Chapter 8
POLICE STATION
In the week since getting a call from Bo, Shawn-D had returned to Salem. Of course, now both father and son were looking for their wives. Bo and Shawn-D were sitting at computers next to each other, typing in all kinds of information.
SHAWN-D: Any leads yet, Dad?
BO: Nope, not yet. You.
SHAWN-D: Nothing. God, this is so weird! How did Mom, Belle, and John all just suddenly disappear?
BO: My guess: the DiMeras.
SHAWN-D: Because, of course, we have no other enemies.
BO: What?
SHAWN-D: Think about it, Dad. They're all connected. Mom, Belle, and John are, in a strange way, connected. You're married to Mom. I'm married to Belle. John's Belle's father. We thought that John and Mom were J.T.'s parents for a while.
BO: I get what you're saying. Man, this all seems so familiar. It's like I've seen this before. People disappearing one after another. Somehow, they're all linked...
Bo sat up, a look of shock on his face.
BO: Oh, god.
SHAWN-D: What?
BO: How did I not think of this before? I'm such an idiot!
SHAWN-D: What?
BO: It's right there. Right in front of me, and I couldn't see it. Until now.
SHAWN-D: What?
BO: I've figured it out. I know where John, Belle, and Hope are.
SHAWN-D: Where? Where are they?
BO: Melaswen. They're on Melaswen.
DUNGEON
HOPE: Are you serious?
BELLE: Yeah. When I woke up at the beginning of the week, I thought I was in Salem. Except, nobody was there. The whole town was deserted.
HOPE: Melaswen. That's where we are.
BELLE: Then, I found Greta. And, then, that doctor found us and threw us in here.
HOPE: He's not a doctor.
JOHN: Yeah, we kinda figured that. Hope, you were chosen as the lucky one who got to see who our captor is. So, who is he?
HOPE: The man claiming to be a doctor isn't a doctor at all. His name is Kurt. In the past, when I was under Stefano's spell, he was my manservant. Of course, at the time, I didn't know that he was really the manservant of a real princess.
GRETA: Hope, are you saying what I think you're saying?
HOPE: Yes.
GRETA: Then, she's alive? My mother is alive again?
HOPE: Yes, Greta. Princess Gina lives.
AIRPLANE
Bo and Shawn-D are sitting on an airplane.
SHAWN-D: Thankfully, John was able to keep the Basic Black jet after going bankrupt. And, Marlena gave us permission to use it to fly to Melaswen and find everybody.
BO: Yep. By tomorrow morning, we'll be in Melaswen. Where, I hope, we'll find John, Belle, and your mother.
PHILIP & MELANIE'S APARTMENT
PHILIP: You're sure about this?
CHLOE: Yes, I even have this tape to prove it.
Chloe played the tape.
PHILIP: Well, that settles it. I think it's time to have a little chat with our dear friend Cynthia.
