I notice that Melanie's mind often drifts to that life raft. She is obviously haunted by all the memories of the night of the accident. I wonder if she's really sick, or if she is making herself sick by not eating or sleeping. Is there something else going on, Slyn?
As far as the new wrinkle, it's a tough situation indeed. Very painful and I've been in this situation as well. I know Melanie loves Philip, but I think this shows her immaturity. It's really not her decision to make. It's Philip's. That's why he drew up a living will. He made his choice and the family needs to honor his wishes. Although, truth be told, I wouldn't want to let him go either.

Unfortunately it's not her decision to make. It doesn't surprise me that Philip wouldn't want to live that way. His age is what makes it so much more difficult. He's young and has so much to live for.
Melanie is going to end up in the hospital if she doesn't take better care of herself.

It is such a tough situation. I think Melanie feels that Philip wouldn't have wanted the will to stand now. It was drafted a few years back. And of course there is the selfish side of love...and Melanie doesn't want to let go of him. Kate seems to be feeling the same.
Next update Chloe finds out. Should be interesting to see how she feels.

Another trip to the Towers Hotel...I love that place. I wanted to give Chloe a moment to reminsce before I throw her back into the pit with Melanie. Also I missed Philip...I wanted him to come out and play for a bit.
So was it the wine? His pain? Or just that Philip is sexy as hell that made Chloe so caught up there?

I love the Towers Hotel too, and any chance for a Phloe recollection and heart-to-heart. I don't think it's the wine. I think it's the undertow. I think that there is just some magnetism when they're around each other, even at the lowest point in their lives, they are drawn to each other. He's joking about her spreading her legs in the midst of a major life crisis, caused by the spreading of said legs. I think they can just let their hair down and not put up a false front when they're around each other. They're best friends. They also have the past to draw from and that's a great comfort to both of them. They know what happened in the past. They don't know what will happen in the future. Chloe admitted that Philip broke her heart, but quickly changed the subject. And Philip seemed unaware of the reference. Was she talking about Morgan? |

They are always drawn back to each other. I love hearing Chloe's memories at the Towers Hotel. I'm glad that she had a chance to think of some happy memories before she finds out about the living will.

I could have written more commentary but it would have been pretty identical to Kpatch's comments. I'm really glad that we were able to spend time with Philip in this update even if it was a flashback. Thanks Slyn!

He is my absolute favorite to write, so I am going through with withdrawals. My favorite part, yep I have favorite parts even when I wrote it all, is when Chloe comes up behind him at the glass doors puts her arms around him and he turns and hugs her so tight. AWWW! |
