Chapter 46 KIRIAKIS MANSION PHILIP: We have some things to discuss. PARKER: Such as? PHILIP: You. Many years ago, after you were born, I did a D.N.A. test to see whose child you really were. PARKER: So, you've known all along. PHILIP: Yes. PARKER: Why didn't you tell me? PHILIP: I wanted to. But, Chloe wanted to stay with Daniel. Knowing that she had a child with me would have led to her leaving Daniel to be with me. And, I was with Melanie. Plus, Chloe wouldn't have believed me. By this point, I was "the enemy", and she didn't believe in D.N.A. tests anymore. PARKER: I should have lived with you! PHILIP: I know. And I'm sorry that I didn't tell you. I should have. But, please, don't be mad at your mother. She had no way of knowing. Not really. And now we need to talk about my death. PARKER: What about it? PHILIP: I need you to go to the Pier. Take a napkin and a plastic bag. There will be a gun there. Don't touch it with your hands. Pick it up with the napkin and put it in the bag. PARKER: What do I need it for? PHILIP: I'm getting to that. Take the bag with the gun in it to the police station. Give it to Bo. Tell him that it might be the weapon used to kill me and Melanie. And suggest that you think it was a DiMera who killed me. PARKER: Was it a DiMera? PHILIP: Yes. But, if you tell them who it was, they'll never believe you. PARKER: Who was it? PHILIP: André DiMera. But, he's been thought dead for a long long time. So, nobody will believe you if you tell them that it was him. Philip started fading. PARKER: No! Wait! You can't go! PHILIP: I have to. I'm sorry that we couldn't spend more time together! PARKER: But, I need you, Dad! I love you! PHILIP: I love you too, son. And we will see each other again someday. Take care of your mother and sister. Philip vanished. PARKER: Sister? What sister? |

So glad though that he was able to tell Parker about Andre and let's hope the Keystone Kops, I mean the SPD can track him down.

Chapter 47 My name is Giovanni DiMera, though for some reason, everyone insists on calling me Johnny. You know, when I started out, this was fun. It was great getting revenge on those who had wronged me, particularly my sister. Or, at least, I thought it was fun. But then, things happened and it wasn't as fun anymore. This is an account of my last few days as a free man.POLICE STATION Parker did just as he had been told. He found the weapon and gave it to the Salem PD. A few days later, Bo and Shane got the results. BO: You've gotta be kidding me. SHANE: Apparently not. BO: How did we miss this? SHANE: Well, it was easy to miss, wasn't it? We thought he was dead, everyone did. How were we supposed to know that he had come back from the dead again? BO: Well, you know what this means? SHANE: We arrested the wrong man. BO: Yeah. If André committed this crime, there's no doubt he committed or at least orchestrated the others. SALEM PRISON Mike and Robin were visiting Jeremy again. JEREMY: I swear, I didn't do it. I know I've messed up big time before. But, do you guys really think I would murder somebody? ROBIN: Honestly? No. MIKE: We both know that no Horton is capable of murder. But it doesn't look good. JEREMY: I've been set up! Bo entered. BO: He's telling the truth. He's been set up. JEREMY: Thank you. Wait, what? Bo got out his keys and opened the door to Jeremy's cell. BO: A D.N.A. test on the most recent weapon showed that the killer is André DiMera, a known serial killer. Since he committed this crime, it's likely that he committed the one you were in jail for. JEREMY: Well, that's nice. I'm out. ROBIN: Jeremy, wait. Your father and I are taking a break from our work in Africa. Your grandfather has more than enough help there. We're taking a trip. And, we were thinking that this would be a good way for us all to spend some time together. So, please, come with us. Jeremy thought about it. JEREMY: Okay. Jeremy, Mike, and Robin hugged. |

Chapter 48 DIMERA MANSION JOHNNY: So, you're going to the funeral tomorrow? ANDÉ: Yes. I suppose you could come along, if you'd like. JOHNNY: Sounds good. There's just one thing I'm confused about. ANDRÉ: And what would that be? JOHNNY: If you go to the funeral, won't people know that it's you? ANDRÉ: Not necessarily. For you see, I won't be going as myself, but as your real uncle, my dear cousin, Tony. JOHNNY: How are you gonna pull that off? ANDRÉ: Easily. Tony and I have the same face. Stefano arranged for me to have surgeries years ago so that I could take over Tony's life. The only difficult part will be resisting the urge to kill every single Brady in sight. SAMI & LUCAS' APARTMENT Will and Lucas were getting things together for the funeral, which was tomorrow. WILL: Still hard to believe. LUCAS: Yeah, I know. WILL: How's Allie? LUCAS: She's okay. Not great, but okay. WILL: And Sydney? LUCAS: She's having a harder time with this. WILL: Well, that makes sense. She and Grandma were close. Where is she? LUCAS: The Penthouse. She wanted to stay with John for a few days. PENTHOUSE It is now late at night. John was still up, reading a book. After a little while, he heard a noise. He looked up and saw Sydney walking down the stairs. He put his book down. JOHN: Hey kid. SYDNEY: Hey. JOHN: Shouldn't you be sleeping? SYDNEY: I can't sleep. JOHN: Come here. John patted his lap. Sydney walked over and sat on John's lap. John put his arms around her. JOHN: I know you're gonna miss your grandma. I'm gonna miss her, too. And you know that she loved you very much. SYDNEY (whispering): I know. JOHN: But, we're never gonna forget about her. John chuckled slightly. JOHN: She'd be kinda hard to forget. Sydney nodded. JOHN: And, we've got all these great memories of her. We can always think about those memories. Sydney nodded. JOHN: Now, I know tomorrow's gonna be hard. It's gonna be like hell. But, we'll get through it. Together. You and me. And Lucas, Will, Sami, and Allie. We'll get through this, and that's a fact. SYDNEY: Thanks, Grandpa. JOHN: You're welcome, kid. Now, try to get some sleep. We've got a long, hard day tomorrow. SYDNEY: Okay. JOHN: Hey. I love you. SYDNEY: I love you too, Grandpa. Sydney walked upstairs and went to bed. |
