Great chapter jkjpatch! For the life of me, I could not figure out how they safely transplanted the fetuses and was trying to suspend belief, but I was having a difficult time of it.
Glad to know they are both who they are supposed to be.

Fantastic twist Kpatch. Love it! I can hardly wait for more. I'm so glad Chloe confided in Nicole. I really like Nicole giving Chloe some helpful hints for the bedroom.

Okay - this makes a lot more sense (I guess!!) Kate and Victor are truly the masters at manipulation. Can't believe that they actually think they are going to get away with this!! Hope the DNA test proves that Chloe is really Chloe. Maybe then Phillip and Chloe can FINALLY put this behind them!!

What an amazing twist. I love it. They both think the other is a double. I hope Nicole goes to Bo because Bo knows about Philip thinking Chloe is not Chloe. No wonder Chloe is confused. Philip is testing her with wrong info, but she is going along with it as if it is the truth. Can't wait to read more. I may have to even use the 3G on my cellphone at lunch. Don't think I can wait till I get home.
Too bad about the fetus transplant. I was thinking of all the babies we could save.

Hope: Did I just see you talking to Chloe, or was it my imagination?
Bo didn’t answer.
Hope: Brady? What’s wrong?
Bo: I ... I’m stumped, Fancy Face. I don’t know who’s telling the truth or if I’m the one being played.
Hope: What on earth are you talking about?
Bo: He says she’s not who she is. She says he’s not who he is. I’m starting to wonder who I am.
Hope laughs and kisses Bo.
Hope: I know exactly who you are. You’re Beauregard Brady, the man I love.
Bo: Thanks Fancy Face. Um ... you are my Fancy Face, aren’t you?
Hope: Of course! Who else would I be?
Bo looked at Hope and did a double-take, but didn't respond.
Hope: You okay? Need any help?
Bo: Um, thanks but no. I'd better do some investigating on my own before I talk to Chloe or Philip again.
THE LAKE HOUSE
Chloe: Is Philip home yet?
Henderson: No ma’am. He said he would be home late and not to wait up.
Chloe: Good.
Henderson: Pardon?
Chloe: Um. Very good, thank you Henderson. Is Wesley sleeping?
Henderson: Yes, last I checked.
Chloe: You can go on home then. Thank you for your help.
Henderson: My pleasure Mrs. Kiriakis. Have a good evening.
WESLEY’S BEDROOM
After Henderson left, Chloe went to check on Wesley. The memory book that she was supposed to complete was on the chest of drawers, where she left it. She opened it and saw the daunting list of personal questions that she hadn’t fleshed out yet: When did you first realize you were in love? Pet name. Favorite lullaby. First place we made love. Where we were when we found out Philip was Wesley’s father.
Chloe turned on a small light in Wesley’s room. She sat down in the rocking chair.
Chloe: If Philip -- or whoever he is -- wants details, I’ll give him details. If he’s looking for information, then that’s what he’s going to get.
Chloe began writing like mad. Suddenly she was really happy to have a reason not to go to her bedroom tonight. She was determined to finish the memory book, even if it took all night.

THE LAKE HOUSE, PHILIP’S STUDY
Philip had to wait through what was just about the longest week of his life. The DNA results hadn’t come in, but he was starting to think he didn’t really need a DNA test to tell him what he already knew ... that the woman who lived in his house and looked like Chloe was really someone else.
When Philip returned home that evening, he went straight to his study on the main floor -- anything to avoid going to his bedroom. It was getting harder and harder to keep up the pretense. It surprised -- and relieved -- him that Chloe didn’t seem to be demanding anything of him physically. She wasn’t affectionate or physical around him either, which tended to confirm Philip’s fear that she wasn’t really his wife. Dr. Bader assured them that everything was fine with the baby but Chloe never mentioned it. Not only did she not seem excited about the baby; she seemed not to care -- more evidence that she wasn’t Chloe.
And if she wasn’t Chloe, she was probably just an innocent victim and was brainwashed into thinking she was Chloe. And that begged the question: Where was the real Chloe?
He sat down at his desk to think and, as he put his hands on the desk, he noticed the memory book in front of him. He opened the notebook and saw that it was filled with handwriting -- handwriting that looked like Chloe’s. Every page was full of ink. He began to read.

Ahhhhhh. What a cliffhanger to leave us with on the long weekend. I want to know what Chloe wrote. Poor Pkilip. If only Bo would tell him that Chloe got the same type of note it would explain why Chole is acting the way she is. I am glad. Kpatch is not taking the 25th off. Can we have previews please?

djm, what is June 25th? I can't wait for Bo to tell Philip that Chloe doesn't think he's Philip. At least I hope he does!!! Please give the Salem brain to Bo. June 24th is Le Fete National a day to celebrate Quebec. Because it falls on a Sunday this year Monday is the day everyone gets off. If it falls during the week the day must be given off on that day so no long weekend. A lot of things are planned ending with a parade and big concert. Wish they would do the same for Canada Day, but as everyone knows Quebec wants to be its own country. (Just have not been able to get 50 + 1 % of the vote yet for it) So not much is done for Canada Day. |
