I don’t think Chloe blamed Brady for their problems she basically said he didn’t know what went on between them in their home so he really shouldn’t judge He’s not to blame for their problems but he’s definitely opportunistic in how he’s constantly trying to manipulate her I think her and Philip need better communication but they also need respect and where Brady is concerned he needs to just not be there cuz there’s no reason for his presence whatsoever

Much needed phloe flashback, one of my fav songs too. No garlic is very important for later! Haha
Philip and chloe are just that philip and chloe, once you understand them...it clicks forever. For some, like brady they will never understand.
Great chapter

The sweet flashback was perfect. I'm glad that Chloe has adjusted to moving to Florida. I think having this time to reflect will be a positive thing for Chloe.

Chapter 23e
Somewhere Off the Coast of Key West
Philip said a quick prayer before releasing the cable and plunging into the water.
In an instant, he was fully submerged under water for what felt like days. He instinctively held his breath. When his head rose to the surface, he gasped, he sucked on the oxygen coming through the tube from the tank. Before he could get his bearings, Philip was swept away in the sea’s current, moving further and further away from his target. He could barely see the family he was sent to rescue.
Panic washed over him, and he was back in the dream he had, the one where bombs were exploding all around him, keeping him from rescuing Chloe and Parker.
Bouncing up and down with the waves, Philip began to feel dizzy, seasick. He heard screams, bombs exploding. He smelled something burning, burning flesh, his leg—his leg was on fire. He couldn’t breathe.
He shook himself and forced himself to focus. He wasn’t in the middle east dodging gunfire. He was in the middle of a raging sea in the middle of a Category 3 hurricane, tethered to a Coast Guard helicopter above. That knowledge seemed little comfort as he was being battered around like a scrap of food fighting to avoid the garbage disposal. Either way, it was a life and death situation.
He pushed back his fear and swam as hard as he could toward the site of the capsized motorboat that belonged to a woman, a man, and their teenaged son.
The first victim he came upon was the woman. She was shivering and pale and her lips were turning blue. “I’m here to rescue you,” he shouted to be heard above the noise from the storm and the helicopter. He slipped one of his arms under her underarm and began towing her, swimming with one arm, and trying to keep his head above water. The fact that she was heavy-set and not cooperating was hindering his mission. He was about to tug on the guide wire to alert the helicopter to hoist them up, when the woman began resisting, squirming, screaming. She thrashed about, shoving him down under the water, bearing down on him in a blind panic, just like the coast guard trainers did, only this was the real thing. And now, they were both in danger of drowning.
Underwater now, he found himself struggling to push back to the surface. “Phiiiilip.” He heard Chloe’s voice calling his name, almost singing it. “Phiiilip.” He heard it even clearer now.
Somehow he found the strength to push the woman off of him and get a hold of her. Gasping for air, he managed to say, “Calm down or you’ll kill us both.” He shouted to make sure she heard him. “And there’ll be no one to rescue the rest of your family.” She finally stopped struggling, and he quickly tugged on the guide wire.

This has to be quite a scary situation for Philip. Glad he's trying to rescue that woman!

I'm glad Philip got through to the woman. She's clearly terrified. I hope they reach the helicopter safely and that he's able to rescue the rest of the family.

Chapter 23f
Shelter in Marathon, FL
A booming thunderclap snapped Chloe out of her memory. The lightning flashed almost constantly now and the rain beat heavenly on the roof. Tree limbs crashed into the windows. One of the facility administrators had announced that they were experiencing the fiercest part of the storm right now.
“Mommy.” Parker snuggled closer and she wrapped him in her arms, rubbing his back to soothe him. “It’s okay, angel. It’s just a big thunderstorm. It’ll be over soon.” She kissed the top of his head.
Today, the way Parker reacted when Chloe suggested he go to Salem with Brady, it became clear that her sweet little angel was petrified of his mother dying. She had read that children who lost one parent tended to have a greater fear of losing the other. That made sense, but it was still heartbreaking to see. And after Deimos threatened their lives, made her choose between Parker and Holly, blew up Philip’s boat, and nearly killed them all, it wreaked havoc on Parker’s psyche, and shook his feeling of security. It’s why he clung to her so fiercely when she dropped him off at school. She would have to speak to Gwen about ways to mitigate that fear, and do research on her own.
She glanced up toward the high window, at the dark skies and watched the sheets of rain batter the heavy glass panes. The fearsome howling of the wind was a constant reminder that Philip was out there in the Atlantic Ocean with no protection from the elements, struggling to rescue victims of the storm. She felt sick to her stomach thinking about it. She closed her eyes and said a silent prayer that he would be alright.
With her arms firmly holding onto Parker, Chloe’s chin drifted down to her chest. As noisy as the shelter was, you wouldn’t think anyone could fall asleep, but if you’re tired enough, you can fall asleep anywhere. Minutes later, she heard Philip call her name. “Chloe.”
Her eyes flew open. She looked up, she looked left, she looked right. She could have sworn it was Philip’s voice but he wasn’t here. She must have dreamed it. She did a double take when she looked to her left and realized Helen wasn’t there. She must have gone to the rest room again.
“Mommy, I’m bored,” Parker said as he fidgeted in her lap.
She blew some air through her lips and kissed Parker’s head. Smoothing out his hair, she said, “I know, angel. We just have to be patient.” She handed Parker his abandoned iPad again. “Let’s play one of your word games together.”

I'm glad she's realizing what's going on with Parker and his fear of losing his parents.
I'm also glad to see that she's going to be discussing this with Gwen instead of completely going out on her own and doing something. Doing her own research is a good thing, but she doesn't want to do anything that would contradict the strides that Parker has made with Gwen and cause a set back.

I’m glad she recognizes what’s wrong Not thrilled that she’s sticking with Gwen I really thought she’d find someone she was comfortable with even if it was done virtually I agree to do her own research as well Being a therapist doesn’t mean it’s always the right advice Look at marlena ...... it has to be a balance to what she’s comfortable with for her child and so far I’m not seeing this with Gwen at all I just see someone trying to sink her hooks into Philip I wouldn’t have given Gwen a second visit personally i would have sought out someone more professional like Mary.....hint hint
