That sounds interesting Slyn. We don't know a lot about Sonny at this point.

I thought I'd do a discussion for chapter 6 part 6 but I got so busy watching Dawson's Creek clips on youtube that I forgot what I had planned to say. LOL
I had fun writing Cousin Sonny and Melanie. It is nice to write Melanie "acting her age". Life stole the frivolity of youth from her, but she has moments where she gets to be just a college girl. I like giving that to her, especially in light of all the other stresses I have heaped on her in this story.
Sonny - I like my Sonny. LOL I hope you guys do too.
Drew and Melanie's exchange - seems like he thinks that Melanie might have had a hand in ratting Chloe out to Victor. He really does go above and beyond for his clients. Fan Club indeed.
This is in response to JKJpatch's comment on the main story thread about Melanie's anger toward Chloe, when the family has forgiven her for her actions during the car accident:
As far as Melanie's attitude toward Chloe in regards to Parker...It is hard to just get over attempted murder. The car accident and leaving a baby in the woods are really two very different things. I don't think anyone that cares about Parker is "over" what Chloe did to him. Even Maggie, who may be the most sympathetic to Chloe at this point, wants her to get help before being with the baby again. Postpartum depression is not a valid defense for her behavior...legally...in most states. Chloe's mental state was compromised, but she was competent to leave a note on the baby, and put him somewhere. So why couldn't she have just left him at the house with Melanie, like Melanie asked her a few updates back? Now that Chloe is doing better and more mentally aware, it still doesn't change what she did. And it still doesn't change how her "victims" feel about her. The family still has to deal with the fact that their stepson/grandson/cousin/nephew was abandoned out in the cold by his own mother. How do you trust that person around him after that? Melanie is just vocalizing what many of them are feeling. The question will be how will Philip feel...
Next up is the last part of chapter 6 that flows directly into chapter 7. It may get a little bumpy...hold tight.

I meant to comment on that in the other thread -- that Drew implied that Melanie ratted Chloe out to Victor which is how Chloe landed in prison. I like your Sonny. He's breezy, fun and easy to talk to. He's very supportive, but he tells it like it is. Who wouldn't want him for a friend? A bumpy ride? This whole story has been bumpy. But because YOU are calling it bumpy, I'm nervous. Okay. I've got the seatbelt fastened and I'm prepared for turbulence. Hit me with your best shot.

LOL I am going to hold you to that. No moaning when Philip decides to skip town in search of his one true love Morgan Hollingsworth.

Several of those people hated Chloe long before Parker was ever conceived so they obviously don't cut her any slack. They should at least be glad she didn't have postpartum psychosis and take Parker with her as she jumped in the river.

So I think that is in the back of their minds as well. Tough situation

Chloe will never do anything right in Victor and Kate's eyes. Even if she was the one caring for Philip night and day they'd still find fault with her.
I worked with the mentally ill for several years so I may have differing thoughts than some readers.

It will be interesting to see your thoughts as this story progresses as far as Chloe's mental health and her ability to handle her son. I hope you will share if something ever strikes you. I actually started this story with one view about Chloe's actions, but then really thought about it (in terms of my characters) and I sort of changed my stance. The characters will have varying viewpoints on what is best for Parker in terms of being around his mother, And not all of those views are ones I personally agree with. I agree Victor and Kate are biased against Chloe...and we all know where it stems from...and they have yet to let it go - not sure any parent would in all fairness.

Just dawned on me I didn't give a spoiler this time. So I am open to any questions...no guarantees I will answer...but I will try.

Here's my question. You said that the next update has to do with father and son. Which father and son? I'm presuming it's not Justin and Sonny. So is it Victor and Philip? Or does Melanie bring Parker to Philip?

What is the length of time in the story from the current update to Philip waking up? I mean days or weeks not number of chapters or updates. Thanks Slyn.
