I’m surprised he didn’t tell her what Philip almost did
Might scare some sense back into her
He almost did it at the thought of losing her

I am glad he didn’t tell her because it is not his place. This is something that Philip needs to tell her, if he decides to!

Hey all. Thanks a million for keeping up with this story and continuing to show interest. Here’s a little peek at the coming week.
-It’s an all-Xander week as he and Chloe finish up their conversation for now.
-Despite Chloe’s request to keep this between them, Xander has to decide who else should know she’s there. Who do you think he will contact?

I'm glad Xander updated Chloe about Titan. I hope she gives a lot of thought to everything Xander is saying. Thanks for the previews Kpatch. I'm looking forward to more of Xander and Chloe's conversation. |

Chapter 452d
“If you don’t mind me saying, I think you should go back to him.” Chloe shot Xander a look and he said, “Did I overstep?”
“It’s not that,” Chloe replied. “The life we had is over. I need to accept that.”
“You say that. Yet here you are living in the home you shared with Philip,” Xander observed.
“It’s just temporary. I found a job and I’m going to get my own place and you can have the condo to yourself.”
“It’s just temporary for me too. One of us may as well get use out of it.”
Chloe stared off into space. “We were going to come back here,” she murmured.
“Who?”
“Me, Philip, Parker. When we moved back to Salem, we decided to keep the condo so we could visit Chicago sometimes. All our plans, our dreams. They’re gone.”
“They don’t have to be.”
Chloe did a double take. “You sounded just like Philip when you said that.”
“I’ll take that as a compliment.” He leaned away a little to look at her. “So, you remember moving back to Salem? Last I heard, your memory was sketchy.”
“It’s still a little sketchy, but I remember most things. I think. I guess I wouldn’t know what I don’t remember.” She shook herself before she went to an even darker place. “Let’s talk about something else. How are things with you and Sarah? Someone else who hates me. Why wouldn’t she hate me? I’m responsible for her brother’s death too.”
“Sarah doesn’t hate you. Not now that she knows what really happened. Did you know we’re engaged?”
“I didn’t know that. Congratulations. I’m happy for you. Honestly. Must be hard with you working in Chicago while she’s in Salem.”
“It’s awful, being apart like this. But I imagine my days are numbered now that Shin has control of Titan. He’ll probably get around to firing me eventually. Speaking of work, I’d better get to bed.”
“Um. Where’s ‘bed’?” Chloe asked. “Because I’m using the master bedroom.”
“I sleep in the guest bedroom,” Xander clarified. “Didn’t seem right taking over the owner’s suite when I’m not the owner.”
He rose to his feet and Chloe looked up at him. “Xander, can you please not tell anyone where I am. I just can’t deal with—”
“I understand,” Xander said sympathetically.
Chloe forced a smile. “I want you to know that if anyone had to walk through that door tonight, I’m glad it was you.”
“Better than a burglar, eh?” he quipped. “Sleep well, love.”

Chapter 453a
Late that night, after Chloe had gone to bed, Xander stepped out onto the terrace and quietly closed the door behind him. He started to dial Sarah but changed his mind. He hit another set of numbers and held the phone to his ear. “Mate!”
Philip’s voice came through the phone. “Xander, what’s up?”
“Am I on speaker?” Xander asked.
“Yeah, why?”
“I have something private to discuss.”
Philip looked at Parker who turned over in his bed in the RV but didn’t wake up. They were parked at an RV campground in Orlando. “Just a minute,” he said into the phone. He grabbed his hoodie, then opened the door to the camper and stepped outside. He leaned his ear on the phone on one shoulder while he put his arms through the sleeves of the jacket. “Okay, I can talk now,” Philip stated.
“Do you know where Chloe is?”
“No.” Philip sat down on one of the steps of the RV and sighed. “I didn’t feel like talking about it when you and Maggie came by the day before Christmas, but Chloe left us and frankly, I don’t really care where she is.”
“Ha. I don’t believe that for a second, Mate.”
“Okay, you’re right. I wish I did know, but not for me—for Parker. I wish she’d get in touch for his sake. He really misses her. Why’d you ask?”
“Because I do know where she is.”
Philip’s brow knit. “Where?”
“Here.”
“Where’s here?”
“Here, Mate. Down the hall. In your condo.”
Philip rose to his feet. “She’s there in the condo with you?”
“Don’t get your knickers in a twist,” Xander whined. “I’m a one-woman man these days. She’s in her bedroom—yours and hers. And I’m in mine down the hall—the guest bedroom. Well, right now I’m on the terrace. I don’t want her to know I’m calling you. She made me promise not to tell anyone she’s here, but my allegiance is to you.”
“Thanks, I appreciate that. When did she show up?”
“She was here tonight when I got back from Salem after the holidays. She says she’s got a job and she’s going to get her own place soon.”
Philip sighed audibly. “Thanks for letting me know.”
“What are you gonna do about it?”
“Nothing. You just said she doesn’t want me to know where she is.”
“Yeah, but you do know. She’s a mess.”
“I know,” Philip replied.
“So, get your ass down here and talk some sense into her.”

I wonder what Philip will do
Chloe isn’t making it easy
She needs psychiatric help but because of her history won’t cooperate
Philip can’t really do anything
You can’t help someone who doesn’t want to be helped
It isn’t healthy for Parker at all but Chloe needs to figure it out cuz she needs to snap out of it
She’s basically lost Philip but Parker over time won’t forgive her, and not for the deaths that resulted in a tragedy but for walking out when he needed her most

Can’t say I am surprised that Xander called Philip and not surprised by Philip’s reaction. Can’t wait to see the continued conversation between Xander & Chloe.

I'm happy that Xander listened to his conscience rather than Chloe's plea.
The ball is in Philip's court. However, if Philip chooses to stay away, I really wouldn't blame him.
