I thought it was a pretty good episode, but I didn't like the part with Frank. I thought he was being unusually petty, and since when does Frank Reagan run away from an event because people might ask questions he doesn't like? I loved Henry's speech, though. I also thought Erin was overly cruel and petty. Her colleague was corrupt and unprofessional, and he ruined Joe's case. And Joe isn't a lesser relative because he's not her brother. He has the same right to call her office out when they mess up that the other Reagans do. Here's my writeup. www.tvfanatic.com/2022/11/blue-bloods-season-13-episode-6-review-dangerous-ground/

I loved last week's Blue Bloods. I think Anthony may be my favorite character. I didn't like it that I never knew he'd been divorced and had a daughter, but I liked all those interactions. But just like Erin was self-righteous with Joe last week, she did the same thing with Anthony this week. She should take a look in the mirror and figure out why people think of her the way they do.
I liked Eddie's case, and I liked how Danny confided in Baez and finally made peace with Jamie.
I didn't like the story of the guy who set up his girlfriend so he could play hero.
Overall, it was one of the better episodes of the season so far.

I loved this analysis heroicmuse. www.tvfanatic.com/2023/01/blue-bloods-season-13-episode-11-review-lost-ones/I actually liked the episode more than I've liked any recently. I enjoyed the family interactions which have been missing lately. But after reading your recap, I agree that there were too many holes and the show made the viewer make too many assumptions. There was no chemistry between Danny and Acosta, but if he needs to get over the dating hump, that's fine too. I like the idea of Danny romantically involved with Baez or Maggie, either one. They didn't need to go the corrupt route with the pastor either. Too stereotypical. And the Shy storyline felt half done. You are right that so much seemed to be left on the cutting room floor.

Another very lukewarm episode in a lukewarm season. Last night's episode did not hold my interest. I find Tom Cavanaugh to be an overrated actor. He plays essentially the same role no matter what show he's in. No range.
I think when Eddie has a story in any episode, the show has more energy, but she's been featured in very few episodes this season, or so it seems.

Forgot to talk about Blue Bloods from last Friday. It was the first episode I really liked in a while and I think it has a lot to do with Eddie. She gives the show life. I didn't like the way Erin treated her. She always treats her like a piece of gum on her shoe. And I especially hated that she turned out to be right in the end. That wasn't necessary and almost felt like an add-on that the actor demanded.
I'd like Joe to be more respectful of Frank.
Danny's case was interesting but I figured out whodunit pretty quick.
But all things considered, it was a good episode.

You and I had very similar opinions on this one, heroicmuse. Did you say no new episodes for a few weeks?

Kpatch Last I heard it comes back March 3. I know it's not on tonight and as far as I know not the following week, though I'll keep my eye out in case that changes.

What did you think about Friday's episode?
I was lukewarm about it. I didn't like how Frank was bending over backwards for Rachel or that he invited her to dinner. She didn't deserve it. I also didn't like how Anthony and that campaign manager had a history. That was not a credible coincidence and it felt like manufactured drama. I did love hearing Erin call Anthony her work husband.

I loved it. I didn't think either Rachel or the cop was 100% right and I thought the theme of things not being what they seem was strong. I liked that Jamie and Eddie finally interacted for more than two seconds. I was wondering if the writers have been reading my Chanel storyline with that story with that foster child Danny and Baez were investigating. LOL I didn't like the Erin story, but I rarely do. I found that campaign manager or whatever she was annoying. Here's my writeup: www.tvfanatic.com/2023/03/blue-bloods-season-13-episode-14-review-collision-course/

Pretty good episode with lots of characters involved, the way I like it. I loved Jamie and Frank. My husband always says they have the most realistic relationship of all the parent/child relationships on the show.
I didn't like who turned out to be Jamal's killer. Felt like they sacrificed that guy to make the drug dealer/gang member into a good guy posthumously.
Good to see the grandkid doing something different. Why would no one give him the benefit of the doubt and encourage him for trying to cook for the family instead of acting like it's a bad thing and they're all going to hate the food?

CBS has renewed its hit drama “Blue Bloods” for the 2023-2024 season, marking the show's 14th year on the network. “'Blue Bloods' has dominated Friday nights since its premiere and remained an important anchor for CBS' winning lineup,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment.

I'm so excited Blue Bloods has been renewed. IMO canceling their highest rated program would have been a stupid decision for CBS.
