Great story....the funniest part was when there was a brief, one sentence, description of the day long search of the Horton house, singing etc. but detailed dialogue of ordering Chinese food...!!!! Gosh, I love your stories...!!!! What a wonderful mind you have...!!
Looks like the ending will be very interesting......

Someone should tell Carly and Melanie that Maggie is a Horton by MARRIAGE. She is not a Horton by blood...thank goodness. I can't stand that family.

HORTON TOWN SQUARE
Bo: You said there were several reasons you made fools of us. What were the other reasons?
Carly: I ... I wanted to knock princess Hope off her high horse.
Hope: Excuse me?
Carly: Come on, Hope, you live a charmed life. The Hortons are practically royalty ...
Hope: ... Says Princess Katarina Von Leuschner.
Carly: And I wanted to bring the Hortons down to everyone else’s level and prove that Alice wasn’t as saintly as you say.
Hope: Shut your freaking mouth you fargin’ bitch. How dare you speak about Gran that way!
Bo: There’s more to it, isn’t there, Princess?
Carly: Well yes. There was the revenge aspect.
Bo: Revenge? For what?
Carly: Hope got you. She got the guy. Hell, she got the guy I wanted.
Hope: He’s not that big a prize. Want him back?
Bo: Hey!
Hope: Lighten up, Brady. I was just joking.
Victor: But there was a DNA test that proves Daniel is Maggie’s son.
Carly: Oh that. I bribed the lab technician to falsify the results.
Hope: What about the man who put the key in the plaque?
Carly: Bribe.
Maggie: What about the lawyer, Erin Hewitt?
Carly: Bribe.
Bo: And the banker?
Carly: Bribe.
Abigail: And the candlestick maker?
Victor: Where did you get the money for the bribes?
Carly: Oh um gee well. From Melanie, who got it in a divorce settlement. She gives me a nice allowance. So essentially the money came from you, Victor.
Victor: I’ll be damned.
Carly: I hope so.
Bo: So Carly, what was the connection to Africa? How did the funds wind up there?
Carly: That’s where I’ve been living for the past few months. Jennifer helped me get a job working with her father in his clinic in Africa. Since my license was revoked in Illinois and I required recertification in the other 45 states, I couldn’t practice medicine here anymore.
Bo: 47.
Carly: What?
Bo: There are a total of 48 states now.
Hope rolled her eyes and raised an eyebrow.
Hope: So you’ve been working in Africa with my Uncle Bill?
Carly: Yes I have. And he’s quite a fox, by the way.
Hope: I know.
Melanie: I know.
Bo: I know.
Julie and Doug: We know.
Carly: But I actually did return briefly around Halloween. I donned a costume and followed Jennifer around the Square for a while.
Jennifer: What??? That was you, not Jack?
Julie: Wait, what about the Stefano connection?
Carly: That was just dumb luck.
Jennifer: What???
Carly: You all started questioning him and he took advantage of the opportunity. I’m guessing he was just playing along for the fun of it. He had nothing to do with any of this.
Maggie: Daniel, Melanie, I’m going to need you to return your Christmas ornaments.
Doug: Anyone want Chinese? I’m buying.

LOL. Love the ending. Especially Maggie telling Daniel & Melanie they have to return their Christmas ornaments. Can't wait for the next jkjpatch masterpiece.

Perfect ending Kpatch. I love Maggie telling Daniel and Melanie to return their Christmas ornaments. Now that was a fun way to use Carly in a story. Also loved that everyone knows Uncle Bill is a fox!
