I really hope she is not pregnant with Paul's baby... That would be so awful for her.

I think Shawn tempted fate by saying that nothing can come between he and Belle.

Chapter 7 NANT GWERNOL JAN (VO, narrating): I'm sure that when the manager hears about this, he'll have my head on a platter. But, I had to get away from the café somehow. And, this seemed like the only way to do it. It wasn't Sir Haydn's day out, but I took him out anyway. In my short time, I had already learned how to “steam” and drive an engine. So, I took him out for a trip. I went from Pendre, which is where the engines were kept, to the end of the line at Nant Gwernol. I left Sir Haydn there while I went into the restrooms of the station and cried. It hurt being so close to Shawn. I don't know why, but it did. Then again, nothing made me happy anymore. Nothing. I wanted to find some way to at least ease this pain. But, I couldn't think of anything yet. After a little while, I walked out of the station, climbed back into the cab, and drove Sir Haydn back to the station. PLANE JAN (VO, narrating): I had gotten fired from my job at the Talyllyn Railway for using an engine without permission and without putting its use on the roaster. I then quit my waitressing job. I had made enough money to by a plane ticket. So, I boarded another plane. This time, to England. HOTEL Jan is laying out her clothes on a bed. JAN (VO, narrating): Another night, another hotel room. What exactly I expected to find here, I have no idea. Jan's cell phone rang. She took it out of her pocket and answered. JAN: Hello? J.T. (VO, over phone): Jan? JAN: J.T.? J.T. (VO, over phone): Yeah. I got a call from Shawn last night. He sounded worried about you. Is everything all right? JAN: Yeah. Everything's...fine. J.T. (VO, over phone): You sure? JAN: Yeah. Yeah, I'm sure. J.T. (VO, over phone): So, where are you, anyway? Shawn told me that you left Wales. JAN: Yeah, I did. I'm in England now. Liverpool, to be exact. J.T. (VO, over phone): Well, that's good. JAN: How's Salem? J.T. (VO, over phone): Oh, same as always. Dr. Paris and I were just talking about you the other day. He was wondering if I had heard from you. He wanted to follow up with you on a few things. JAN: I see. Well, tell him that I'm fine. There's really no need fro him to check up on me. J.T (VO, over phone): You sure about that? JAN: Very sure. J.T. (VO, over phone): I'm worried about you, Jan. JAN: Well, you don't have to worry about me, okay? I'm fine. J.T. (VO, over phone): I know. And, I'm just trying to protect you. JAN: Thanks. That's sweet of you. Look, I have to go, okay? I'll talk to you later. Bye. Jan hung up.

Chapter 8 PUB Jan is sitting at the bar, having a drink. JAN (VO, narrating): I went to a pub that night. I probably shouldn't have, but I wanted to. I didn't have much, just a few drinks. I definitely didn't have enough to get plastered. Yet, I don't recall everything that happened that night. I remember an Englishman sitting at the bar next to me talking to me. But, nothing else is really springing to mind. Shortly after he started talking to me, I blacked out. UNDISCLOSED LOCATION Jan is lying on the floor. She wakes up, looks around, and feels the back of her head. JAN: Ow! MAN: You're awake. Good. The man who was sitting next to Jan at the pub in the previous scene is there. He is wearing a doctor's outfit. Jan looks around and realizes that she is in a hospital. JAN: Where am I? Who are you? MAN: You're in Salem, at the hospital. I am the doctor who is treating you. Dr. Gregory Wilson. JAN: Salem? Why am I back in Salem? WILSON: I brought you here. We need to have a talk, Ms. Spears. JAN: How do you know my name? WILSON: It was in your wallet. JAN: You have my wallet?! WILSON: Yes. I was at the same pub as you were that night. I am one of the regular doctors here, but I was at a medical convention. I took care of you and have gotten you here as soon as I could. JAN: What happened last night? WILSON: You fell off of your stool and hit your head. And, actually, it was not last night, but three days ago. It has taken me that long to get you back here to Salem. But, enough with the questions. It is my turn to ask questions. JAN: Okay. WILSON: What do you know of Hope Brady? JAN: Who wants to know? WILSON: I do. That's why I asked. JAN: I know that she's the mother of a guy I went to high school with. WILSON: Good. Where is she?

Chapter 9 SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL WILSON: Where is she, Ms. Spears? Where is Hope Brady? JAN: Why? WILSON: Because, your life depends on your answering. JAN: She's here in Salem. WILSON: Good. What is the address? JAN: If you're a doctor here, shouldn't you know? I mean, it should be in her patient file. You could just go look it up, surely. WILSON: Don't call me Shirley. And, yes, I am a doctor here. But, there is no reason for me to look it up when you can tell me. Now, tell me what her address is. JAN: Why? Why should I? What do you want with her? WILSON: You should give me the address because, as I have already explained, your life will be terminated if you don't. And I want to know her address because she and I were...close once. I wish to reconnect with her. JAN: Ever try using the internet? Or the phone? WILSON: Don't get smart with me, Ms. Spears. I don't wish to have to ask you again. Where is Hope Brady? What is here address? JAN: 526 Scuttlehoe Road. WILSON: Very good, Ms. Spears. That is all I needed. Dr. Wilson turned to leave. JAN: Wait a minute. When can I get out of here? WILSON: Soon enough. Dr. Wilson left. JAN (VO, narrating): I don't know why, but I had the strangest feeling that I shouldn't have trusted him. HALLWAY Dr. Wilson is talking on his cell phone. WILSON: She has given me the address. What is the next step? There was a moment of silence in which (presumably) whoever was talking on the phone gave Dr. Wilson his next orders. WILSON (American accent): Yes, it shall be done. And, what do we do with the girl? More silence. WILSON (American accent): We cannot let her stay here forever. She has nothing to do with this. More silence. WILSON (American accent): Very well. Yes, I shall be sending her to Chicago. Goodbye. HOSPITAL ROOM Dr. Wilson walked back into Jan's room. WILSON: Good news, Ms. Spears. You will be getting out of here as soon as I can arrange it. JAN: Good. But, where will I be going? I don't have any more money. I blew it all on a flight to England. WILSON: That has already been arranged. Some of my fellow doctors and I will be arranging a trip for you to go to Chicago. JAN: I don't care where I go as long as I get out of Salem.
