This story was written as the third part of a three part story. It picks up right where Part 2 leaves off. But, first, a brief recap:

So Far...

Brady and Melanie attempt to cook dinner for each other at the Kiriakis Mansion while Victor and Philip are away on business. However, after Melanie burns the lasagna and Victor and Philip's plane is cancelled, the two are forced to make a hasty retreat. They settle on dinner at Chez Rouge, deciding to wait until another time to cook for one another.

Will and Mia's dinner with Lucas and Kate is interrupted when Chad, Mia's ex-boyfriend and the father of Sydney, arrives demanding to know where the baby is. When Mia explains that she put the baby up for adoption, Chad gets angry and tries to threaten Mia. However, Mia isn't having any of it and firmly tells Chad to stay away from her. Afterwards, Will and Mia go for a walk and Mia tells Will the full story of her relationship with Chad and how evil he is. Will comforts Mia and tells her that Chad will never get the chance to hurt her ever again. Later, the two return to Lucas' apartment to find that Will's father and mother plan to get back together again.

John returns to Salem and asks Roman for help looking for Marlena. He goes into detail about a woman who looks like and claims to be Marlena, but is most definately not the real Marlena. With Roman's help, John finds out that the imposter Marlena is Hattie Adams, and he sets out. He finds Hattie lying dead in an abandoned shack Tony DiMera is also there, and is very much alive. He had been chained to a wall but Hattie had unchained him. Together, John and Tony go off to confront André.

Tony (who is really André) and Anna have dinner with E.J. and Nicole, however "Tony" is suspicious as to why E.J. is being so nice. And he is right to do so, as Stefano has once again risen from the dead. All is not as it seems, however. "Tony" is revealed to be his look-alike cousin, André. The real Tony (mentioned earlier in this recap) is chained up in an old abandoned shack. Together, André, E.J., and Stefano plot the next step of their master plan. Once back home with Anna, André slips up and momentarily reveals himself. It turns out that Anna has known all along that André wasn't Tony. André plans to shoot and kill and Anna, but it appears that Lawrence Alamain has already done that for him. The two strike a deal that, in exchange for Lawrence keeping his silence on André's ginormous list of crimes, Lawrence will recieve half of DiMera Enterprises and André will recieve Ivan. After killing Stefano, Lexie, and E.J., André turns on Lawrence. André proclaims himself Lord Dictator over Salem and has Ivan tie Lawrence down to a chair and have duct tape put over his mouth.

Down in the basement of the DiMera Mansion, Bart and Dr. Rolf are working on something. There is a body with a white sheet over it. But, who could it be?

Prologue

DiMERA MANSION - BASEMENT (FLASHBACK)
CELESTE: My predictions are not alwqys 100%, Stefano. You of all people should know that.
STEFANO: Yes, my dear Celeste. I am quite aware of that. But I have great faith in you and your visions. I know they will not let me down. There is just one thing I am confused about. I can see the madman as being André. The idiots and fools are Bart and Rolf, I assume. But, one thing puzzles me. You spoke of a savior. Who is the savior?
CELESTE: The savior would be Antony.
STEFANO: What?! How can Tony possibly be André's savior?
CELESTE: The vision I had has told me that when the time of the final battle comes to a climax, Antony will give up his life for his most hated enemy...

DiMERA MANSION - THRONEROOM
ANDRE: Stefano knew that this was coming. He could see my ultimate triumph coming! That psychic Celeste had had a vision about it! And she was right. For now...I will be victorious!!!

Chapter 1

DiMERA MANSION
For the past hour, Bart had been dying to know what the big plan was. At last, André was ready to speak.
BART: So, bossman, what is the master plan?
ANDRE: Oh, all right, I'll tell you. But only because I'm so proud of it. Actually, I suppose it really all started with Stefano and his obsession with Marlena. You remember that one woman, the one who looked sort of like Marlena but not quite? The one Stefano had transformed into an exact replica of Marlena?
BART: You mean Hattie Adams?
ANDRE: Yes, exactly. Well, this all started a few months ago...

DiMERA MANSION - FLASHBACK
Hattie walked into the DiMera Mansion.
STEFANO: Ah, Hattie. I was wondering when you would show up.
HATTIE: Yeah, well I'm here now, big shot. So, whadda ya want?
STEFANO: I have an...assignment for you.
HATTIE: What sorta assignment?
STEFANO: I want you to kidnap Marlena Evans, bring her to me, and impersonate her.
HATTIE: No way! There is no way in hell that I'm goin' anywhere near Blondie and that wannabe cop husband of hers!
STEFANO: Hattie, Hattie, calm yourself! You wil recieve payment for your services.
HATTIE: Payment, huh? What...what sorta payment didja have in mind?
STEFANO: You've had your eye on Police Commissioner Roman Brady since you first came to town, yes? Well, if Roman thinks that you are Marlena, and that you and John are having marital troubles, he will of course be a good friend and try to help you out. The two of you get closer, he falls in love with you, I get my Queen of the Night back, everybody wins. You understand how it works now, yes?
HATTIE: Well...when you put it like that, I...all right, I'll do it. But you gotta promise me that I'll end up with Roman.
STEFANO: Hattie, trust me. By the time you're done with him, Roman Brady will be eating out of the palm of your hand.

DiMERA MANSION
BART: So, what happened next? Did Mr. D really get Roman and Hattie together?
ANDRE: Oh, of course he didn't, Bart. Stefano would have said anything to get Hattie back on our payroll. No price was too high to get his precious Queen of the Night, Marlena, back. But then...Hattie had to go and mess things up.
BART: How do you mean?
ANDRE: Well, Hattie kidnapped Marlena in the middle of the night. She injected her with a sedative, but the effects must have worn off quickly. Marlena woke up and started to struggle. Hattie must have beaten her into unconciousness. When Hattie brought her to the mansion, Marlena's face had been horribly disfigured. She was amost unrecognizable. Stefano was furious...

DiMERA BASEMENT - FLASHBACK
STEFANO: What have you done?!
HATTIE: Well, uh...Blondie woke up in the middle of the middle of the night while I was takin' her away. Started tryin' to get away from me. Guess I got a little carried away tryin' to defend myself. (laughing) She did put up one hell of a fight, though.
STEFANO: It's not funny!
HATTIE: Dang right it's not funny! For as skinny as she is, she's a good puncher! Darn near broke my nose off! Ya know how much it cost to get this into the right shape?
STEFANO: I'll break your face in half if you don't get out of my house!
Stefano started adavancing towards Hattie. André held him back.
HATTIE: Stay away from my nose!
Stefano stopped resisting and sat down in a chair.
HATTIE: Don't get what the big deal is, anyway. Marlena wasn't all that pretty in the first place! I've done her a favor!
STEFANO: Get out of my sight!

DiMERA MANSION
BART: Whoa! Hattie must have messed up Marlena real good.
ANDRE: Yes, she certainly did. Which reminds me, Rolf's been doing some facial reconstructive surgery on her today. Let's see how it's going, shall we?
André and Bart headed downstairs.

Chapter 2

DiMERA MANSION
Bart and André were back upstairs discussing the plan.
BART: Okay, bossman, I get the whole deal with Hattie. But how about Tony? I mean, how did you get him out of the way?
ANDRE: Well, that was one of the harder parts. We had to wait for an opportune time. We couldn't just take him away at any moment, everything had to be exactly right. Funnily enough, a situation presented itself almost two months ago.
BART: And that situation was?
ANDRE: Tony had a rather nasty fall down the stairs and was taken to Salem University Hospital. In the middle of the night, after the main staff had left, Rolf and I went in, dressed as two doctors from the hospital. We injected Tony with a drug that would put him in a short-term coma. We then moved the body out to an abandoned shack on the outskirts of Salem and chained him up to a wall.
BART: Genius!
ANDRE: Oh, but that's just the start. Before chaining Tony up, we took the hospital wrist band off of him and placed it on my own wrist. Then, Rolf and I went back to the hospital. I put on a hospital gown and got into the bed that Tony had been in. Rolf then injected me with the same coma-inducing drug that he had given Tony. And when I woke up, all I had to do was act like I was the real Tony. I got so good at it, too. Nobody suspected a thing...except for Anna, of course. She was always able to tell the difference between me and Tony.
BART: So, that's why you got rid of her.
ANDRE: Oh, but I didn't get rid of her.
BART: Boss, if you didn't get rid of her, then who did?
André pointed to Lawrence, who was still tied to a chair and had duct tape over his mouth.
ANDRE: It was Lawrence who got rid of Anna for me, wasn't it, Lawrence?
Lawrence stared at André, a mean look in his eyes. He mumbled something through the duct tape.
ANDRE: What's that? Sorry, I can't hear you.
Lawrence continued to stare down André, who simply laughed.

BRADY PUB
John and Tony were having a cup of coffee. Tony had just finished telling John about how he had been chained up in the shack.
JOHN: So, what happened after you got chained up?
TONY: Well, I just hung there for a while. Then, one day, Marlena...I mean, Hattie, came into the shack...

OLD SHACK - FLASHBACK
We see Tony chained up. Hattie quickly runs in.
HATTIE: Whew! Good thing I made a break for it when I did! Old man DiMera's gonna wanna murder me next time he sees me.
Hattie turned to look at Tony.
HATTIE: Whoa! What the hell are you doin' here? I know you, you're that whack-o nephew of old man DiMera! Didn't I just see you at that big mansion of his? Well, what are you doin' here? And why are you chained up to the wall?
TONY: No, I'm not André, I'm Stefano's son, Tony. Of course, you should know that best of all, Marlena.
HATTIE: Hey! I ain't Marlena! Don't even think about compairing me to that blonde bimbo.
TONY: Well, if you're not Marlena, then who are you?
HATTIE: Right, bigshot, I'm gonna tell you and get myself wacked?! Anyway, as you're DiMera's nephew, I figure I outta let you out of here. At least you did try hold him back when he tried to attack me for messin' up Dr. Marlena's face.
TONY: How many times, I am NOT André!
HATTIE: All right, whatever. Anyway, like I said, I better let you out of here. I saw this key at old DiMera's place. Figure that's the key to those chains you got 'round your wrists. I'll try and get it for ya, if you like.
TONY: Yes, that would be very helpful.

BRADY PUB
JOHN: So, she promised to help you get out of the shack?
TONY: Yes. But it took a little while. As you know, the DiMera Mansion isn't the easiest place to get into. Especially if you have enemies in there that you don't want to confront...

OLD SHACK - FLASHBACK
HATTIE: Well, looks like you were right, copycat. You ain't old DiMera's nephew.
TONY: You didn't say anything to him, or André, did you?
HATTIE: Nah, course not. I jut spied on them from the outside. Saw André talkin' to some guy in a sharp suit. Looks like they were plannin' somethin'.
TONY: So, what are you doing here? Did you get the key yet?
HATTIE: I'm here to check up on you. I promise, I'll let you out as soon as I get the key. Unfortunately, I won't be able to get the key until André is out of the Mansion, and it doesn't look like he'll be leaving anytime soon.
TONY: No, I wouldn't think so. He and Stefano have must have some elaborate plan of what they're going to do with me...

BRADY PUB
TONY: But, then, a few days later, she was able to get the key. Then, she came to let me out. She unlocked the right-hand chain, but André killed her before she got the chance to do the left-hand. Fortunately, the key had flown from her hand into mine. I quickly hid it from view and André, thinking there was no possible way of me escaping, left. Then I unlocked the chains around my left wrist and got out to check on Hattie, who I still thought was Marlena. Then, you came in, told me that that woman I was talking to wasn't Marlena...
JOHN: I think I know the story from here.
TONY: Oh, yes. Of course. But, now it's your turn. So, tell me, how did you know that Hattie wasn't Marlena?
