My poor baby reminds me of the time he saw Chloe and Brady talking and chopped down the tree with their initials "P & C Forever" Chloe didn't leave you she was kidnapped. I can't wait til he finds out I wonder how he will find out. I can't wait to read MORE!

Ohhhh Philip. You are not using your brain that God gave you. Think about it Philip. Gus is still on the lose. Chloe would not leave the baby with someone she does not know to go shopping. She and you were so happy in the morning. My heart goes out to him. Thanks for the extra chapter. Looking forward to tomorrow. Wonder if the chapter will be there if I log in just after midnight??? THE LAKE HOUSE

Philip woke up to the sound of pounding at the door, which matched the pounding inside his head. He groggily lifted himself off the couch trying to get oriented. He felt the stickiness of his clothes and remembered getting drunk. Then he remembered the note and was reminded of the knife that was stuck through his heart. He gradually got up, stumbled to the door and opened it. Brady walked in.
Brady: Where the hell have you been?
Philip: What are you talking about?
Brady: We had a major presentation this morning and you were … what … sleeping off a bender?
The sound of Wesley crying disrupts their conversation and Philip heads upstairs with Brady on his heels. Philip enters Wesley’s room and lifts Wesley out of his toddler bed. He methodically puts him on the changing table and proceeds to dress him.
Brady: What’s going on? Where’s Chloe?
Philip: I’ll tell you in a minute.
Brady: Why can’t you tell me now?
Philip glares at Brady.
Philip: In a minute!
Brady tags along as Philip makes Wesley his breakfast in the kitchen. Neither man says a word. Exasperated, Brady goes into the living room and makes a call using his cell phone.
Brady: Hey, listen, I’m at Philip’s place. … Something’s up. … No, I have no idea what it is but he’s acting scary. … I don’t know where she is, but I don’t think she’s here. … Can you come over? Great.
Philip has put Wesley in the playpen in his room and he comes back downstairs. Brady is sitting in an armchair. There’s a knock at the door.
Philip: What now?
He opens the door to Lucas who walks in without waiting to be asked.
Philip: What are you doing here?
Lucas: Brady called me. What the hell is going on?
Philip is silent.
Lucas: You look like hell man. Did you sleep in your clothes? You haven’t shaven, your hair’s a mess, you smell like a saloon...
Philip: Good to see you too.
Brady: I asked Lucas to come over because I’m worried about you.
Lucas: Tell us, man. What’s going on?
Philip pours himself a glass of scotch as Lucas and Brady make eye contact. Philip plops on the couch.
Philip: Chloe left me.
Brady: What???
Lucas: You’re kidding me.
Philip: She left me for another man.
Brady and Lucas: Ohhhh.

I love it when these guys get together!! But I still can't believe that Philip actually thinks Chloe left him for another man. It's not possible.

I loved Lucas walking in and telling Philip how bad he looked. I'm glad Brady called him. I love the three of them together too. I can hardly wait to see what the guys say to Philip.

So glad that three of them are together. Philip needs help right now. I am shocked that Philip thinks that Chloe left him for another man. I thought he would start using his brain by now. So like Lucas to tell Philip straight out how bad he looks. Can we have some previews please it is going to be a long weekend. Thanks for the chapter Kpatch.

Philip tends to be an insecure guy because he often ended up losing out to the other guy in his relationships. Chloe leaving him is his worst fear, and now he has Brady and Lucas sitting there as living examples of Chloe's relationship history. Poor Philip.

I love how despite being scared and heartbroken he's still taking care of his child! That's a man! Can't wait til he finds out the truth! This story is really getting good I can't wait to read MORE!

I'm not sure that Brady and Lucas are the right guys for that job. Especially Lucas.
