Stephanie approaches Melanie. Melanie smiles.

Melanie
“Hey Stephanie. It’s always a pleasure to see your face.”

Stephanie
“More like a privilege.”

Melanie
“Can I help you with something?”

Stephanie
“Yes, you can explain how you think you’re going to get away with hurting me.”

Melanie seems confused.

CHLOE’S ROOM

Phillip and Chloe continue to kiss, but are interrupted by Bo who knows on the door to get their attention. Phillip and Chloe quickly stop and turn to see who is watching them.

Phillip
“Bo, hey”

Bo
“Sorry to interrupt”

Chloe
“It’s fine.”

Bo
“I just want to ask you two questions about your attacks.”

Phillip
“Sure, fire away.”

Bo
“Ok so who wants to go first?”

Phillip and Chloe look at one another and smile.

UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL BREAK ROOM

Belle closes the door then walks over to Daniel.

Daniel
“I didn’t realize that you were Chloe’s protector or whatever.”

Belle
“Stay the hell away from Chloe. You had your chance and you blew it.”

Daniel
“I blew it?”

Daniel points to himself.

Daniel
“You mean Phillip slept with my fiancé and wrecked my engagement.”

Belle
“Just because Chloe cheated on you it doesn’t mean you had to break up with her, but you did. So get over it.”

Daniel smiles.

JAN’S ROOM

Mimi closes her eyes then opens them.

Jan
“Yep I’m still here.”

Mimi
“But you were in a coma.”

Jan
“And people from comas can’t wake up? Someone should really revoke your nurse’s licenses.”

Mimi
“You’ve been in a coma for like ever and now you’re awake and standing up?”

Jan
“It’s a miracle.”

CHLOE’S ROOM

Bo
“Let’s not all speak at once.”

Phillip
“I’ll start then.”

Bo
“Ok, so Phillip what were you doing when you were attacked?”

Phillip
“I was standing around the corner from Lucas’ room on the phone with Chloe. I called her and told her about what happened with Lucas. I just got off the phone with her and that’s probably when I got hit over the head because that is the last thing I remembered before waking up in the hospital bed.”

Bo
“So you didn’t see anyone.”

Phillip
“Nope.”

Bo
“Do you have an idea on who could have done this to you?”

Phillip
“No clue, it was random.”

Bo
“Who did you come in contact today?”

Phillip
“Lucas, my mom, Sami, Chloe, and oh yeah Stephanie went off on me today.”

Bo freezes.

Bo
“Stephanie? What did she say to you?”

Phillip
“She is mad that Nathan left her and that I got Chloe pregnant.”

Bo
“Interesting.”

Phillip
“Yes very. I told her that she should have known that Nathan wanted Melanie. It was obvious and we both made mistakes. I shouldn’t have married Melanie and she should have fallen for someone else.”

Bo writes down what Phillip is saying.

Bo
“Anything else you wanted to add?”

Phillip hesitates.

Bo
“Phillip, is there something you’re leaving out?”

Phillip
“Yeah, Daniel went off on me also, but that was after Chloe was brought in.”

Chloe
“What? Why?”

Bo
“Daniel found you in the elevator.”

Phillip
“Yeah and he blames me for your attack.”

Chloe
“That’s crazy. Why would you have anything to do with someone stabbing me?”

Phillip
“I don’t know. He hates me.”

Bo
“I’m sure that’s an understatement.”

Phillip
“You’re right about that. It was ugly.”

Bo
“Were there any witnesses to either verbal attack?”

Phillip
“Not with Stephanie I don’t think, but my mom and Melanie were in the room for Daniel’s tantrum.”

Bo
“Ok. Chloe it’s your turn.”

Phillip and Bo look at her.

UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL BREAK ROOM

Daniel
“This is so funny. Like really Belle? I thought you would have better things to do than this.”

Belle
“You don’t know me Daniel Jonas, but I know you.”

Daniel
“Oh really? What do you know about me?”

Belle
“You’re a womanizer who preys on their patients.”

Daniel chuckles.

Daniel
“I do not do that.”

Belle
“Oh really? So Chelsea, Kate, and Chloe weren’t your patients?”

Daniel goes silent.

Belle
“I thought so.”

Daniel
“So what happens if I don’t stay away from Chloe?”

Belle
“Stay away from her and you won’t have to find out.”

Daniel
“I’m so scared. Just look at my face.”

Daniel laughs out loud.

Belle
“I can think of some things. I’ve learn from the best. I am Sami Brady’s sister after all.”

Daniel laughs harder.

Daniel
“Yeah cuz Sami’s schemes work out so well.”

Belle
“Well I’m also a DiMera so I’m sure I can get a little creative.”

Daniel
“DiMera huh? Yeah I can believe that you can be as ruthless as EJ and Stefano.”

Belle
“Don’t push me.”

Daniel
“Ooh.”

Belle
“Don’t mock me. Leave Chloe alone or you’ll be sorry.”

Daniel
“I think you should get a life and stop trying to police mine.”

Belle rolls her eyes.

Daniel
“I think it’s cute though that you want to be all protective of Chloe. You’re a good friend, but Belle you’re wrong if you think that Phillip is right for her.”

Belle
“I’ve known Chloe much longer than you have and I know that Chloe has never loved anyone like she loves Phillip.”

Daniel
“Last time I checked Chloe didn’t marry Phillip but she married Brady and Lucas.”

Belle
“And look how well those turned out. She always went right back to Phillip.”

Daniel’s silent.

THE NURSES STATION

Melanie
“And how have I hurt you?”

Stephanie
“Taking Nathan from me.”

Melanie
“This again? Goodness, Stephanie get over it already.”

Stephanie
“And how should do that Melanie? You never did get over Nathan.”

Melanie
“And he never got over me even when he was you.”

Stephanie stares at Melanie. Melanie realizes she’s getting to her.

Melanie
“It must suck that no matter what you did; Nathan still couldn’t get over me.”

Stephanie
“Well you wouldn’t leave him alone.”

Melanie
“I did many times, but he would always find a way to be around me.”

Stephanie
“That’s a lie. You hounded him till he gave in.”

Melanie
“He’s the one that kissed me not the other way around. Face it Stephanie, Nathan never wanted you. You were just something he was passing the time with till he can get back what he truly wanted and if you’re not keeping up…”

Melanie gets closer to Stephanie.

Melanie
“…and that’s me.”

Stephanie huffs.

Melanie
“Oh I’m sorry. Did I hit a nerve?”

Stephanie grabs Melanie by the throat.

CHLOE’S ROOM

Chloe
“Well I was at Java Café when I got a call from Melanie about Phillip. I got to the parking garage and it started to feel like someone was following me. I turned around and no one was there so I kept going then I heard a noise. I turned around and saw someone dressed in all black. They had a knife so I turned and ran for the elevator. I tried to get the doors to open, but they moved so slowly. Finally I was able to get in and then I was stabbed and…that’s the last thing I remember.”

Phillip comforts her.

Bo
“Man or woman?”

Chloe
“I’m not sure. Their clothes were so baggy.”

Bo writes what Chloe says.

Chloe
“I feel like I’m not much help.”

Bo
“You’re doing fine. We have security footage we’re going to pull so that will help your case also.”

Phillip
“Ah, technology.”

Bo
“Yes”

Suddenly, Bo, Phillip, and Chloe hear yelling from the hall.

Bo
“I’m going to check that out.”

Bo walks out into the hallway. Stephanie is choking Melanie to the ground. Bo walks up and is shocked. He rushes over to pull Stephanie off of Melanie. Nathan walks up.

Stephanie
“Died bitch, die!”

Stephanie yells. Bo attempts to pull Stephanie off of Melanie. Nathan rushes over.

Bo
“Stephanie, let go.”

Nathan
“Let her go Stephanie.”

Stephanie releases her grip and Bo pulls her away. Stephanie watches as Nathan kneels down to check on Melanie who’s rubbing her neck and coughing.

Nathan
“Are you alright?”

Melanie
“Yeah.”

Nathan helps Melanie up as they stare at Stephanie. She stares back.

CHLOE’S ROOM

Phillip
“I wonder what’s going on out there.”

Chloe
“I don’t know.”

Phillip
“Hopefully no one else was attacked.”

Chloe
“Yeah cuz that’s been going around.”

Phillip
“Yeah. Vivian was poisoned.”

Chloe
“Really? Do they know who did it?”

Phillip
“Nope. I hear she’s in a coma.”

Chloe
“I can’t say that I’m sad about that.”

Phillip
“Me either. My father doesn’t seem to care either. I called him, but he never showed up. Only Gus seems to care. And I guess Daniel. He was her doctor.”

Chloe
“I’m sure Daniel does care. He doesn’t know that Vivian was the one that made me think that he was cheating on me with Carly. I was so stupid to believe her.”

Phillip
“No you’re not.”

Chloe
“Then what am I?”

Phillip
“The most beautiful woman in the world.”

Chloe smiles. Rex comes in. Phillip and Chloe look over at him.

Rex
“Sorry to interrupt.”

Phillip
“Come on in.”

Rex
“I have both of you guys’ release papers.”

Phillip
“Awesome.”

Rex hands them their papers.

Rex
“All you two need to do is sign then you can go home.”

Phillip and Chloe sign their papers then hand them back to Rex.

Phillip
“We’re free”

Rex
“Yep. You two have a goodnight.”

Phillip
“Thanks bro.”

Chloe
“Thanks Rex.”

Rex walks out.

Chloe
“So what do you want to do?”

Phillip
“Go home and get in bed with you.”

Chloe’s surprised.

JAN’S ROOM

Mimi
“No this can’t be happening”

Mimi keeps repeating over and over again.

Jan
“It is and I will tell Phillip about your little secret.”

Mimi
“No.”

Mimi screams. Suddenly, she wakes up and realizes it was all a dream and she was asleep at Jan’s bedside and Jan was still in her coma. Rex walks in. He looks at Mimi and seems confused.

Rex
“Mimi, what are you doing?”

Mimi
“I fell asleep.”

Mimi tries to stand up but she feels groggy and stumbles. Rex quickly walks over to her to help her keep her balance.

Rex
“Are you ok?”

Mimi
“Yeah I’m fine.”

Rex
“Are you sure? You don’t seem that way.”

Mimi looks at Rex.

Mimi
“I need to talk to Phillip.”

Rex
“I sent Phillip and Chloe home.”

Mimi
“I need to go see him about you know who.”

Rex
“Ok then. After our shift is over, we can go see him.”

Mimi agrees.

CHLOE’S ROOM

Chloe
“Go to bed?”

Phillip
“Yeah and watch a movie and relax.”

Chloe
“Oh.”

Phillip
“What did you think I meant?”

Chloe
“Um…that.”

Phillip starts to laugh. Chloe smiles.

Chloe
“What?”

Phillip
“Nothing.”

Chloe
“Ok. Well I’m going to change into my clothes.”

Phillip
“Okay.”

Chloe
“You should go get into your clothes.”

Phillip
“I will”

Chloe
“So go and do that and I’ll change”

Phillip
“Do you not want me to see you change?”

Chloe
“Yeah. It’s a little weird.”

Phillip
“Why? It’s like I haven’t seen it before.”

Chloe tries hard not to laugh.

Phillip
“You know I’m right.”

Chloe
“Yeah so.”

Phillip
“I’ll go.”

Chloe
“Thank you.”

Phillip walks out, but turns around just to look at Chloe one more time before leaving.

Chloe
“Close the curtain”

Phillip
“I am”

Phillip closes the curtain. Chloe starts to take off her gown; Phillip pulls the curtain back a little. Chloe looks at him.

Chloe
“Phillip Kiriakis.”

Phillip
“I’m gone for real this time.”

Phillip closes the curtain again. Chloe stares for a moment to make sure Phillip is gone and laughs.

UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL BREAK ROOM

Belle
“So you see my point?”

Daniel
“I don’t care about whatever point you’re trying to make here Isabella, but I will say this. Nothing you say or do will stop me from feeling the way that I do. I love Chloe and I’m going to tell her that right now.”

Daniel walks towards the door. Belle rushes over and stands in front of it.

Daniel
“Move Belle.”

Belle
“No.”

Daniel
“You do know that I can just pick you up and move you out of my way right?”

Belle
“Touch me and I’ll scream.”

Daniel
“Well then just move.”

Belle
“No, I’m not going to let you get anywhere near Chloe and Phillip. They’re going to work things out and be a family with their daughter.”

Daniel
“Daughter? Chloe’s having a girl?”

Daniel backs up.

Belle
“Yes. Rex showed us earlier. Chloe’s carrying a baby girl Kiriakis so there’s no room for you in her life.”

Daniel looks around.

Belle
“Sorry, not sorry.”

Daniel
“I’m sure.”

Belle
“Stay away from Chloe.”

Daniel looks down.

Belle
“Well if you excuse me. I have patients to take care of.”

Belle walks out.

Daniel
“Whatever. I will get Chloe away from Phillip Kiriakis.”

NURSE’S STATION

Bo lets Stephanie go.

Bo
“What the hell is going on here?”

Stephanie
“I was just minding my own business when Melanie waltzes up just to throw it in my face that Nathan wants to be with her like she’s something special.”

Melanie
“You got in my faceand accused me of stealing Nathan from you.”

Stephanie
“You did.”

Stephanie tries to go after Melanie again, but Bo stops her. Melanie and Nathan step back.

Stephanie
“First Max, then Phillip, and now Nathan. You won’t stop till you make sure that I’m alone.”

Melanie
“I feel like I’ve heard this before.”

Stephanie
“You know it’s true you little bitch.”

Nathan
“Just shut the hell up!”

Nathan yells. Everyone looks at him. Bo releases Stephanie.

Nathan
“This is my fault. I should have never gone out with you Stephanie. I knew I was in love with Melanie and it wasn’t right to lead you on. I’m sorry Stephanie for everything I put you through. If I could go back, I would change it all.”

Stephanie stands still as she fights back her tears.

Nathan
“I’m sorry. Don’t take this out on Melanie. If you want to take it out with someone then let it be me. But really Stephanie, you should move on and stop making a fool of yourself.”

Stephanie wipes the tears from her eyes. Nathan sees then turns to Melanie.

Nathan
“Let’s go Melanie. We have plans.”

Melanie
“Ok.”

Nathan and Melanie walk over to get on the elevator together. Stephanie covers her face to hide her tears.

Bo
“Stephanie, I’m sorry.”

Stephanie turns around and stares him in the face with tears running down her cheeks.

Stephanie
“For what? That no man an ever love me?”

Bo
“It’s not that.”

Stephanie
“Oh, what is it then Uncle Bo?”

Bo tries to answer, but Stephanie interrupts.

Stephanie
“You know what? I don’t care. Screw you.”

Stephanie walks away. Bo takes a deep breath.

Bo
“What’s going on?”

Bo asks himself.

KIRIAKIS MANSION

Phillip and Chloe walk into the Kiriakis mansion.

Phillip
“Home sweet home.”

Chloe
“I guess”

Phillip
“So you want to go upstairs?”

Chloe
“And watch that movie?”

Phillip
“Sure. You can choose.”

Chloe
“Okay then.”

They walk upstairs to Phillip’s room. They walk inside and close the door.

Phillip
“So do you want some action or some romance?”

Chloe
“What?”

Phillip
“Do you want to watch an action movie of a romantic one?”

Chloe
“Oh.”

Phillip
“Is there something wrong?”

Chloe
“Yeah there is.”

Phillip
“What’s that?”

Chloe
“I have a feeling that you have something on your mind.”

Phillip
“You’re right. I do.”

Chloe
“And what is that?”

Phillip
“You and our daughter.”

Chloe
“What about us?”

Phillip
“I could have lost both of you today and it made me realize even more today than any day that I don’t want to spend another day without you.”

Chloe freezes. Phillip walks up to her and puts his arms around her waist.

Phillip
“I love Chloe Lane. I never stopped.”

They gaze deeply into each other’s eyes.

Phillip
“We got together and broke up too many times to count, but I don’t want to break up anymore.”

Chloe
“What are you saying?”

Phillip
“Can we give us another chance?”

Chloe
“Phillip, I…”

Phillip
“Please say yes.”

Chloe tears up.

Phillip
“I feel like that drunken night opened the door for us to try again. And then you ended up pregnant and I’m the father. It’s like this is how it’s supposed to be.”

Chloe
“You’ve been talking to Belle haven’t you?”

Phillip
“You don’t feel that same?”

NURSE’S STATION

Daniel walks up to Chloe’s room and sees she’s not in there. He sees Rex at the nurse’s desk looking through some charts. He walks up to him.

Daniel
“Hey Rex, did you move Chloe?”

Rex looks up.

Rex
“No, I sent her home.”

Rex goes back to reading charts.

Daniel
“But she was stabbed.”

Rex looks up again.

Rex
“Yeah and she was doing better and the baby was ok so I sent her home. Is there a problem because I do know how to care for my patients especially my friends?”

Daniel
“I’m sure you do.”

Rex
“Then we’re done here.” Have a good night Dr. Jonas.”

Rex goes back to reading his charts. Daniel walks away and heads for the elevator.

KIRIAKIS MANSION

Phillip worries.

Chloe
“I care about you Phillip.”

Phillip
“Here we go.”

Phillip turns around and walks away.

Chloe
“No Phillip.”

Chloe walks up behind him. He turns around.

Chloe
“It’s just like you said. We’ve broken up and gotten back together more times than we can count.”

Phillip
“So…”

Chloe
“…so I don’t want to break up anymore either. I’m scared. What if we did give this another chance and it ends badly?”

Phillip
“I’m willing to take that chance because I love Chloe. I can’t imagine not loving you.”

Chloe
“I love you to Phillip.”

Phillip
“If we’re in love then we owe it to ourselves to try again.”

Chloe
“You’re right. We do.”

Phillip
“We don’t have to jump into anything so fast or anything.”

Chloe
“Yeah, we can take things slow.”

Phillip and Chloe pause then slow move toward each other. They gaze into each other’s eyes before they begin to kiss.

CHEATIN’ HEART

Daniel is drinking away his sorrows at the bar. Stephanie walks in. She sees him and walks over. Daniel looks over at her.

Daniel
“Hey Stephanie.”

Stephanie
“Don’t talk to me.”

Daniel
“Ok.”

Daniel sips his drink.

Stephanie
“You just had to bring that little bitch into the world.”

Daniel
“If you don’t want me to talk to you then don’t talk to me and I’m assuming you’re referring to my daughter.”

Stephanie
“Yes I am.”

Daniel
“Well don’t talk about my daughter. I don’t want to talk about her.”

Stephanie
“Aww. Did she do something to upset daddy?”

Daniel
“She defending that lying little bastard Phillip.”

Stephanie
“So she’s stringing him along while claiming to love Nathan?”

Daniel takes another sip then puts his drink down.

Daniel
“I don’t know and don’t care. I thought you didn’t want to talk to me?”

Stephanie stares at him.

Daniel
“If you don’t mind, I would like to finish my drink without you staring a hole into my head because you’re mad at me for getting Carly pregnant with Melanie.”

Stephanie takes a seat and orders a drink. Daniel continues to drink his.

PHILLIP’S ROOM

Phillip
“We’re taking things slow right?”

Chloe
“Yeah”

They say as they continue to kiss. They slowly move to the bed. They briefly stop to take each other’s shirts off. Chloe lies down on the bed. Phillip climbs on top and they continue to kiss as Chloe loosens his pants and pulls them down. Phillip shakes them off and pulls down Chloe’s panties. They pause to gaze into each other’s’ eyes one last time before they make love.

Hey guys. Thanks again for reading and being patient with me. I am thinking about changing the format of my story so to move things along more. I was wondering what storylines do you prefer more as well as characters? Would you mind if certain storylines or characters were to be dropped?

He says without even looking up from his files.

Harold walks out and Chad walks in. EJ is still more interested in his files, but feels Chad's presence.

"Chad, it's so nice of you to drop by."

"Like I had a choice. Your goons dragged me here."

EJ smiles and closes up his files and places them on the table. He looks at Chad.

"Would you have come on your own?"

Chad
"Nope."

EJ stands up.

"Goons?"

“Ah, dad. I like the sound of that.”

Chad turns and walks out of the living room. EJ watches as he leaves. Chad walks out of the door as Nicole walks downstairs. She walks into the living room as EJ pours himself a drink.

“So how did your meeting with your son go?”

EJ swallows his whole drink then pours another.

Nicole
“That bad, huh?”

EJ
“He doesn’t want to work with me.”

Nicole
“At DiMera?”

EJ
“No, at seeing Johnny.”

Nicole
“You don’t need Chad to see Johnny.”

EJ looks over at Nicole.

Nicole
“I can get you in to see Johnny.”

EJ
“How?”

Nicole
“Come to the hospital with me and I’ll show you.”

EJ smiles.

Nicole
“I have an appointment in a little bit.”

EJ
“Is everything ok with the baby?”

Nicole
“Yep it’s just a checkup and I might get to know whether I’m carrying a boy or a girl.”

EJ
“I will love to go, but I have to take care of one thing before I can.”

Nicole
“That’s cool. I’m going to head to Java Café before I go. I have a craving for their blueberry muffins.”

EJ
“Well buy as many as you like.”

Nicole
“I will.”
EJ and Nicole kiss then look into each other’s eyes and smile.

EJ
“Well I better get going.”

Nicole
“Yes. 1 hour.”

EJ
“One hour.”

Nicole grabs her purse. EJ watches as she walks out the door. EJ’s phone rings. He answers.

EJ
“Hello? He’s in town? Good. Make an appointment so that I and my father can speak with him. Thank you.”

EJ hangs up.

EJ
“Well things are about to get interesting.”

Jamie is lying on her bed when there’s a knock at her door. She gets up to answer it. She opens the door and it’s her cousin Aaron.

Jamie
“Aaron, finally you made it here.”

She moves out the way so he can come in.

Aaron
“Sorry, I had some business to take care of.”

Jamie closes the door and walks towards Aaron.

Jamie
“More important than me?”

Aaron
“I took care of you. Everything is all cleaned up. No one will ever suspect you, but you need to get out of town tonight.”

Aaron goes into his jacket pocket and pulls out a plane ticket and hands it to Jamie.

Jamie
“I can’t leave town yet. I have some stuff I need to take care of first.”

Aaron
“Like what? Mia? I’ll handle her.”

Jamie
“No. I need to meet with Stephanie Johnson.”

Aaron
“Who’s she? And why do you need to talk with her?”

Jamie
“She’s the bitch that killed my husband.”

Aaron
“Eddie? I’m sure he deserved it.”

Jamie
“No he didn’t. That slut tried to have sex with him and when he didn’t want to, she killed him.”

Aaron
“Is that what the police said happened?”

Jamie
“No, they said that he tried to rape her and she was just defending herself.”

Aaron
“Then I’m sure that’s what happened.”

Jamie
“I can’t believe you’re going against me.”

Aaron
“I can’t believe that you’re defending that loser.”

Jamie
“He was my husband.”

Aaron
“Yes one of your many…many mistakes. Look, forget about this Stephanie Johnson woman and just leave town.”

Jamie
“Fine. Give me an hour to pack.”

Aaron
“Your plane leaves in 3 hours. Be on it. I’m going to see Mia.”

Jamie
“Oh have fun with that.”

Aaron kisses Jamie on the forehead then walks out the door.

Joy sits in the park near Salem High School daydreaming about her kiss with Chad. Mia interrupts.

Mia
“Joy”

Joy jumps.

Mia
“Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you.”

Joy
“Hey Mia. It’s fine. How are you?”

Mia
“I’m good.”

Mia says all smiles.

Mia
“What are you thinking about?”

Joy
“What do you mean?”

Mia
“You seemed deep in thought when I walked up.”

Joy
“Oh, I was just thinking about this project I have to do.”

Mia
“That wasn’t a project thinking moment. Did you meet a boy?”

Joy
“What? Me? No.”

Mia
“You don’t have to deny it Joy. We’re besties. You can tell me anything.”

Mia states as she places her hand on Joy’s shoulder.

Joy
“Ok. Well I didn’t meet him at school. I met him at the ball.”

Mia
“Tell me more.”

Mia says getting comfortable.

Joy
“He walked up behind me, turned me around and kissed me.”

Mia
“Just like that?”

Joy
“Yeah just like that. Unfortunately he thought I was someone else.”

Mia
“Ooh sorry.”

Joy
“Oh well.”

Mia
“Was he cute at least?”

Joy
“I guess. I didn’t get to see his face. He had a mask on.”

Mia
“Of course. It was a masquerade ball.”

Joy
“Yes. I wish I knew who he was. Though it wouldn’t matter. He’s obviously taken.”

Mia
“Not too taken if he’s making out with you.”

Joy
“But he didn’t know that I wasn’t the one that he wanted.”

Mia
“If a guy can’t recognize his girlfriend or date or whatever then he can’t be that into her. Just saying.”

Joy
“So you think I have a chance.”

Mia
“Of course you do.”

Joy
“But how do I find out who he was?”

Mia puts her arm around Joy.

Mia
“You leave that to me.”

Joy
“You would help me out?”

Mia
“Yes of course. Didn’t I tell you we’re besties?”

Joy
“Yeah”

Mia
“Then okay then.”

Joy
“Thank you Mia. You’re so nice.”

Mia
“I aim to please.”

Joy stands up.

Joy
“Well sorry, but I have to get home and do my homework. I’ve got a lot to catch up on.”

Mia
“No problem. Have fun.”

Joy
“Oh I will. Bye.”

Joy waves before walking off. Mia waves back. She waits until Joy’s out of sight before rolling her eyes.

Mia
“Besties? Ha Ha. More like keep your friend’s close and your enemies closer.”

Mia smiles. Aaron walks up to her.

Aaron
“Mia”

She looks over at him.

Mia
“Dad.”

Aaron
“Long time no see.”

Mia
“Not long enough.”

Mia gets up and tries to walk away, but Aaron stops her.

Mia
“Let go of me.”

Aaron
“No, not until you hear what I have to say.”

Mia
“I already heard it all from Jamie. I don’t need to hear it from you too.”

Aaron
“I know and I’m sorry for never telling you that Carol wasn’t your mom.”

Mia
“And sorry is supposed to make everything all better?”

Aaron
“No, I know I have some work to do.”

Mia
“You can work all you want, but I don’t care. Leave me alone.”

Mia turns to walk away.

Aaron
“Your real mother died.”

Mia turns back around.

Aaron
“She died not too long after you were born. I met Carol a few months later and she wanted to be your mom.”

Mia
“She didn’t act like it sometimes.”

Aaron
“Well you don’t make things easy.”

Mia
“She turned her back on me when I got pregnant with Grace.”

Aaron
“You had a girl?”

Mia
“Yeah and she was very beautiful and sweet.”

Aaron
“Was?”

Mia
“She died.”

Aaron
“I’m sorry.”

Mia
“There’s that word again.”

Aaron
“I won’t say it again.”

Mia
“Thank you.”

Aaron
“Do you want to know your mother’s name?”

Mia
“Yeah.”

Aaron’s about to say her name, but Mia interrupts him.

Mia
“You know what? I don’t care. She’s dead and I need to go do my homework or something.”

Aaron
“Ok, can we talk later?”

Mia walks away without answering.

Nicole’s at Java Café getting her muffins. She turns around and Brady’s standing behind her. They smile at one another.

Nicole
“Brady”

Brady
“Nicole”

Nicole
“Nice to see you.”

Brady
“Nice to see you also. How are you and the baby doing?”

Nicole
“We’re great. We’re about to go to the hospital for a checkup. Do you want to come?”

Brady
“Oh I can’t. I have a meeting to go to.”
Nicole
“Oh.”

Nicole feels down. Brady notices.

Brady
“Maybe I can call you later or you call me later and we can talk about it?”

Nicole smiles.

Nicole
“I would like that.”

Brady
“Cool…um…I let you text you when I’m done.”

Nicole
“Sounds great.”

Brady
“Ok. I’ll talk to you later.”

Nicole
“Ok. Bye Brady.”

Brady
“Bye.”

Brady walks passed Nicole to order some coffee. She checks him out as he goes pass then walks out with her muffins. Just as she walks out, she walks pass Aaron. Nicole stops to check her phone as Aaron turns and looks at her. He walks up to her.

Aaron
“Excuse me.”

Nicole turns around.

Aaron
“Oh my goodness, it is you.”

Nicole seems confused.

Nicole
“Do I know you?”

Aaron
“Yes. It’s me. Aaron. I’ve missed you so much.”

Nicole
“I’m sorry, but you must have me mistaken with someone else.”

Aaron
“No I don’t. You really don’t remember me Misty?”

Nicole freezes.

Nicole
“That’s not my name.”

Aaron tries to touch her, but Nicole jumps back.

Nicole
“Get away from me.”

She screams. Brady walks out and sees them. He rushes over.

Aaron
“Misty, there’s so much I need to tell you.”

Brady
“Get away from her.”

Brady pushes Aaron away from Nicole.

Aaron
“Hey, I just wanted to talk to her.”

Brady
“Well she doesn’t want you to talk to you so get lost.”

Aaron
“Who the hell are you? Batman?”

Brady
“No, the father of her child.”

Nicole and Aaron are surprised.

Aaron
“What a surprise. I…”

Brady
“Are getting lost? Yes. Goodbye.”

Aaron
“Fine, I’m gone.”

Aaron looks at Nicole.

Aaron
“I want to talk to you again Misty. There’s a lot we have to discuss.”

Brady
“Go”

Brady says as he shields Nicole from Aaron. Aaron walks away. Brady waits till Aaron’s out of sight before he checks on Nicole.

Brady
“Are you okay?”

Nicole
“Yeah I’m fine. Thanks.”

Brady
“Do you know that guy?”

Nicole
“No, I don’t think so. He called me Misty.”

Brady
“Yeah I heard.”

Nicole
“Probably some low life that worked for my dad.”

Brady
“Probably. Do you need me to take you to the hospital?”

Brady asks as EJ walks up.

EJ
“That won’t be necessary. She has me.”

EJ smiles.

Nicole
“EJ, I thought we were going to meet at the hospital?”

EJ
“I thought I’d meet you here.”

Nicole
“Well that’s sweet.”

EJ
“That’s me. Sweet EJ. Come on darling, we don’t want to be late.”

Nicole walks over to EJ. He pulls her into a kiss then puts his arms around her and looks at Brady who seems disgusted which made EJ even happier.

EJ
“We need to see how our baby is doing.”
Brady watches as EJ rubs Nicole’s belly.

Brady
“Are we still on for tonight, right Nicole?”

EJ squints his eyes.

Nicole
“Of course.”

Brady
“Good. I’ll text you then.”

Nicole
“Ok”

Nicole tries to hide her smile.

Brady
“I’ll see you later then.”

Brady slaps EJ’s shoulder as he walks away.

Nicole
“We better get going too.”

Nicole starts walking.

EJ
“You and Brady later?”

Nicole turns around.

Nicole
“He just wants to talk about the baby.”

EJ
“Our baby?”

Nicole
“Brady could be the father too.”

EJ
“He’s not though. I am. And it’s about time we do a DNA test to determine that.”

Nicole
“Fine.”

EJ
“Good.”

EJ walks away. Nicole looks disappointed.

Hey guys,

Thanks for reading. I know it's like forever since I posted. Got busy with work and school and other dramas, but I'm back now. I have decided that each chapter will focus on one storyline to move things along. Chapter 69 was the last chapter to future more than one storyline. Chapter 70 will focus on Johnny and Sydney so it'll future Lucas, Sami, EJ, and Nicole mostly. Chapter 71 is about Tyler which will feature the last blast crew. Chapter 72 will focus on the Nathan/Melanie/Stephanie storyline. Chapter 70 is almost done. I hope to get that out in the new day or so. Hoping nothing else comes up. Again, thanks for reading.

I'm glad that Joy realizes that Mia is NOT her bestie. Mia might not want to know who her mother is, but I do.

It's creepy that Aaron called Nicole Misty. But it's fun seeing two men fighting over Nicole for a change.

Walters smiles.

“Of course. It’s nice to see you again Mr. DiMera.”

“You can call me EJ.”

“He’s the key to you seeing Johnny.”

“How so?”

“Well he’s the only doctor here that’s not related to Sami or Lucas or likes them and doesn’t hate me.”

“Nicole, why don’t you wait for me in exam room #3 while I get EJ to Johnny’s room?”

“So how are we going to pull this off?”

“Simple, come with me to my office.”

Walters starts walking. EJ follows.

Sami’s in Johnny’s room checking on him. He’s fast asleep. Sami just brushes his hair with her hands. She’s interrupted by a knock on the door. She looks over and Rafe walks in. She smiles.

Sami
“Hey.”

Rafe
“I hope I’m not interrupting.”

Sami
“Nope perfect timing.”

Rafe walks up to Sami and hugs her. She tries not to cry, but fails.

Sami
“We could have lost him.”

Rafe
“But we didn’t.”

Sami
“Thanks to Lexie and Lucas.”

They stop hugging. Rafe wipes the tears from her eyes.

Rafe
“Yep. And one good thing came out of this. Lucas is Johnny’s biological father.”

Sami
“Now I can be done with EJ all together.”

Sami looks down at Johnny. Rafe seems confused.

Rafe
“You forget about Sydney.”

Sami
“Yeah…um…Sydney, it won’t be hard to get full custody of her.”

Rafe
“Yeah I think you have a great case.”

Sami
“Alex thinks so also.”

Rafe
“Good.”

Sami looks at Rafe and smiles.

“Yeah”

Outside of Lucas’ room, Alex is on the phone with the courts about Sami’s custody case as Kate walks up behind her.

Alex
“Yes. We’re just petitioning for custody of one kid now. We have proof that Johnny is not EJ DiMera’s biological son.”

Kate clears her throat. Alex turns and sees Kate.

Alex
“Yes I will talk with you guys tomorrow. Bye.”

Alex hangs up.

Kate
“Oh I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to interrupt your conversation. It sounded important.”

Alex
“It was, but its fine. It’s near the end of the work day anyways.”

Kate
“Good, so you can spend more time by son’s side.”

Alex
“I plan on doing so.”

Kate
“So why are you out here?”
Alex
“He was taking a nap. So I just left him alone.”

Kate
“You really need to stop doing that.”

Alex
“Doing what?”

Kate
“Leaving Lucas alone.”

Alex
“Why?”

“Because when you’re not here, Sami is. And that’s a problem”

“Um…they’re friends and their son is in the hospital. I don’t see a problem with them hanging out together. I’m glad that someone can be here when I’m not.”

Kate
“I used to like you, but now I’m thinking you’re too stupid to be with my son.”

Alex
“Excuse me?”

Kate
“How do you think they made Johnny? Obviously they’re more than just friends. Wake up.”

Alex
“And that’s in the past.”

Kate
“There’s no such thing as the past with Sami Brady. She changes her mind more than she dyes her roots.”

Alex
“She’s with Rafe. I don’t see her trying to get back with Lucas.”

Kate
“Are she and Rafe still staying with you two?”

Alex stops and thinks.

Kate
“I thought so.”

Alex
“They’re looking for a place to live.”

Kate
“They would have gotten out a long time ago if that was the case. I think Sami likes being close to Lucas and you and Rafe make it even easier for them to be together since you two work around the clock.”

Alex
“We have jobs and I don’t feel the need to watch Lucas like a hawk because the mother of his children is staying with us. That’s like being paranoid.”

Kate
“Lucas has no barriers when it comes to Sami. He would give her anything and would do anything she wants him to do. Damn the consequences. If it means that you are left out, then so be it.”

Alex
“You make it seem like Lucas doesn’t have much use for me.”

Kate
“Well if you don’t make yourself useful.”

Alex feels hurt.

Kate
“If you don’t want Lucas then fine. Keep doing what you’re doing. But if you want Lucas, you better do better. Or I’ll find someone else who can.”

Alex
“Okay, I will.”

Kate
“Good girl.”

Kate pats Alex on her back.

Kate
“Well I need to go and check on my new grandson.”

Kate says all smiles before she walks away. Alex turns and walks into Lucas’ room.

Rafe and Sami walk out of Johnny’s room. Dr. Walters watches as they walk away. He looks over at EJ who’s dressed in scrubs with a mask and hat on.

Walters
“Ok, this is your window. You won’t have that long. I have a nurse who’s going to be your look out.”

EJ
“Ok, thanks.”

EJ walks up to Johnny’s door. He slowly opens the door and walks in closing the door behind him. He stares at Johnny whose still sleeping. He walks over to his bedside and sits down. He puts Johnny’s hand in his.

EJ
“Johnny, I know I shouldn’t be here, but I feel the need to see you.”

Johnny opens his eyes slowly then looks over at EJ.

Johnny
“Dad?”

EJ
“I’m right here.”

Johnny
“Where have you been? I’ve wanted to see you.”

EJ
“I’ve…I couldn’t come to see you.”

Johnny
“Why not?”

EJ takes a deep breath.

EJ
“Have your mother and Lucas talked to you about me?”

Johnny
“They said that you were busy.”

EJ
“That’s all?”

Johnny
“Yep. I asked if you were going to come and see me one day, but they never answered. So why you are here dressed like a doctor?”

EJ
“I have something to tell you, but you can’t tell anyone ok?”

Johnny
“Ok.”

EJ
“You promise?”

Johnny
“Yes I promise.”

They smile at one another.

Dr. Walters walks into exam room #3 to check on Nicole.

Nicole
“Hey doc. Is everything set up for EJ?”

Dr. Walters
“Yep. He’s in there with Johnny as we speak.”

Nicole
“Great. Thanks again.”

Dr. Walters
“Of course. Anything for my favorite patient.”

Nicole
“Aww shucks”

Dr. Walters
“Ready for your exam?”

Nicole
“Yes. I want to know if my baby is a boy or girl.”

Dr. Walters
“Well let’s find out.”

Dr. Walters sets up to give Nicole an ultrasound.

Alex is sitting by Lucas’ bedside when he opens his eyes. He looks over at her and smiles.

Lucas
“Well hello beautiful.”

Alex
“Hey. How was your nap?”

Lucas
“Great, but I’m happy that I get to see you now.”

Alex
“I bet. I missed you.”

Lucas
“I missed you too.”

Alex
“Really?”

Lucas
“Yeah, why wouldn’t I?”

Alex
“I don’t know. Um…where’s Sami?”

Lucas
“She was going to check on Johnny before I went to sleep. I’m sure she’s still there.”

Alex
“Oh cool.”

Lucas
“Are you ok?”

Alex
“Yeah I’m fine.”

Lucas
“Are you sure? You seem off.”

Alex
“It was stressful day.”

Lucas
“Well come here and I’ll help relieve some of that stress.”

Alex lies in bed next to Lucas. Outside of Lucas’ room, Sami and Rafe are about to go in when Rafe gets a call. He looks at the id.

Rafe
“It’s work. You go in and I’ll be in in a little bit.”

Sami
“Ok.”

Sami walks in and see Lucas and Alex cuddling.

Sami
“Oh I’m sorry.”

They look over at her.

Sami
“I’ll come back.”

Sami starts to back out.

Lucas
“Don’t be silly. Come on in.”

Sami
“Ok.”

Sami walks back in and closes the door. Alex rolls her eyes.

Sami
“Good to see you Alex.”

Alex
“Likewise.”

Sami
“So did you hear anything back about Sydney?”

Lucas
“Sami, not now.”

Alex
“It’s fine. I did hear about it. A decision will be made tomorrow.”

Sami
“Good.”

Lucas’ phone goes off. He picks it up off the table. He looks at the message. Alex and Sami look at him.

Alex
“Is everything ok?”

Lucas
“Yeah. It’s cool. Just Will texting me. Um…Sami, could you go in the hall for a moment?”

Sami
“Why?”

Lucas
“Can you just do it?”

Sami
“Fine.”

Sami walks into the hall. Alex tries not to smile. She walks over to Lucas.

Alex
“Is everything ok with Will?”

Lucas
“Yeah, I’m just wondering if you can give Sami and me some time to talk about it please.”

Alex tries not to get mad.

Alex
“Sure.”

Lucas
“Thank you. I’ll make it up to you I promise.”

Alex
“I’ll hold you to that.”

Lucas
“Ok.”

In the hall, a man walks up to Sami.

Man
“Are you Sami Brady?”

Sami
“Yeah”

Man
“Lucas Horton told me to give this to you.”

The man hands Sami an envelope. Sami takes it then hides it when she hears Alex coming out. Alex walks over to Sami

“Lucas wants to talk to you about Will.”

Sami
“Ok thank you.”

Alex walks away. Sami rushes into Lucas’ room and closes the door.

Lucas
“Did you get it?”

Sami
“Yes”

Sami walks up to Lucas’ bed.

Lucas
“Well open it.”

Sami opens the envelope and pulls out its contents. She reads them.

Lucas
“So, is Sydney your daughter or Nicole’s?”

Sami looks at Lucas.

Back in Johnny’s room, EJ and Johnny talk.

EJ
“Ok, the reason I haven’t been here to see you is that…we found out that we’re…I can’t be your father anymore.”

Johnny
“Why not?”

EJ
“Because Lucas is going to be your father now.”

Johnny
“Allie’s dad is going to be my dad now?”

EJ
“Yeah. You like him, right?”

Johnny
“Yeah he’s awesome. He buys us ice cream and tells us cool stories.”

EJ
“Good, then you’ll be happy with him as your dad.”

Johnny
“He’s cool and all, but he’s not you. I want you to be my dad.”

EJ
“I want to be your dad too, but I can’t. I hope you can understand.”

Johnny
“I don’t.”

EJ closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. He opens them a looks at Johnny with tears in his eyes.

EJ
“I know, but one day you’ll understand and I hope you won’t hate me.”

Johnny
“I could never hate you. You’re my dad.”

EJ smiles through his tears.

EJ
“Thank you. I have one last thing to say. Be good to your mother and especially to Lucas, ok?”

Johnny
“Ok, I will.”

EJ
“I have to go now.”

Johnny
“Ok.”

EJ kisses Johnny on his forehead before walking towards the door. EJ looks back as Johnny turns over and falls asleep. EJ smiles then opens and walks out the door. He closes it and wipes his eyes. Suddenly, he hears his name. He freezes for a moment then turns around. It’s Alex.

Alex
“What are you doing in Johnny’s room?”

EJ
“Johnny’s room is right here? I didn’t know.”

Alex
“Yeah you did. You’re trying to see him. And why are you dressed as a doctor?”

EJ
“You surely ask a lot of questions.”

Alex
“Better me than Sami or Lucas. I’m going to tell them right now.”

Alex turns around to walk away, but EJ grabs her arm and turns her back around. She gets nervous.

Alex
“Let go of me.”

Alex struggles to get free, but EJ won’t let go.

EJ
“Look Alex, you’re not going to tell anyone anything because you wouldn’t want Lucas to know who you really is…Alessandra Santiago.”

Alex freezes.
EJ
“Using your mother’s maiden name like that’ll change anything. And Alex isn’t this that far off from Alessandra. You’re not all that bright. Good thing Lucas is an idiot and doesn’t know what he’s gotten himself into.”

Alex
“Don’t tell Lucas, please.”

EJ
“I won’t say anything as long as you keep your mouth such about me seeing Johnny.”

Alex
“I won’t tell Lucas or Sami or anyone.”

EJ lets go of Alex’s arm.

EJ
“I’m glad we had this nice little chat. Goodbye Alex.”

EJ smiles as we walks away. Alex sighs.

Kate’s wrapping up a call. She starts to walk toward Johnny’s room, but sees Rafe. She walks over to him as he’s checking messages.

Kate
“What the hell are you doing?”

Rafe looks up from his phone confused.

Rafe
“Not that it’s any of your business, but I’m checking messages.”

Kate
“When you should be putting a leash on your fiancée.”

Rafe puts his phone in phone in his pocket.

Rafe
“Ok, I’ll bite. What did Sami do this time to piss you off?”

Kate
“Nothing to me, but something to you.”

Rafe
“Me?”

Kate
“Always hanging around Lucas. Do you even want to be with Sami?”

Rafe

“So, you’re going to leave me in suspense?”

Sami stares at the results.

“Sami? Hello?”

Sami looks up at Lucas.

“What does it say?”

“Sydney is…she’s my daughter.”

Sami starts to cry.

Lucas
“See, now aren’t you glad you did the test. Now you know the truth.”

“Yeah. Well you need to get some rest and I need to check on Johnny.”

Lucas
“But I just had a nap.”

Sami
“Stop being a baby.”

Sami kisses Lucas on the forehead before leaving his room. She closes the door then leans against the wall and takes a deep breath.

Sami
“Sorry Lucas. I don’t want to lie to you, but it’s for the best. You, EJ, Nicole, no one can know that Sydney is EJ and Nicole’s daughter. They just can’t.”

EJ walks into Nicole’s exam room as she sits on the bed smiling at her baby’s sonogram photos.

EJ
“Hello darling.”

Nicole looks over at EJ with a big smile on her face.

Nicole
“Hey. How did everything go with Johnny?”

EJ
“I talked to him. He’s doing much better.”

Nicole
“That is great.”

Nicole gets up and hugs EJ. He hugs her back tightly.

Nicole
“Hey, do you want to see pictures of the baby?”

EJ
“Sure.”

They stop hugging. Nicole hands EJ one of the pics.

EJ
“Wow.”

EJ smiles.

“Guess what’s in my belly.”

EJ
“Um…a baby?”

They laugh.

“Duh, but is it a boy or a girl?”

EJ
“I don’t know. Tell me.”

Nicole and EJ smile at each other.

“It’s a girl.”

“Yes.”

“I’m happy.”

EJ pulls Nicole into a hug. They then look into each other’s eyes before they kiss.Dr. Walters is checking some files when Dr. Baker walks off the elevator. Baker walks over to him.

Baker
“I’m reporting to duty.”

Walters looks up.

Walters
“Nice to see you have decided to work with me.”

Baker
“Like I had a choice.”

Walters
“I gave you a choice.”

Baker
“This is the only choice I had to make.”

Walters
“Whatever if that’s how you want to put it.”

Baker
“That’s how it is.”

Walters
“Like I said whatever. It’s not my fault you couldn’t follow the boss’ orders and I can.”

Baker huffs.

Baker
“So what is it do you want me to do?”

Walters digs into his pockets and pulls out some envelopes and hands them to Baker.

Baker
“What’s this?”

Walters
“I want you to deliver them to the right people.”

Baker looks at the envelopes.

Baker
“Philip Kiriakis? Shawn Brady? Shawn, that’s Hope’s son. What is this about?”

Walters
“None of your business. Just do it, ok? And don’t screw it.”

Baker
“I won’t.”

Walters
“I have so much faith in you.”

Walters tries to say without laughing, but fails. Baker walks over to the elevator as Walters blurts out laughing. Baker shakes his head as the doors close. Walters gains his composer then gets back to work.

Its evening time in Salem as Chloe awakes to find Phillip is not lying next to her. She gets up and puts some clothes on before walking downstairs to look for him.

Chloe
“Phillip? Phillip?”

She calls, but no answer. She gets to the bottom of the stairs. She looks around then walks into the living room. She’s surprised to see a table for two set up. She smiles as she looks away to the terrace where Phillip leans in the doorway with a drink in his right hand.

Phillip
“You’re awake.”

Chloe
“Yes I am.”

Phillip walks towards her.

Chloe
“What’s all this?”

Phillip
“I thought you would want to eat something after the afternoon we had.”

Phillip smiles showing off his dimples.

Chloe
“It was quick the afternoon.”

Phillip
“It was the best afternoon that I could remember.”

Chloe
“I have to agree.”

Phillip pulls out Chloe’s chair for her.

Chloe
“Thank you.”

Phillip gives her a quick kiss before she sits down. Phillip sits across from her.

Chloe
“You know, you can’t keep doing these kinds of things for me. I might get used to it.”

Phillip
“Well get used to it baby.”

They laugh.

Phillip
“I want to do this for you every day or every other day for as long as you’ll have me.”

Chloe smiles. They’re interrupted by the doorbell. Henderson walks in.

Henderson
“I’ll get it, don’t you two move.”

Phillip
“Thanks Henderson.”

Phillip and Chloe begin to eat as Henderson answers the door. He opens the door and strange man standing here holding two envelopes.

Henderson
“Can I help you?”

Strange Man
“Yes. I have a delivery for a Phillip Kiriakis and a Chloe Lane.”

He says pronouncing Kiriakis wrong. He hands the envelopes to Henderson.

Henderson
“I’ll make sure they get them.”

Strange Man
“Make sure they open them immediately. It’s very urgent.”

Henderson
“Will do sir.”

Strange Man
“Thank you, sir.”

He says before walking away. Henderson seems confused as he closes the door. He walks into the living room to give Phillip and Chloe their envelopes.

Henderson
“Excuse master Phillip, Miss Lane.”

Phillip and Chloe look up at him.

Phillip
“Yes Henderson”

Henderson
“I’m so sorry for interrupting, but a man brought by these envelopes for you two and said it was very important that you two open these right away.”

Phillip and Chloe seem confused, but take the envelopes from Henderson.

Phillip
“Ok.”

Henderson
“I will leave you two alone. Just let me know if you need anything else.”

Phillip
“Thank you Henderson.”

Phillip and Chloe open their envelopes. They each pull out of a piece of paper.

Chloe
“You’re invited to room 218 at University Hospital.”

Phillip
“Mine says that as well.”

Chloe
“What’s in room 218?”

Phillip
“I have no clue.”

Chloe
“Should we go?”

Phillip
“Well someone went out their way to invite us so I guess we should maybe.”

Chloe
“Well I’m curious to know what this is about.”

Phillip
“Maybe it has something to do with our attacks?”

Chloe
“Maybe so. I want to see what the big deal is.”

Phillip
“Well let’s go.”

Chloe and Phillip get up and head out. At University Hospital, Belle is organizing files at the nurse’s station when Shawn walks off the elevator and over to her with an envelope in his hand.

Shawn
“Hey Belle.”

She looks over at him and smiles.

Belle
“Hey”

Shawn
“I got this message to go to room 218.”

Shawn holds up the envelope.

Shawn
“Do you know anything about this?”

Belle seems confused.

Belle
“No I don’t.”

Shawn
“Come on Belle, give it up.”

Belle
“I really don’t know Shawn.”

Shawn
“Ok I’m confused.”

Belle pauses.

Belle
“Wait, there’s a patient in that room. I remember Mimi was there.”

Shawn
“Who was it?”

Belle
“Oh my gosh.”

Shawn
“What?”

Belle
“It’s Jan’s room.”

Shawn seems confused. Mimi arrives at the Kiriakis mansion. She rings the doorbell. Henderson answers.

Henderson
“Well hello Miss Mimi.”

“Hey Henderson, is Phillip around?”

“No I’m sorry. Master Phillip and Miss Chloe just left.”

“Do you know where they went?”

“Not sure, but I’m sure it had something to do with the messages they received.”

“Some strange man brought them messages and said it was urgent that they read them.”

“Um…maybe so, they were in the living room if you would like to check.”

Henderson moves out of the way to allow Mimi to come inside. She walks in the living room and found one of the notes and reads it.

Back at University Hospital, Shawn and Belle talk about Jan.

“Yes, she’s still in her coma.”

“Ok, then why would I get a message to go to her room?”

Belle
“I don’t know, but we should find out.”

Phillip and Chloe walk off the elevator and see Shawn and Belle. They walk over to say hi.

Phillip
“Hey guys.”

Shawn and Belle look over at them.

Belle
“Hey, is everything alright? The baby’s fine?”

Chloe
“The baby is just fine.”

Chloe says as she rubs her belly.

Belle
“So what brings you guys here?”

Phillip
“We got a message to go to room 218.”

Shawn
“So did I.”

Phillip
“What’s it all about?”

Shawn
“I don’t know, but that’s Jan’s room.”

Phillip
“Jan Spears?”

Shawn
“Yep. The one and only.”

Chloe
“Wasn’t she in a coma?”

Belle
“She still is and there hasn’t been a sign of any improvement either.”

Phillip
“That’s weird.”

Shawn
“Yeah, let’s find out what this is all about.”

Phillip
“Let’s go.”

Shawn, Phillip, and Chloe head to Jan’s room. Belle decides to tag along.

Belle
“I want to know too.”

Dr. Walters watches as they walk towards Jan’s room. Dr. Baker walks up behind him.

Baker
“I see they’re following the bait.”

Walters turns around

“Just like Jan wants them to do.”

Baker
“So I’m guessing they don’t know that Jan’s not really in a coma anymore.”

Walters
“Maybe you’re not so dumb after all. Here, now take these files and look over them.”

Walters smiles as he walks away. Baker rolls his eyes and grabs the files then walks away. Rex walks up to the desk as Mimi comes off the elevator. She sees him then rushes over.

Rex turns to her.

“What’s wrong? Did you talk to Phillip?”

“No, he wasn’t home. He and Chloe got a note to go to Jan’s room.”

“What? Why? Jan’s in a coma.”

Belle, Shawn, Phillip, and Chloe enter Jan’s room. Jan’s resting.

“See, she’s in a coma.”

“Well why would we get these messages to come to her room?”

“This is just weird.”

Suddenly Jan sits up.

“It’s not weird at all.”

Belle, Shawn, Phillip, and Chloe are startled.

“What the hell? You were in a coma.”

“Yes Izzy, key word was. Now I’m awake.”

Jan shows an evil grin.

“Hey Phillip, Chloe, and hi Shawn”

“You look just as good as I remember, maybe even better.”

“Oh were you remembering when you locked him up in a cage?”

“Oh Belle, you’re always bringing up the past.”

Jan looks over at Chloe.

“Ghoul Girl, you look like you put on a few extra pounds.”

“Her name is Chloe and she’s pregnant.”

Jan
“Who would want to know her up?”

Phillip
“Me.”

“Enough of all of this, why the hell did you ask us here?”

Rex and Mimi walk in. Everyone look over at them.

Jan
“Well I don’t remember asking you two to come here, but this is perfect.”

“I knew you were awake.”

Jan
“Just in time to tell Phillip that you have been keeping your son a secret.”

“Son?”

“Oh Phillip, don’t tell me you forgot about your lab baby with Mimi. What’s his name again? Taylor?”

Belle starts to move towards Jan, but Shawn holds her back.

“I’m with Belle.”

Mimi either. So that’s why I let him go. Then somehow Mimi got him.”

“So what are you going to do now?”

“I would like to get to know my son.”

“I’m sorry, did I do something wrong?”

“Are you still mad about it earlier?”

Belle
“Oh come on. Like you don’t know that Jan set up Mimi, Phillip, Chloe, and Shawn. I mean you’re her doctor after all.”

Daniel
“What? Jan’s in a coma. And yes I’m her doctor. If she woke up I think I would know that.”

“Well you must be a really crappy doctor because Jan Spears is wide awake and as bitchy as ever.”

“Well you should go to her room and see for yourself.”

“Good, bye.”

Daniel picks up his chart and heads to Jan’s room as Shawn walks up.

“How could he not know? He’s her doctor and someone had to send you guys those notes.”

Baker eavesdrops on Belle and Shawn. He walks away and bumps into Dr. Walters.

“Watch yourself Baker.”

“Shaw Brady is going to dig into who helped Jan.”

Walters
“And you better hope you covered your tracks.”

Baker
“Yeah I did.”

Walters
“Good, then you have nothing to worry about.”

Walters smiles. Mimi walks out of Jan’s room. Rex walks up to her and hugs her.

“I’m sorry this came out this way.”

“It’s my fault. I should have told Phillip when I first came to town.”

“So are you here to nurse me back to health?”

“I’m going to call your aunt and cousin. I’m sure they would be very happy to see you awake.”

“I have patients to take care of.”

“But aren’t I one of your patients?”

Daniel
“I’ll be back.”

“Bye doctor”

Jan waves as Daniel walks out and closes the door. He leans against the door and sighs.

“What just happened here?”

Carly walks up.

“Talking to yourself again?”

“Carly.”

“Is everything ok?”

“Yeah, I just found out my coma patient is wide awake.”

“I guess so. I better call her family.”
