate and Roman tell Rex and Cassie what happened.
Flashback
Salem Police Department
Kate runs into Roman’s office.
“Roman you called and said to get over here and that it was very important.”
“Kate you need to sit down.”
“Roman what’s wrong?”
“Nothing is wrong, but there has been a tip.”
“Oh God Roman is it about Chase and Kaitlyn?” Kate says anxiously.
“Bo and I got a call from Chicago and there was a couple who got arrested…”
“Oh God Roman NO, Roman NO, please tell me that Chase and Kaitlyn are found alive and safe.” Kate says as she starts breaking down into Roman’s arms.
Roman holds Kate.
“Katie honey, it’s nothing bad.”
“What is the tip?”
“The couple that was arrested has four year old twins that are a boy and girl.”
“Oh God Roman do you think it could be them?”
“I don’t know Katie; I’m praying that it is.”
“Oh please let it be Kaitlyn and Chase.”
“There is an officer who is bringing the twins over to see if it Chase and Kaitlyn.”
“After three years our babies could be finally coming home?”
“Katie I hope and pray it’s them too, but we also got to be ready for the fact that it might not be Chase and Kaitlyn.”
“Roman it has to be our babies.”
“Also the officer said that the twin’s names are Savannah and Mason.”
“So Kaitlyn and Chase’s names have been changed to Savannah and Mason?”
“If it turns out to be them; then yes.”
“What are the names of the people who where arrested Roman?
“Their names are Craig and Rebecca Bradenton.”
“They are going to pay for kidnapping our babies and if they did anything to hurt Chase and Kaitlyn I will make sure they wished they were never born.” Kate says furiously.
Roman puts his hands on Kate’s face.
“Katie, look at me; you need to be ready and face the fact that Mason and Savannah might not be Chase and Kaitlyn.”
“It has to be Roman; it just has to be them.”
“Kate I want it to be Chase and Kaitlyn more then anything in the world too; but I just don’t want us to get our hopes set so high and then it turns out not to be them.”
Bo knocks on the door.
“Come in.” Roman says.
“Roman, Officer Hartley is here with Savannah and Mason.”
“Ok we will be right there.” Roman tells Bo.
NO Roman I’m not waiting any longer.”
“Ok let’s go.” Roman says.
Bo takes them to where the twins are.
“Hope is in there with them.”
Kate and Roman look through the window and see Savannah and Mason.”
“Oh my God Roman; look at them.”
“I know they do look like they could be Kaitlyn and Chase.”
“Well since Kaitlyn as a birthmark on the bottom of her foot; you won’t have to go through DNA test and wait longer.” Bo says.
Hope comes out of the room.
“Hey, we wanted to wait for you before we check the bottom of her foot to see if she has the same marking on her foot as Kaitlyn
“Ok Kate; do you want to go in there with me and Hope or do you want to wait out here with Bo while we check the bottom of her foot to see if she has the same birthmark as Kaitlyn?”
“I think it will be harder for me to go in there until we know for sure it’s Kaitlyn and Chase.”
“Ok”
“Bo you stay here with Kate.”
“You got it bro.”
Roman and Hope go into to the room and Kate and Bo watch through the window.
“Hey Savannah, Mason, this is Captain Roman Brady.”
“Hi” the shy twins say.
Roman bends down and tells the twins hi.
“Hi Savannah”
“Hi Mason”
Hope goes over to Savannah.
“Sweetie, Roman and I need to check the bottom of your foot; can we please do that?”
“Why?”
“Well we need to see if you have special mark on the bottom of your foot.” Hope says.
“Ok”
Hope asks “Roman if he is ready?”
“Yes” as he takes a deep breath.
Roman looks over at Kate and Bo.
Kate takes a deep breath.
“Oh God please let them be Chase and Kaitlyn.” Kate says.
Bo holds Kate.
Hope takes Savannah’s shoe and sock off her right foot to see if there is a marking that matches Kaitlyn
Roman asks “Is there a marking on the bottom of her foot?”
“No; Roman I’m so sorry.”
Roman puts his hand over his mouth and then looks at Kate.
“God Not again” Kate says crying.
Roman walks out the door.
“Katie baby I’m so sorry it’s not Kaitlyn and Chase.”
“This can’t be happening again.” Kate says as she runs back in to Roman’s office.
Roman runs after Kate.
Roman closes the door so he and Kate can talk.
“Katie baby I’m sorry.”
“Roman this is like loosing them all over again.”
“I know Kate this hurts like hell; but that’s why I told you not to get your hopes set so high because there was a strong possibility that’s it wasn’t Chase and Kaitlyn.”
“Roman don’t you dare tell me I should not have gotten my hopes set so high.”
“Kate I said that because I new what would happen if they turned out not be our babies.”
“How the hell was I supposed to feel when you told me that there was a chance that Chase and Kaitlyn might have been found?”
“Kate you know what the hell I meant by not getting our hopes set so high; my heart has been ripped out again too.”
“Roman I thought we had found them; I thought we were going to finally take our little boy and girl back home with us.”
“Kate I know I was praying for that too; there is nothing I want more then to find and bring Chase and Kaity-Bug back home with us.”
“I want my babies back more then anything in this world.”
Roman goes over to Kate.
“Kate you know we are going to find them; and we are never going to give up hope.”
“I know that Roman.”
Let’s go home and you can get some rest.”
“I can’t rest; but ok.”
Roman and Kate leave the office.
“Bo I’m going to take Kate home.”
“Ok, I will see you later then.”
Just before Kate and Roman leave Hope comes into the main room with the twins.
Savannah says “Hi” to Kate.
“Hello sweetie”
Mason also says “Hi”
“Hello sweetie”
“Bye” Kate says to the twins.
“Bye” the twins say.
Kate is trying to keep it together.
“Roman I need to go home please.”
“Ok honey”
Roman and Kate leave.
Back to present time
Everyone is crying.
"Oh my God” Rex says.
“I know that was so sad and what you both went through thinking that Savannah and Mason were us and then turned out not to be us.” Cassie says.
“That was the worst day of our lives after you were kidnapped.” Roman says.
“It was like losing you both all over again.” Kate says.
“In the story you called me Kaity-Bug; so is that a nickname you gave me?”
“Yes it is sweetheart; I always called you my little Kaity-Bug.” Roman says.
“Aw that’s so sweet.” Cassie says as she gets up and hugs Roman.
“I love you daddy.”
“I love you so much Kaity-Bug.”
Roman is trying to fight back tears.
Cassie goes over and hugs Kate
“I love to mama.”
“I love you so much baby.”
Rex hugs Kate.
“I love you mama.”
“I love you so much sweetie.”
Rex goes over and hugs Roman.”
“I love you dad.”
“I love you so much Rex.”
Roman looks at the clock.
“Oh my God it’s already 10:30; I told pop we would be at the pub by 11:30.”
“We all better be getting ready then.” Kate says.
Kate, Roman, Rex, and Cassie all go get ready.

Sweet ending to the chapter. I really liked the flashback. It was so sad.
