Love how Phillip said that he wanted them to raise their son TOGETHER!!!
Hopefully Phillip and Chloe will find their way back to each other so they can be a family with Parker.

I like how you pointed out that Philip was only in his pajama bottoms. Nice touch! Also, great scene!!!!! So much drama, so much emotion, and excellently "acted." I hope this doesn't turn into a "Hand That Rocks the Cradle" thing........ DD, you know me better than that! *kpatch grumbles and heads back to her studio for a rewrite.* Uh-oh. Did I spoil the story?

Love how Phillip said that he wanted them to raise their son TOGETHER!!! Philip & Chloe were not a couple for a long time & it doesn't necessarily mean they will get together. He may not have meant it that way. I am hoping they can at least be friends for Parker's sake & maybe, just maybe they can become a couple down the road.

Awesome chapter jkjpatch!!!! I love how Phillip threw it back at Chloe that she wasn't taking care of Parker the way he needed to be taken care of by staying at the Cheating Heart all day drinking. I have never blamed Phillip for taking Parker.
Sometimes the truth hurts and I hope that Chloe FULLY realizes her role in all of this as well and quits laying it all at Phillip's feet.

I'm glad that they're addressing past events. Chloe isn't going to get better if she continues to lay blame of her life on someone else. Phil is never going to get understanding if he doesn't get the background of what she's been through. And, why does everyone always have to hit the pretty face?

Loved the chapter. I agree with Philip. He did do everything he could to help Chloe, but it wauld take both of them working at it to make it work. Thanks for the chapter Kpatch.

I liked seeing them admit the animosity they have toward each other. They have to work through all of that for Parker's sake. I look forward to what happens next.

I like how you pointed out that Philip was only in his pajama bottoms. Nice touch! Also, great scene!!!!! So much drama, so much emotion, and excellently "acted." Thanks for noticing, DD. The actors have been rehearsing like crazy. Seriously, I was thinking about how this story is really like a stage play. Mostly it's a two-person drama with other characters here and there, but when I picture it unfolding in my mind, I see it on a stage. I'm glad this story is striking a chord with readers. Thanks for your great comments and your interest in the plot. A reader asked if I would post previews, so here goes. Mini-previewHow awkward will it be at breakfast on the morning after the big blow-up?

THE NEXT MORNING
Philip was in the kitchen popping a couple pieces of bread in the toaster when Chloe walked in.
Chloe: Hi. Philip looked over at her. Philip: Hi. Coffee will be ready in a minute. Toast? Chloe: Sure. Thanks. ... I just checked on Parker. He’s watching Sesame Street videos. Philip: He loves those. Chloe: I learn something new about him every day. ... Philip. Philip: Chloe. ... Um ... You go first. Chloe: I was just going to say I’m sorry about last night. Philip: Me too. I didn’t mean to blow up at you like that. Brady said to go easy on you. He smiles. I was never very good at following instructions. Chloe: That’s true. You never were. Chloe smiled a little and Philip realized that’s the first time he’d seen her smile since she arrived in Chicago. Her smile softened his mood. Philip: Come here. Philip put his arms around Chloe and as he held her, he was surprised by how fragile she felt. He stepped back and Chloe could see the red mark on Philip’s face where she hit him last night. She touched his cheek. Chloe: Sorry about that. Philip: Don’t worry about it. I get punched in the face all the time. ... Hey, I have an idea. I have a meeting on East Wacker this morning. Why don’t you meet me for lunch afterward? Chloe: Lunch? Philip: Yeah. You haven’t been out of the apartment since you arrived. It’ll be a nice change of pace and it’ll give us a chance ... to catch up. Just the two of us. Chloe: Okay, I guess. Philip: Lucinda will be here soon. Just tell her you’re meeting me for lunch. Chloe: I’ll have to get dressed. Philip: Yes, that’s customary. But you don’t need to dress up. I’m gonna take you to my favorite Thai restaurant. It’s a little hole in the wall ... a dive really, but the food is great. Chloe: What time? Philip: Let’s say 11:30.
To be continued...

Love the way that Philip warmed up to Chloe. She needs someone to be kind to her. I could just see them in the kitchen with the coffee and toast. I love Thai think maybe I can run out to the resturant and be there while they have dinner?? Thanks to the chapter Kpatch. Can't wait till tomorrow. So glad I don't have to wait all weekend for the next chapter.

Love that they both apologized for the "heat of the moment" responses. Can't wait for Philip's reaction when he finds out what Chloe did...something tells me it will be more guilt than anger.
