I'm glad Maggie was there for Nicole, too... Daniel was the love of her life and she had so much of the future to look forward to. I hope she can support Sarah and Xander's marriage.

Chapter 469b
“Not long ago, I bought a wedding dress from David’s Bridal,” Nicole told Maggie. A sob escaped her throat when she added, “and I never got to wear it.”
“Oh honey.”
“And the day before Daniel died, Chloe convinced me to have the wedding out by the lake at the far end of the grounds. We were gonna rent a gazebo and it was going to be so romantic and picturesque.”
“And Sarah’s plans brought back all those memories.”
With a nod, Nicole said, “It’s not like they’re ever that far away, but yeah, she’s having the wedding I wanted. Not that she’s not entitled to a beautiful day. Even if it is Xander she’s marrying.”
Maggie clasped Nicole’s hand between hers. “I miss Daniel too. And I miss Victor. But life goes on and you’re right, my Sarah deserves to be happy.” Maggie tilted her head, urging Nicole to look at her. “You deserve to be happy too, and I believe you will find love again. Maybe with Rafe?”
“I wish I loved him,” Nicole answered. “Besides, it’s too soon for me to get involved in a serious relationship. I’m not ready.”
“Believe me, I understand. Just don’t hide yourself behind a black curtain for too long. You’re still young and beautiful and you have a full life ahead of you.”
“I have Holly,” Nicole reminded her.
“She is such a blessing.”
“Hey Mom,” Sarah said as she returned to the living room. Her brow knit. “Everything okay here?”
Maggie put on a big smile. “Absolutely.”
“Um Nicole, I’m glad you’re still here. I was hoping to get a chance to ask if you’d be my Maid of Honor.”
Nicole rose from the sofa. “Me? Why me?”
“You would be my sister-in-law right now if my brother were still alive. Please say yes.”
“Oh Sarah. I’d be honored.” She gave Sarah a hug.
“Great!” Sarah reacted. “And if Holly were a little older, I’d want her to be my flower girl.”

Loved Maggie and Nicole’s talk! And that Sarah asked her to be a bridesmaid!

I'm glad that Sarah asked Nicole to be her maid of honor. Hopefully Nicole fits over her dislike of Xander enough to be fully supportive.

That was a nice sentiment I’m glad she asked and Nicole accepted Especially because she doesn’t have many close girlfriends and her and Chloe will need a patch up eventually It’s nice for her to have someone

It was nice of Nicole to agree to be Sarah's maid of honor. I hope being so involved in the wedding is not too upsetting for Nicole.

I'm glad that Sarah asked Nicole to be her Maid of Honor and that Nicole accepted. I just hope that Sarah's wedding plans don't end up fully mimicking the plans Nicole and Daniel were making.

Chapter 470a
Lying under the stars in a sleeping bag at a campground in Southeastern Kentucky, Parker said, “Daddy? On the way home, could we stop in Chicago and see Lucinda and James? And George?”
Philip smiled to himself. “I think that’s a great idea, Parker. I miss them too. We should make time to see Dr. Mary too,” he stated, remembering his promise to see her as well. “And if you want, we can go see a football game while we’re there. I still have those season tickets—” He almost said ‘that your mom gave me last Father’s Day,’ but he stopped himself. It was an amazing gift but it caused him to cry that day. His father was dying and he was thrust into the CEO role in Salem and he knew he wouldn’t have time to travel to games in Chicago. But somehow, they’d made time and one of those times was the night of the car accident. Seemed like things kept going from bad to worse.
“You have the tickets with you?” Parker asked.
“I do. I thought ahead and brought a few sets of tickets for us.”
Parker smiled big. “And we can stay at the condo while we’re in Chicago!”
Philip frowned. “Um. Actually, we can’t.”
“Why not?”
“Xander is staying in the condo because it’s close to Titan’s Chicago office.”
“So? He won’t mind if we stay there too.”
Philip sighed deeply. “Someone else is staying there also.”
“Who??”
He remembered his promise to always be honest with Parker, so he said, “Your mom.”
“Mommy’s living with Xander? I thought he was marrying Sarah.”
“He is. Xander and your mom are just … well, I guess you’d call them roommates.”
“Wait a minute. You told me you didn’t know where she was.”
“I didn’t know when I told you that. I found out later.”
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“I should have told you. I guess I thought I was protecting you.”
Parker folded his arms. “I don’t need protecting. I’m a big boy.”
“Yes you are, but I still think of you as a little kid. I probably always will.” Philip’s words echoed in his head and he flashed to a memory of his mother saying, “You will always be my baby no matter how old you are.” The last person he wanted to be like in any way was his mother.
“Doesn’t mommy ever want to see me?” Parker asked.

So glad Philip told Parker the truth, though I’m curious how he’ll answer that last question.

I'm curious, too!
I like Nicole being Sarah's maid of honor, and her reason why. I'm also glad that Nicole found a family with Maggie/Sarah. She's always needed that sort of unconditional love. I agree that she's not ready for a relationship, especially with Rafe.
