Chapter 1 DUNGEON Hope is tied to a chair in the middle of a dungeon. HOPE (thinking): How does it always end up like this? Seriously? How many times have I been in this exact same position before? The door to the dungeon opens. Someone walks in, but we can't see who. HOPE: Oh, great. You again. TONY & ANNA'S HOUSE Tony is walking around the house. He is on the phone. TONY: Yes, I need you to come over to the house as soon as you can...We have something we need to discuss...Oh, it is. It's very important...Good. I'll see you in a few minutes. Tony hung up his cell phone and put it in his coat pocket. TONY: This is the day I've been waiting for for a long, long time. BEHIND THE BRADY PUB Shawn-D and Bo walk around the corner to the back of the Pub. There's a garage in front of them. BO: So, what exactly did you want to show me? SHAWN-D: Just, hang on a minute. Let me get the door open. BO: Why do I get the feeling I'm gonna regret this? SHAWN-D: Dad, trust me. This is gonna be great! Shawn-D opens the garage door. He and Bo stare at something that is inside that we can't see. BO: Oh, you've gotta be kidding me. Shawn, surely you don't think... SHAWN-D: Don't call me Shirley. Anyway, just give it a shot. You never know what'll happen. PHILIP & MELANIE'S APARTMENT Cynthia is sitting on a couch. Philip and Melanie are standing in front of her. PHILIP (angrily): Cut the c*@*, Cynthia. CYNTHIA: I've told you a thousand times, Philip, I'm not lying! PHILIP (yelling): Yes, you are! I know you are! Now, tell us what's really going on here! I want the truth! Cynthia stands up. CYNTHIA (yelling): You can't handle the truth! ABBY'S ROOM We see Abby through the lens of a video camera. She is sitting on her bed, playing with her hair. ABBY: I need a real dad. Someone who won't run out on me at the first sign of a great story. A father who doesn't leave me for a year and then come back and act like he knows everything I've been through in the past year. I need someone like Daniel. I just wish my father would disappear. CHAD (VO): You want me to off him for you? Abby looks into the camera. ABBY: Yeah. |

Previews MONDAY: Flash back to 2 weeks before Chapter 1 as Philip tries to figure out if he and Cynthia have a child together. TUESDAY: A movie inspires Chad. WEDNESDAY: Will has a chat with an old friend. THURSDAY: We move to the week before Chapter 1 where Jack and Abby get into a huge fight. FRIDAY: Hope finds out who her captor is... |

LOL to Shawn saying "Don't call me Shirley." I wonder what's in the garage? A motorcyle?
Hope seems pretty unfazed by being captured yet again. I liked her being so calm.
Cynthia, you are no Jack Nicholson. OMG, I hope she and Philip don't have a child together.
I wonder what movie Chad is inspired by.
So many questions to start off the story, including who is the Salem Beauty.
Great start Andre. I can't wait for more.

Chapter 2
TWO WEEKS EARLIER PHILIP & MELANIE'S APARTMENT Philip sat in the apartment in Chicago that he and Melanie had bought a few weeks before his high school reunion. He still couldn't believe it. There was no way that it could be possible. His mind kept going back to the night of the reunion. SALEM HIGH – FLASHBACK

Philip and Melanie were dancing. Cynthia walked over.
CYNTHIA: Mind if I cut in?
PHILIP: I'd prefer that you didn't.
CYNTHIA: Oh, come on. Is that any way to speak to the mother of your child?
Philip and Melanie stopped dancing. They looked at Cynthia with expressions that went from shock to confusion. Cynthia smiled back at them.
PHILIP: What?
CYNTHIA: Oh, that's right, I never told you. Remember that one night when you and I went out on a date and we ended up being...intimate? Well, that night together ended up producing a child.
PHILIP: You...there is no way...no way in hell that this can be happening!
CYNTHIA: But, it is, Philip. You and I have a daughter together.
PHILIP: Don't say that! That cannot happen! Please, tell me that this is all some sick, twisted joke!
CYNTHIA: It's no joke, Philip. I'm completely serious.
PHILIP: Look, we will talk about this at another time. I just need to get through the rest of the night in piece. I...I can't deal with this right now. PHILIP & MELANIE'S APARTMENT Philip stands up and walks into the kitchen. Melanie is in there, cleaning a dish. PHILIP: I have gone through every single possiblity. Every memory I have of Cynthia. And, I have come to one conclusion... Melanie sighed and put the pan down on the stove. MELANIE: Philip, how many times are we going to go through this? I can't be mad at you for something that happened before we met. Something that doesn't even concern me. PHILIP: It does concern you, though. You and I are dating. You're a huge part of my life. And, I can tell you one thing. MELANIE: What? PHILIP: Cynthia's lying. She has to be. PARK Tony DiMera is walking around the park. He is talking on his cell phone. TONY: Yes. I'm back in Salem. There was a brief pause. TONY: Hard to say, actually. It's a bit of both. Family and business. Another pause. TONY: If what you've told me is correct, then she's back in Salem. I trust that you have your information correct. Another pause. TONY: Excellent. I knew you wouldn't disappoint me. Tony hangs up. |

I really hope that Cynthia is pulling a scam on Philip and that they don't share a child. I'm very curious about Tony's conversation.
