Hmmmm......private lessons 2-3 hours a DAY??? Something fishy there! How does the man find time to do some work with all the travel back & forth to the "office".

Well Martin really could love dance. It is believable. I know how much some of the moms shell out for dance classes around here.

CARRIE’S OFFICE, THE NEXT DAY
RAFE: (hangs up phone) Nancy said she’s on her way. She sounds so sad. I tried to tell her that what we found was positive, but she didn’t seem to hear me.
CARRIE: I can understand why. For months now, she’s been thinking that her husband was having an affair. But I’m glad that we can bring her good news.
RAFE: (smiles) Me too. That Martin guy is a really good dancer.
CARRIE: So are you, twinkle toes.
RAFE: (blushes) Really?
CARRIE: Heck yeah! But you need more practice. (hold her arms open) Let’s see what we can do.
RAFE: (laughs) Ok. Come here Joan. (takes her in his arms)

Even without the music, they begin to move in unison. Their hearts beat out the rhythm of the dance. Although Carrie’s office isn’t that large, they still manage to get through the Tango they learned the night before. The final move of the combination is a dip and Carrie throws her head back, laughing, when Rafe bends her backwards. When he lifts her back up, she grips his shoulders to balance herself.

CARRIE: (laughing) Whoa. Head rush, sorry.
RAFE: (voice low) No. It’s ok. Really.
CARRIE: (looks in his eyes and stops laughing) Oh.

Rafe lowers his head towards Carrie and tentatively kisses her. Carrie quickly responds and kisses him back. She grips the back of his neck as he wraps his arms around her. She lets out a little moan as the kiss deepens. His knees weaken at the sound. Bolder now, he reaches under her shirt to touch the skin at her lower back. Carrie’s breath quickens at his touch. Just as they are getting carried away, the bell over the front door jingles.

NANCY: Hello? Rafe? Carrie?

They jump away from each other so quickly that they knock over a chair. They hastily put themselves in order. Rafe sets the chair back up, grabs the photos off Carrie’s desk, and picks up a phone. He stops to look at Carrie for a heartbeat, then leaves the room.

RAFE: (pretending to be on a call) Mm-hmm. Yes, we can help you with that. I’ll be happy to check my schedule and I’ll give you a call back. Ok? Great. Thanks. (sets phone down) Hello Nancy.
NANCY: (tears in her eyes) I’m almost afraid to ask what you found.
RAFE: You’re gonna want to sit down for this.
NANCY: (crumbles to the chair) Oh God.
RAFE: Here are the pictures of everything.
NANCY: (flips through pictures) What is this? What am I looking at? (looks up at Rafe) I don’t understand.
RAFE: (smiles) Your husband isn’t cheating on you. He’s taking dance lessons.
NANCY: (obviously confused) Dance lessons?
CARRIE: (walks in, smiles at Nancy) Yes, dance lessons. We went undercover and discovered that he’s been taking lessons for a few months now and has actually gotten very good.
NANCY: Martin can dance?
CARRIE: And he teaches too. He takes anywhere from 10-15 lessons a week, so that would explain why he’s coming home so late. (points to Millie) That’s his teacher. She’s very professional and knows all about you. She’s helping Martin gain the confidence to ask you to join him. He’s very nervous about you finding out.
NANCY: (smiling now) He wants me to join him? I’ve always wanted to dance.
RAFE: That’s why he started this in the first place. He was doing it for you, at first, but he’s really enjoying it now.
NANCY: (smiling and crying) I just don’t know how to adequately thank you. I know we agreed on a fee, but I’m going to double it. Heck. I’m going to triple it. (grabs Carrie’s hands) Thank you.
CARRIE: It was our pleasure. (looks at Rafe) Really.
NANCY: (to Rafe) Thank you, thank you! You both have literally saved my life.
RAFE: You are very welcome.
NANCY: I’m going to tell all of my friends about you two. Best investment I’ve ever made. (gathers her things and leaves)
CARRIE: I’m glad we were able to help her.
RAFE: And we got ourselves a nifty bonus too.
CARRIE: Yeah, that IS fantastic. We’ll have extra cash to be able to….
RAFE: (interrupts her) That’s not what I’m talking about.
