Can you use the Magic Eraser on pots and pans? There was a mishap involving my new All Clad stainless steel fry pan, oil, and a husband. Here's what All Clad has to say: Cleaning Cleaning the Stainless Steel Interior: Immerse in warm water. Use a fine powder cleanser with water to form a paste. Apply paste using a soft cloth. Rub in a circular motion from the center outward. Wash in hot, soapy water, dry immediately. DO NOT USE oven cleaners or cleansers with chlorine bleach. DO NOT USE steel wool. Cleaning the Steel Stainless Exterior: The polished stainless steel exterior of All-Clad Stainless requires very little care. It may be polished with one of the available commercial stainless steel cleaners, rubbing in a circular motion. Rinse in lukewarm water. We do not recommend using steel wool, steel scouring pads or harsh detergents. Nylon scrubbing pads are safe to use. You may wash Stainless in the dishwasher. The cleaners that they're talking about here are: Soft Scrub Bon Ami Barkeeper's Friend

Thanks for looking that up for me, Min. That would have been good info before I used the steel wool. I use Barkeeper's Friend all the time. It's great stuff.

I burned a pan cooking dinner yesterday. Yes, I’m just a fabulous cook.
It was a nonstick greenpan and it was crusted over like crazy. I used Barkeepers Friend and the scrubby side of a sponge. I let it soak. Did the Barkeepers Friend scrubby thing again. Soaked again. Repeated this many times to no avail. I figured the pan was a loss.
So this morning, I looked online and found a recommendation to create a paste using baking soda and water and apply it using a sponge. They said to let the paste sit overnight, but I’m impatient so I used it immediately and it worked. The crustiness is gone and the pan looks almost good as new, or at least as good as it looked before I started dinner last night. So yay for Arm & Hammer Baking Soda!

Usually when I get something cooked into a pan like that I put water in it and boil the water and then wash it.

That's the one I want to try too, SG. We have a rust stain in the shower. I hope it works on that. Thanks for the link Peggy.

Both toilets in my home had some brown stuff at the very bottom that just would not come out even with hand scrubbing...
I bought this stuff called "The Works" toilet bowl,,The brown was gone after 15 minutes. Wow!

I always use The Works. It is the cheapest toilet cleaner out there and it works the best.

The Pledge was the new Pledge Dust & Allergen. It comes in a white can and should be right next to the other pledge products in the store. Cleaned my highest ceiling fan this weekend (which doesn't hapen very often b/c of how high up it is) and had it cleaned in no time as well. Keep meaning to tell you that I bought the Pledge Dust and Allergen product a while back and I love it! It practically works by itself. No elbow grease needed and it smells good. I've been dusting all surfaces as I clear them off in preparation for the floor installation which starts tomorrow and it makes cleaning so easy. And I hate cleaning. (Wish it could clear out my closets.) SG, what do you use the Greased Lightning on? I bought it but haven't used it. My favorite product for glass and mirrors is something I purchased through QVC. It's called Invisible Glass and comes in several formats: spray, wipes, and small wipes for eyeglasses. It really does make the glass look invisible and it's really quick to use. My shower door looks like it's not even there. LOL.

Fels Naptha soap works well on some clothing stains. It's less than $2 for a good size bar. It's like a really big bar of soap.

We used the greased lightning on the patio furniture and it is the only product that gets my refrigerator clean. The handles especially get so dirty and this stuff is fantastic on them.
