Soap Opera Digest has learned that DAYS's überpopular Peter Reckell (Bo) has been quietly informing castmates that he is leaving the show. The actor, who first came to Salem in 1983 and quickly shot to superstardom, has reportedly been in protracted talks with the soap to work out a new deal. Hmmm. I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, Bo and Hope ARE Days and it's nice to have families stay on the show. On the other hand, he doesn't have much storyline and I can't really see where they could go with the character. On another hand (yes, I have more than 2), I don't miss him when he's gone so if he leaves for good, ok. On yet another hand, they'd better do right by him exit-wise.
So to sum up - Sad, but ok.

The thing about this is- of he's really leaving than it makes me nervous to find out who else is leaving. Because I'm sure he's not alone.
I like Bo and Hope- but not when they don't have anything to do. I hate watching them in a stupid story- playing cops. It annoys me.
So I agree with dancingdays- it will be sad- but I can't say I will miss him.

I will miss him if this turns out to be true. Bo and Hope are what brought me to Days and I would be disappointed if he weren't on the show.

If the older characters keep leaving Days, who is going to be left?? Days can't survive with just the youngsters. If anyone is going to leave, why can't it be Allison Sweeney?? I have never liked Sami and I never will and I hope and pray that she leaves soon and takes her drama with her.

I'm sure he'll stick around especially now with the changes. He is a franchise player.
There are number of older characters that need to be retired before Bo. Bo is still viable.

If the older characters keep leaving Days, who is going to be left?? Days can't survive with just the youngsters. If anyone is going to leave, why can't it be Allison Sweeney?? I have never liked Sami and I never will and I hope and pray that she leaves soon and takes her drama with her. You can't depend on the young people to carry the show as most of them tend to leave after their first contract expires. Some return but others don't. |

Her manipulations and crying do get old, but at least she is entertaining part of the time. Carrie (thank goodness she's leaving) is just boring. Sami is one that I semi-root for one minute and then want to b***h slap the next. |

I want Peter Reckell or Bo to stay on Days because he and Hope are DOOLS. If we lose all the Vets where is the history. I think it would totally send Days into a tailspin it will not recover from. I am honestly wanting this to be a contract negotiation problem and Days would be crazy not to settle. Just my opinion.

I don't much mind Peter Reckell,but I'm no fan of Bo,so it really won't bother me if he goes.If he does though,can he take Hope with him?
