Sources say he and the show were unable to come to terms on a new deal. It is unfortunate timing for the show, which is in the middle of a well-publicized relaunch, as Scott is one of the key members of the cast. Scott joined the show in 2006 after wrapping a stint on AMC as Ethan and became an instant fan fave. Check back for more updates.

Wow, I really hope this is another ruse like when it was reported Mark Hapka was returning.. I can't even fathom anyone else playing EJ....

This could just be a ploy to get more money. He wouldn't be the first actor to do this. Or ... with all the returns, maybe he doesn't see a place for himself in Salem. Or ... he doesn't want to explore the softer side of EJ. Or ....

Wow,I'm away from the computer for just a bit,and news like THIS comes out!I gotta learn to stay put,lol.I'm sorry to those of you who love him.Personally as much as James is a good actor,I'm not worried about him,nor will I miss the character if this is in fact not a ruse and he does leave.
