Yeah and it seems like Days is way over budget with the cast and with the way the economy the way it is, most people, even actors, can't afford to take a cut in pay. It's really sad and I wish he was staying

I think there are actors like Rafe or Daniel that could go instead of losing Peter Reckell. I am absolutely disgusted that DAYS would rather him leave then these "other" less significant characters stay on. Clearly DAYS isn't doing the right thing or they are playing favorites with certain people. I am not referring to SC either.

IA and they definitely need to trim the cast. It's bloated and too large. I am sad that PR is going. What a damn shame. I have watched Bope since I was a kid.

Did Peter Reckell’s Wife, Kelly Moneymaker Confirm His Exit from DAYS?

The soap world is all a twitter today, and that’s an understatement! It seems that tweets late last night from the very talented Kelly Moneymaker, wife of Days of our Lives star, Peter Reckell confirmed his exit from the series. As fans know, Reckell has been in contract negotiations and had already told many of his co-stars he was planning on leaving the series.

During some twitter conversation with fans Kelly wrote, “Hard to say goodbye to characters who’ve been on 4ever!! Hard 2 believe Bo will be one of those shortly! I hope the Bope fans will follow his new adventures & works! He always inspires me!!!”

So if this is the end of the line for Reckell’s Bo Brady, how do you soapers feel about that? Would you recast the role? Or, let Bo be written off the canvas? Let us know!

I'd prefer they'd written Bo and Hope out together but she just renewed her contract.

Maybe finally Hope can get a new man. I know many love Bo and Hope. But I always thought the fact they were always stuck together held them back as characters. I enjoyed them both so much more when they were involved with others.

Bo & Hope are part of my younger Days of watching the show with my Mother. I just wonder what will happen to Bo. He was recast once with RKK. I actually liked RKK as Bo, but it's been so many years since that Bo to me now is only Peter.

Peter Reckell Leaving Days of Our Lives

Rumors of Peter Reckell's Days of Our Lives exit have apparently been confirmed by his wife, Kelly Moneymaker. Moneymaker has been tweeting back and forth with fans about the dismal Days news.

"Hard to say goodbye to characters who've been on 4ever!! Hard 2 believe Bo will be one of those shortly!" said Moneymaker via Twitter. "What's Hope gonna do without him? And Ciara? Gonna be interesting..."

Later, Moneymaker added: "I hope the Bope fans will follow [Peter's] new adventures & works! He always inspires me!!!"

An inside source reports that Reckell is scheduled to tape his last scenes on July 22, keeping him on the air through Fall.

Will Bo's exit story live up to fans' expectations? Viewers will have to stay tuned to find out.

This really sounds like a last minute ploy by Peter and his wife to get him a better contract than what TPTB want to give him. He probably figures he could do what James Scott did and get all his fans together and have them protest over at Days in order to keep him. It is being rumored that he was asked to take a really big pay cut and he didn't want to.

That would be a great send-off for Bo. He can go to prison a hero, and that leaves the door open for Bo to return after serving his time.

I can't stand Hope without Bo. Unless she's nighttime home and has Dr. Baker around, then she's vaguely interesting.
