That's true. Just before he and Chloe kissed on the night of the ONS, she said something to Philip that was huge. Chloe said "Melanie does not deserve you," which meant she's not good enough for him. That was pretty heady for Philip to hear. Here was one woman who meant a lot to him, telling him that he was too good for a woman he worshipped. Must have made him feel like a king in that moment.

Just posted chapter 4 part 5 -
We got a little deeper into Chloe's mind this time. Some interesting things in there I would say. I will have more in depth comments after the last part of chapter 4 is posted as to not give anything away.
So should Chloe continue her plan and try to run with Parker?
I wanted to share this song for the last update. I think this captures what Chloe is starting to realize about Philip and his place in her life. And really this song also captures how Melanie feels about Philip as well. So basically this is a song that defines how both women feel about Philip.
I tend to write with a soundtrack in mind. If this were on air there would be certain songs playing in the background. From time to time I will probably share a few of those songs here. Just letting you in on where my head is at...

I am so curious about Chloe's connection to the picture of the castle. Apparently it means something to her beyond what it means to Melanie, Kate, and Maggie. There is some deep association she has with it and I want to know what it is.
Great song lyrics, Slyn. Very powerful.

I am very curious about Chloe's powerful response to the castle mural too. The more we see of the flashbacks to the hotel the more devastating Philip's absence feels for Chloe.

The castle means something to more than just Chloe.

Since you said that, I am guessing it means something to Philip too.
I just had a flash to when he serenaded her, like a prince serenading a princess. And he climbed the trellis to rescue her in the turret. Maybe there was a conversation about castles back then. I don't remember it though.
I'm really swept up in this story, Slyn.

Ok so I just posted the last piece of Ch4. Chloe's plan to run with Parker is thwarted by the one person she wanted guidance from in the first place.
We have a little bit of ex factor in this. Starting to explore a little bit more Daniel and Chloe and what went wrong there. Daniel is distant from her, and Chloe doesn't seem to be dealing well with that. I think she would much rather Daniel be more like his daughter was with Philip and yell and scream out her. Daniel has essentially shut Chloe out and it feels awful to her.
Earlier in the chapter we have Melanie focused on giving Chloe a piece of her mind and then when she discovers Chloe gone she is hell bent on warning Maggie. But now we see Melanie never got the chance. She was stopped - by Philip. Which coincidentally or incidentally (LOL) was the same person that stopped Chloe from running. Funny how Philip is still such an influence over their lives even while comatose.
So what do you think? Will Daniel keep his mouth shut about Chloe being at Maggie's house?

Philip is definitely still a huge influence in both of their lives. I am wondering if someone is drugging Chloe beyond the regular meds. Or maybe she just hasn't been eating and the meds really hit her hard. I am going back and forth trying to decide what Daniel will do. I am hoping that he will want to get her back to the hospital to get help rather than turning her over to the cops.

Drew said something about it being easier to get Chloe back into the hospital if they could say she left for medical treatment. Seems like now they can say that, and her being unwell will save her. I think whatever Philip has got, Chloe's got too. They share a lot, don't they. I don't think Daniel will turn her in. He's in doctor mode right night and I think that Philip's illness and Melanie's needs will distract Daniel from any thought he has about ratting out Chloe. Loved your previews for Chapter 5. It sounds action-packed. I'm hoping Philip will wake up in Chapter 5, that the infection will be the catalyst for a return to the living.

I agree that Daniel seems to be in doctor mode right now and with Chloe being sick he'll hopefully want to make sure she gets the medical treatment she needs.
That would be terrific if the infection is the catalyst for Philip to wake up.
