Let us know how that goes nurse2herbalist. Anyone have any good suggestion for fixing a cracking vinyl dining room chair seat?

I normally go to Joann Fabrics and buy the vinyl to cover the seat and end up buying the foam too. Aaron and I usually staple or screw things on the underside, depending upon how the chair comes apart. You need a good staple gun. I don't put much stock in the vinyl repair kits because it takes a great deal of skill to color match and to make it look right. Plus if the crack is too big it won't work and the results are not going to last real long.

I eas thinking about a vinyl repairi kit. I haven't used one, but it sounds like you have, nurse2herbalist. The crack isn't big yet, but it has potential. As for re-covering, I have 6 chairs and I don't want to recover all 6. The set isn't that old. Maybe 4 or 5 years.

When I got the kit it didn't have all these professional looking tools.
