I could have written more commentary but it would have been pretty identical to Kpatch's comments. I'm really glad that we were able to spend time with Philip in this update even if it was a flashback. Thanks Slyn! Me too! I missed him. He is my absolute favorite to write, so I am going through with withdrawals. My favorite part, yep I have favorite parts even when I wrote it all, is when Chloe comes up behind him at the glass doors puts her arms around him and he turns and hugs her so tight. AWWW! I really liked that part too. I love that they are so comfortable with each other. I'm glad that she was able to make him feel a bit better. I'm glad she was there to tell him that he wasn't a bad person. I really liked it when she said that women would line up to be with him.

I love the Towers Hotel too, and any chance for a Phloe recollection and heart-to-heart. Recollect about their time at the hotel? No, I meant reminisce about their history. I really liked that he remembered a small detail like her hair getting lighter that summer at the lake, which caused him to touch her hair in the "present."

So I get asked questions quite often via PM, email and through my youtube account. I thought I would address some of those things here. And thanks so much to everyone that takes the time to send me messages. I love that you guys care enough to comment and ask questions.
1 – Your story is so sad. Will things ever get better?
Yes there will be happy to balance the pain. I am into angst and right now the story is in a life or death mode because Philip is ill and Chloe is facing being locked up. However, once that part of the story shifts, the angst will shift as well, to more of a romantic angst. Not quite as painful, but definitely still with the drama.
2 – You keep saying it is a true triangle, but do you have a favorite in this story?
I absolutely do. Philip.
3 – You are being so hard on Chloe. She left Parker outside, but he was found and wasn’t harmed. Can’t you cut her a break?
Nope. Neither would the law. I am trying to deal with this more realistically than the show did. She endangered and abandoned a child. There are consequences.
4 – Is Melanie really sick? Why does everyone keep saying she looks tired and why does she keep throwing up?
Care taking can take a toll on the body, especially if you neglect yourself. Looks like Melanie is more focused on Philip and Parker than her own well being at this point.
5 – Will Philip ever wake up?
Of course. As I said in question #2 he is my favorite. No story without him.
6 – Drew is hot. Will he get involved with Chloe? (also) Please don’t let Drew get involved with Chloe.
Drew is a dashing young man. He will be present throughout the entire story. Chloe has her hands full at the moment, do you think she has time to entertain yet another suitor?
7 – Are Melanie and Philip going to stay together? (also) Are Philip and Chloe going to become a couple?
Do you really want me to ruin the story by answering that? I will say this…it is a true triangle…and Philip is a giving guy…everybody gets a ride.
8 – Why isn’t Melanie being charged for causing the accident? (also) Why isn’t the family blaming her for the accident?
You will find out when Philip does.
Spoiler for chapter 6 – Father and son share a moment

It seemed like it was important to Chloe to pick a fight with Melanie. She baited her. I wonder why she wanted to do that. Was it just to get back at Melanie for the courtroom drama? It seemed like there was something deeper going on.
I was really glad to get the explanation of the castle mural. I also liked how you paralleled Melanie and Chloe's childhood experiences, which they momentarily bonded over.
I am wondering if the father-son moment you mentioned in the spoiler is between Victor and Philip or between Philip and Parker. I feel pretty confident that Philip is one of the two.

It was interesting to see Melanie and Chloe open up to each other briefly about their awful childhood experiences.
I am very curious about the father-son shared moment. It would be cool for Victor to bring Parker to see Philip.

I think that is so true. They do have much in common, including Philip. As far as her combative tone with Melanie...well she resents Melanie. On the one hand, she is glad her son is cared for, but on the other the person that is caring for him is in essence showing her up. Melanie is taking care of Parker and Philip, bonding with the Kiriakis'... has a home, a career, money, the ring (and his name)...her freedom. Chloe sees Melanie as having made just as many mistakes as she has, yet she is being rewarded while Chloe feels persecuted. The castle was the red flag,,, the light bulb moment for Chloe. It made her truly see what she had done to Parker....like looking into a mirror and seeing the ugliness within displayed. That was what the mural did for Chloe.

Billy Joel's song An Innocent Man has been going through my mind since I read the first part of Chapter 6.
So, is Philip really innocent, since all he was doing was commiserating with a close friend who was going through the same thing? Or was he guilty since he had been spending all this time with Chloe even though there was no sex? There was intimacy though. Did Philip owe it to Melanie to tell her he wasn't completely alone? Or, since they were separated, did he have no obligation to tell her?

When someone is divorcing you and wants nothing to do with you, I don't really think you owe them an explanation. I'd have a different opinion if a couple were going to counseling and actively trying to save their marriage. I think part of it also lies in the difference between men and women. For women emotional intimacy can be far more meaningful than sex. For men it's almost always the opposite.

Very interesting question!
Hmm do you mean tell her during the time they were at the hotel or during the crash? Melanie didn't even know he wasn't living at the mansion until the night of the accident.

I agree with Fluffysmom that since they were separated and divorcing Philip didn't have to tell Melanie anything. Also telling Melanie might not have helped his cause. I had him mention in a few of the Towers flashbacks that Melanie wasn't open to communication with him. She only called him around to verbally beat him down and throw Nathan in his face. She was lashing out, trying to hurt him...which Philip realized. I like to think he kept going over there to take it because he knew she needed to find that release somehow.
Although Philip did say he didn't care if Daniel or Melanie knew they were at the same hotel. So I don't think Philip thought there was anything "wrong" with what he and Chloe were doing. Men tend to compartmentalize.
Now when they crashed and they were doing true confessions...should he have brought it up? I don't know. He seemed to just want to make it clear that he WASN'T having an affair with Chloe more than anything else.
