Boy it takes till Friday for the boys to get a clue that Chloe was kidnapped. LOL is the clue a ransom note??? Just guessing. Poor Chloe I bet she is upset that Philip is not looking for her. Hope this does not harm the baby with all the stress she is under. Thanks for the previews Kpatch. Next week sounds great.

SOMEWHERE IN ASIA

Chloe wakes up on a cot, her head feeling fuzzy as if she’s been drugged. She is in a large room that looks like an army barracks. There are rows of cots and almost each one has a young girl in it. Most of the girls look Asian. One of the girls is screaming as she is being led away by a burly-looking man prodding her with a nightstick. Chloe is sure she’s having one hell of a weird dream and is hoping she’ll wake up from it soon. She feels a hand grip her upper arm and pull her to her feet. The man holding her arm shouts something in a foreign language and pokes her with the nightstick. He leads her into an office where an older Asian man is sitting. The escort closes the door and stands guard. The older man starts speaking in broken English.

Older man: You are a pretty one.
Chloe: Oh thank god you speak English. Where am and what am I doing here?
Older man: Silence! I did not say you are allowed to speak.
Chloe: But …

The older man addresses the escort and the escort nods and leaves.
Older man: You are in Bangkok. But you will not be here for long. This is a holding place. A trading place. We will get good money for you and you will leave us.
Chloe: Good money? You plan to sell me? That’s illegal.

The guard comes back and nods to the older man. The older man presses a button on the phone that’s on his desk and a female voice comes through the speakerphone.
Voice: Hello Chloe. Remember me?
Terror comes over Chloe’s face as everything starts to make sense.
Chloe: Oh my god. Kate!

THE LAKE HOUSE

Philip is continuing to drown his sorrows as Brady and Lucas are at his side for support.
Lucas: We know how you feel, man.
Brady: Yeah, if there’s anyone who knows how you feel, it’s us, especially Lucas.
Philip: It just doesn’t make any sense. I mean we were happy. Not just happy. We were blithful.
Lucas: I think he means blissful. Hey, that’s what I thought too. Then Daniel comes along.
Brady: That’s so Chloe.
Philip: But … We’re having another baby.
Lucas: Are you sure it’s yours?
Philip snaps at Lucas.
Philip: Yes of coure it’s mine! I mean ... no. I don’t know.
Brady: Hey, how long were you guys married?
Philip: A year and a half. Something like that. Minus the three months I had amnesia.
Lucas: See, a year and half…that’s a record for Chloe. That’s something you can be proud of.
Brady [mumbling]: Not quite a record.
Philip: Proud? I feel like sh!t. I thought she loved me. Truly and … deeply.
Philip’s mind wanders off as he remembers driving to the lake with Chloe when they were 16 years old -- the night he carved their initials in the tree.

Chloe: So do we have enough gas to get there?
Philip: I don’t know.
Chloe: Well how far do we have to go?
Philip: Some ways.
Chloe: You’re not gonna tell me a thing, are you?
Philip: If I told you where we were going, then it…
Chloe: I know, I know … it wouldn’t be a surprise. But surprises are way overrated. I mean Vesuvius was a surprise. Botulism is a surprise.
Philip: That’s what I just love about you so much. You’re so sunny! [They laugh.] Okay, I’ll tell you. The surprise isn’t botulism and we’re not going to be buried in lava.
Chloe [jokingly]: I hate you. “Truly and deeply.” [She cuddles up to him.]

Back in the living room, Philip comes out of his stupor.
Philip: But even if she doesn’t love me anymore, there’s Wes. How could she leave him after the way she herself grew up? It doesn’t make sense. None of this makes sense. I thought we were solid this time.
Brady: It’s just an illusion. Happiness, I mean. It’s just an illusion.
Philip: No, you’re wrong. You have no idea what … what we had, me and Chloe. We had something … “special” doesn’t even begin to describe it. Damn her! I hate her guts. [He covers his face with his hands.] Oh god, I love her so much.
Lucas: Easy, Philip. We’re here for you, man. We’re gonna see you through this. You and Wesley.
