Great chapter Kpatch. I liked the twitter mention since we know Nadia is active there. I love the way Philip looks at the safe house as an opportunity for the three of them to just be together without other obligations or distractions. I really liked Philip pointing out that of course there's music since Chloe is with him. I loved her singing their song as they danced.

THE SAFE HOUSE
As Chloe finishes singing the last word of the song, “you,” she looks at Philip and her lips are pursed and look poised for a kiss and Philip can’t resist. His lips attach to hers in a long, sensual kiss. As their lips separate, Philip whispers to her.
Philip: Thanks for the song.
Chloe: Thanks for the dance.
Philip: I don’t know how you can possibly think there’s nothing to do here. I’m here. You can always do me.
Chloe smiles.
Chloe: Well, when you put it that way...
Philip gets down on the floor in front of the fireplace and pulls Chloe down with him. She kisses his lips again and again and he leans her back until she’s laying on the floor.
Chloe: This floor is hard.
Philip: So am I.
Chloe laughs and touches Philip.
Chloe: Yes you are.
She holds her arms out beckoning Philip to join her. He falls into her embrace and they continue kissing and making out.
Chloe: There’s no blanket.
Philip: Give me a minute to take your mind off all the creature comforts you’re missing.
Chloe: Mmm. Take your time. I’m in no rush.
Philip puts his hand under the bottom of Chloe’s sweater blouse and unbuttons her jeans. She wriggles out of them and then obliges Philip to shed his pants.
Philip: Ouch. You’re right. This floor is hard.
Chloe: Don’t tell me we’re turning into an old married couple.
Philip: You and me? Not a chance.
He takes off his shirt and helps Chloe pull her sweater over her head and sees she went braless today. He looks at her body which shows signs of being cold.
Philip: You cold?
Chloe nods.
Philip: You won’t be in a minute.
Philip puts his arms around her and moves his body onto hers so that their skin is touching, sharing body heat. He kisses her lips and her neck, and as his fingertips roll over her breasts, she molds her hips into his.
Philip: Still cold?
Chloe: Mmm mmm. Keep it up. You’re getting me warmer. Mmmuch warmer.

THE SAFE HOUSE, TWO MONTHS LATER
It’s raining one afternoon and Philip is giving his son a piggyback ride.
Chloe: Be careful you don’t throw your back out.
Philip: I don’t care. Do you hear this kid laughing?
Chloe: You should see his face. I wish I had a camera.
Philip: My parents never did this with me and I always said that if I ever had a kid, I’d do normal stuff like this.
Chloe: I can’t imagine Victor ever … Nevermind.
Philip slides Wesley off his back and turns over. He scoops up Wesley as the two of them remain seated on the floor. Philip rests his chin on top of Wesley’s head.
Philip: I hope they’re alive. I know that’s crazy, but I can’t bear the thought that I might be responsible for their death.
Chloe: Honey, I know you feel that way, but …
Philip: Alive or dead, they still torment us. Either way, we have no peace. I mean, what kind of people do that?
Chloe: Evil people. People who never really loved anyone. It’s amazing you have as much love in your heart as you do when your parents had ice water in their veins.
There’s a knock at the door and it’s Bo and Hope. Philip puts Wesley down and opens the door. Hope gives Chloe a hug and hands her something.
Philip: No care package? That must mean you have news.
Bo: I do. We’ve got them. They’re in the states and they’re in custody.
Chloe goes over to Philip and hugs him.
Chloe: Thank god.
Philip: Custody … where?
Hope: Illinois State Penitentiary.
Bo: The Big House. But …
Philip: What?
Bo: There’s going to be a trial. If there’s any hope of putting them away, we need your testimony. Both of you.
Philip: But … then I’ll have to tell the jury that I locked them away. That probably won’t sit well with most people.
Bo: You’re not the one on trial and I’m pretty sure you can’t incriminate yourself if you claim fifth amendment protection. Justin would know more about that than me. The good news is, you won’t have to stay here much longer. … What’s wrong? I thought you’d be happy to hear that.

I'm glad they finally have news on Victor and the gang. I can't blame Philip for being nervous about having to testify. It was sweet to see Philip and Wesley playing together. I loved Chloe commenting about how loving Philip is despite his parents having ice water in their veins. So true.
I wonder what Hope gave Chloe. She didn't open up the bag in front of everyone.

I loved this chapter and as much as I hate Kate and Victory I'm glad they're still alive I know Philip really couldn't live with himself if they died. I also love that he's such a wonderful father! Great story girl can't wait to hear MORE!
